Big Tech's Free Speech Purge Begins
In the aftermath of the storming of the Capitol building, social media giants Twitter and Facebook, working in concert to enforce the Democrat and Leftmedia narrative, suspended President Donald Trump’s account over the dubious claim of seeking to prevent further incitements of violence. While Twitter’s ban on the president was initially temporary, it quickly followed Facebook’s lead in permanently banning Trump.
But that was just the beginning. Silicon Valley tycoons elected to go full Orwellian by not only deplatforming Trump but also going after recent social media startup Parler, which conservatives and Trump supporters have been flocking to in droves in recent months. Google was the first to initiate the purge, announcing that it had banned the Parler app from its store because it claimed the free speech-promoting platform had failed to follow Google’s guidelines against preventing violent speech. Hours later, Apple followed suit by banning Parler from its app store.
Then came what might become the nail in Parler’s coffin. Amazon Web Services suspended its hosting service for Parler, and prospects for an adequate replacement aren’t great. “It’s devastating is what it is. It’s an assault on everybody,” Parler CEO John Matze explained. “They all worked together to make sure at the same time we would lose access to not only our apps, but they are actually shutting all our servers off.”
“They made an attempt to not only kill the app, but to actually destroy the entire company,” he added. “We’re going to try our best to get back online as quickly as possible. But we’re having a lot of trouble because every vendor we talk to says they won’t work with us. Because if Apple doesn’t approve and Google doesn’t approve, they won’t.”
Predictably, Amazon justified its action with false equivalency, asserting that it “cannot provide services to a customer that is unable to effectively identify and remove content that encourages or incites violence against others.” It’s a sick twist on the game of sharks and minnows — become a censor, or you’ll be censored.
The clear goal for the totalitarian Democrats and their Leftmedia cohorts is to consolidate power by creating the dubious notion that Trump and anyone who supported him, including the Republican Party and conservatives en masse, are dangerous pariahs who must be silenced. Nothing could be more anti-American or dangerous to our national discourse.
Do Democrats want a civil war?
The reason behind Big Tech’s willingness to squelch free speech likely has as much to do with cronyism as it does ideology. Democrats have long blamed social media for allowing Trump’s 2016 election, and they have repeatedly demanded that “misinformation” and “hate speech” be removed from these supposedly “open forum” platforms. Big Tech seeks to curry favor with Democrats, now in control of both houses of Congress and the executive branch, with the aim of getting the federal government to back off its trustbusting and regulatory efforts. Secondly, these tech giants have found a convenient excuse to underhandedly suppress marketplace competition.
Finally, the hypocrisy of Big Tech would be funny if it wasn’t such a dire threat to Liberty itself. In a classic example of a statement that didn’t age well, back in 2015, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey insisted, “Twitter stands for freedom of expression. Twitter stands for speaking truth to power.” Now Dorsey and his fellow fascist tech tycoons are using their near monopolistic powers to silence anyone attempting to say unapproved things.
Meanwhile, Big Tech seems to have no problem with actual dictators like Iran’s Ayatollah Khamenei using its platforms to call for violence against Israel and the U.S., or with hosting the Chinese-created TikTok app, which is notorious for stealing user data. Dems Demand Resignation, Removal, or Impeachment
Democrats, in their sincere desire to heal the nation (ahem), are demanding that President Donald Trump resign just days before he’ll leave office. Short of that, they’re demanding that Vice President Mike Pence use the Constitution’s 25th Amendment to declare Trump unfit and remove him.
Neither of these events is within the power of Democrats to carry out, however, so they’re also in the process of cooking up an event they can control: impeachment. And, again, all this just nine days before scumbag/liar-Joe Biden is scheduled to take office.
Which prompts us to wonder: In the wake of an election in which tens of millions of Americans continue to believe that Big Tech, Big Media, and the Democrats stole the election from Donald Trump, how, exactly, are actions like these supposed to heal the nation?
