At the foot of Mount Rushmore on the Fourth of July, President Trump redrew the battle lines of the election, describing the contest not just as a referendum on his handling of the economy or his response to the coronavirus, but as a struggle against those who aim “to overthrow the American Revolution.”
He reiterated the message three days later, telling RealClearPolitics in an Oval Office interview that “we are in a culture war.”
Trump had warned at Rushmore that the country is under assault from “a merciless campaign to wipe out our history, defame our heroes, erase our values, and indoctrinate our children.” He said in his speech that “an angry mob” is working to “tear down statues of our Founders, deface our most sacred memorials, and unleash a wave of violent crime in our cities.”
And on Tuesday the president told RCP that his party needed to enlist in the culture war or risk ruin. “If the Republicans don't toughen up and get smart and get strong and protect our heritage and protect our country,” he explained, “I think they're going to have a very tough election.”

No question about that. Trump needs to clean house in the DOJ, DHS, DOD, and other law enforcement agencies. The only way he can drain that swamp is by him taking out some bad apples, setting an example with draconian punishments, and then having the rest fall in line. He can do that only by assuming total authority over the US including the corrupt courts. I'm afraid he can't let another rigged election take place either or accept the outcome of a rigged election. The US is a republic and Trump is the guarantee of that republic's survival with liberty and freedom for its patriots.

Good leaders act BEFORE a problem becomes critical. Good leaders motivate and spawn massive support by example and the display of moral rectitude and loyalty to those who follow him.
Great leaders rise up when they see their children and the Nation challenged by radical movements and those in high places... they don't permit such movements to continue or such men to occupy positions of authority in the government... the government of the people, by the people and for the people must be in the hands of those who serve the people...
Let us pray that the President is surrounded by those who will encourage him to use his charisma and political powers to save a nation in serious trouble from within... from public servants who have lost their way, from men who see government as their personal tool for aggrandizement and power. The People need a true hero, they don't need more betrayal
The GOP never had a spine, otherwise Democrats and their thugs could not destroy statues, burn cars and businesses, or loot and hurt and even commit murders. Democrat Party is despicable, but most Republicans are scared to take them on.
Exactly... the GOP is full of political cowards and opportunists... there are few real leaders in the GOP, most of the leadership are the whelps of generational dynasties a new age aristocracy of wealthy men and women, with a few exceptions. Many see the general public as their personal pool of indentured servants and obligated supporters. However, that is about to change as a new generation of socialist will cull them like cattle, as they did the generations of Bourgeois before them. If the GOP leadership doesn't wake up soon they will find themselves stripped of their power and wealth.. and interned in the gulags of the Deep State.
Sign me up. I'm retired and take care of my elderly mother part time and am relatively healthy with energy still in my bones. I'm tired of not doing anything other than technology stuff (which I'm not an expert). Get me involved in the fight!