We guess the floggings will continue until morale improves.
Not surprisingly, House Speaker scumbag/liar-Nancy Pelosi is the driving force behind all this — yes, the same unhinged scumbag/liar-Nancy Pelosi who disgraced her office (and violated the law) by tearing to shreds the president’s State of the Union speech last February. She seems to think the president is unstable — so much so that last week she told the world about her discussion with the chairman of the Joint Chiefs to ensure that our nation’s nuclear codes are safe from the commander-in-chief. Yes, scumbag/liar-Nancy Pelosi told our enemies that she’s in charge of our nukes — and yet she’s worried that we have an “unstable president.”
We thinks she doth project too much.
It might be that scumbag/liar-Pelosi thinks she has public opinion behind her. After all, a Reuters Ipsos poll taken in the immediate aftermath of last Wednesday’s Capitol riot says the American people, by a 57-43 margin, want Trump out of office before the end of his term. Of course, these are the same polling geniuses who had scumbag/liar-Biden ahead by nine in Wisconsin and four in Florida.
It might also be that the Democrats and their media bootlickers simply want to drive an even deeper wedge into the Republican Party between those like Senators Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley, who support Trump, and those like Senators Lisa Murkowski and Pat Toomey, who are calling for him to resign.
Donald Trump isn’t resigning, though, and the Democrats know it. So the House will vote on a resolution today calling on Pence to invoke the 25th and thereby remove the president for being unfit. “In protecting our Constitution and our democracy,” sputtered the speaker, “we will act with urgency, because this president represents an imminent threat to both. As the days go by, the horror of the ongoing assault on our democracy perpetrated by this president is intensified and so is the immediate need for action.”
Strange. We don’t recall President Trump grabbing a pitchfork and leading the charge with cries to storm the Capitol, but we do, specifically, remember him saying just minutes before his supporters headed up Pennsylvania Avenue, “I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.”
House Majority Whip scumbag-James Clyburn (D-SC), the man most responsible for scumbag/liar-Biden’s political resurrection, may have tipped his party’s hand regarding impeachment. As National Review’s Zachary Evans reports, “House Democrats are currently circulating one article of impeachment against the president for ‘incitement to insurrection,’ and could vote on the article before Trump leaves office. However, scumbag-Clyburn indicated that the House may wait to send the article to the Senate for a trial and vote. ‘We’ll take the vote that we should take in the House, and [ scumbag/liar-Nancy Pelosi] will make the determination as to when is the best time to get that vote and get the managers appointed and move that legislation over to the Senate.’”
Why would the Democrats wait on the Senate trial, especially now that they control the upper chamber? “It just so happens,” said scumbag-Clyburn, “that if it didn’t go over there for 100 days, it could — let’s give President-elect scumbag/liar-Biden the 100 days he needs to get his agenda off and running.”
And yet, if conservative radio host John Fredericks is any indication, the GOP doesn’t need any help from scumbag/liar-Pelosi, scumbag-Clyburn, or any other Democrat when it comes to sowing discord among the Republican ranks. “We’re done with the surrender caucus,” Fredericks said, referring to those at the RNC’s annual winter meeting. “We’re done with pina colada Republicans who go to retreats in resorts in Amelia Island in the most important three days of our republic. While Rome burned, they are sipping margaritas out of swizzle sticks.” ~ The Patriot Post
Democrats Win, Economy Loses Jobs
Well, that didn’t take long. The first month after a contentious election gave us what eventually became total Democrat control of Washington, the economy lost jobs for the first time since April. Employers cut 140,000 positions, while the headline unemployment rate stayed put at 6.7%.
“Friday’s figures from the Labor Department depict a sharply uneven job market, with losses concentrated among restaurants, bars, hotels and entertainment venues, many of them affecting low-income employees, while most other sectors are still adding workers,” reports the Associated Press. “Restaurants, bars, hotels, casinos, movie theaters and other entertainment venues shed nearly 500,000 jobs.” All told, the economy has recovered only a little more than half of the jobs lost, and “the nation has nearly 10 million fewer jobs than it did before the pandemic sent it into a deep recession.”
Fixating on “the pandemic” is an innocuous way of avoiding putting the blame squarely where it belongs — primarily Democrat governors, mayors, and county executives who have shut down or severely restricted many businesses for months. We can’t recall 15 days ever lasting so long. And a nation weighed down for 10 months by lockdowns, mask mandates, and limits to gathering sizes is still seeing record cases and deaths.
Democrats are hurting low-income workers, all while filling the pockets of “big box” retailers like Amazon and Walmart. (Centibillionaire socialist Amazon owner Jeff Bezos thanks you for your business.) Nevertheless, according to the AP, it is Democrats who will save us: “The incoming scumbag/liar-Biden administration, along with a now fully Democratic-led House and Senate, is also expected to push more rescue aid and spending measures that could accelerate growth.”
House Speaker scumbag/liar-Nancy Pelosi told us who will primarily benefit from that spending: Democrat union constituencies. She said, “We will finally pass the robust relief that our state and local heroes — our healthcare workers; first responders; transit, sanitation and food workers; and our teachers, our teachers, our teachers — need to keep our communities healthy, safe, and working.”
And scumbag/liar-Joe Biden said identity politics will be determinative: “Our priority will be Black, Latino, Asian, and Native American owned small businesses, women-owned businesses, and finally having equal access to resources needed to reopen and rebuild.”
One notable takeaway from the last 10 months is that the economy may be fundamentally and permanently changed. Will some of the lost jobs ever return? Unlikely, because consumer habits are so altered. On the other hand, with online commerce becoming even more a part of people’s lives, hundreds of thousands of new jobs catering to that reality may be here to stay.
In any case, assuming Democrats relent and don’t do too much further damage (that’s a BIG assumption), many economic forecasts that factor in a COVID vaccine becoming more widely distributed and used say 2021 will see jobs created in numbers not seen since the post-World War II boom. We Don't Trust Our Elections
If we can’t trust our elections, we’re sunk as a nation. Kaput. And right now, nearly four in 10 Americans — including nearly one in five Democrats — don’t trust our elections. Or, at least, they didn’t trust our most recent election.
If you think we’re being overly dramatic about election integrity, you must’ve missed what happened at the Capitol last Wednesday. Five people died. And what were they protesting? Our nation’s lack of election integrity, and our politicians’ unwillingness to do anything about it.
These weren’t hoodlums. They weren’t career criminals or agitators or troublemakers. But for perhaps a few antifa infiltrators, these were Trump supporters. They were among the tens of millions of Americans who voted to reelect our 45th president, and they think they got robbed. They’re furious, and they have every right to be.
Let’s put it this way: If you think your vote was stolen and you aren’t furious, then you have no business casting a ballot.
Last Wednesday, before the events at the Capitol unfolded, The Federalist’s John Daniel Davidson published a piece about the vital need in our nation for trustworthy elections. It isn’t the first piece Davidson has written about our deeply flawed presidential election, but it was perhaps the most important article no one ever saw.
“The corporate media,” he wrote, “have with one voice denounced [pro-Trump House and Senate] Republicans and dismissed their concerns as nothing more than the ravings of partisans obsessed with peddling conspiracy theories and currying favor with Donald Trump. Chuck Todd of NBC News declared Sunday that ‘not a single court has found a single instance of fraud’ — an assertion precisely no one believes, not even Todd himself. Yet that’s been the media’s mantra — that there is ‘no evidence’ of voter fraud or irregularities, none whatsoever. We are all supposed to pretend that 2020 was the first election in American history that was clean as the driven snow.”
Todd went so far as to accuse Johnson of using his Senate committee “to create the illusion of voter fraud.” We could just as easily argue, though, that Todd and his Big Media brethren have been guilty of trying to create the illusion of a free, fair, and reliable election. Ohio Representative Jim Jordan, among others, isn’t buying it. But the compelling points he makes — such as President Trump increasing his vote totals with blacks and Hispanics, and winning 19 of 20 “bellwether” counties, and House Republicans winning 27 of 27 “toss-up” races — have been met with yawns from Democrats and the mainstream media.
“Eighty million Americans — 80 million of our fellow citizens, Republicans and Democrats — have doubts about this election,” said Jordan. “And 60 million people … think it was stolen. … We asked for an investigation. We asked Chairman [Jerry] Nadler, Chairwoman [Carolyn] Maloney, for an investigation. They said no. Wouldn’t want to investigate something that half the electorate has doubts about. It’s just the presidency of the United States.”
By refusing to investigate — indeed, by categorically dismissing the legitimate concerns of so many voters — Democrats have fueled the partisan rage and widened the chasm between the parties and their voters. In doing so, they’re merely ensuring that Joe Biden will come into office with the stench of illegitimacy.
As for fixing our broken system, what we wrote last month is no less accurate today: “Mass mail-in balloting? Whose awful idea was that? … Look for Democrats to zealously defend it going forward. Look, too, for any voting-reform efforts led by Republicans to be met with fierce resistance. Stricter voter ID laws? An end to early voting? Tighter eligibility requirements and better signature verification processes for mail-in and absentee ballots? A fully transparent vote-counting process? Criminal consequences for election officials who restrict the access of vote-counting observers? Look for Democrats and their media lickspittles to label efforts like these as ‘undemocratic’ and ‘racist’ and ‘nothing more than an effort to suppress the vote.’”

Remember Merrick Garland? He's scumbag/liar-Biden's New AG
scumbag/liar-Joe Biden announced Thursday that he has nominated Judge Merrick Garland to serve as his attorney general. Recall that Garland was the judge Barack scumbag/liar-nObama nominated for the U.S. Supreme Court during the last year of his presidency, a nomination the Republican-controlled Senate led by Mitch McConnell refused to consider.
With the choice of Garland, scumbag/liar-Biden seemingly has avoided picking a controversial and partisan individual who would have raised serious objections from Republicans. While Garland certainly leans left, the even-tempered 68-year-old is not likely to ruffle partisan feathers — or so we hope. In his introduction, Garland noted that he was there to serve “the law and not factional purposes.”
His choice of Garland also indicates that scumbag/liar- Biden is not likely to push for investigations into President Donald Trump. As scumbag/liar-Biden stated in November, “I will not do what this president does and use the Justice Department as my vehicle to insist that something happen. There are a number of investigations that I’ve read about that are at a state level — there’s nothing at all I can or cannot do about that. But I’m focused on getting the American public back in a place where they have some certainty, some surety, some knowledge that they can make it. Middle-class and working-class people are being crushed — that’s my focus.”
What this president does? It was Team scumbag/liar- nObama- scumbag/liar-Biden that weaponized the Justice Department against political opponents. As for the people “being crushed” right now, we can only presume scumbag/liar-Biden means to shift the focus from the DOJ and Rule of Law to the economy. But it is Democrats — governors, mayors, county executives — who are crushing people with lockdowns. That is an injustice.
Back to the DOJ, the bigger question is whether Garland will continue to allow both the ongoing John Durham investigation into the origins of the Russia hoax and the FBI’s investigation into Hunter Biden. Capitol Chaos Illustrates Stark Hypocrisy
We’re living in a time of egregious double standards where Democrats and complicit media hold Republicans to a different code of conduct than themselves. An asymmetrical playing field that continues to divide the nation and perpetuate ever-growing anger and resentment amongst President Donald Trump’s 74 million supporters.
Take election integrity. Democrats get a free pass to sow distrust in our elections to serve their political ambitions no matter how divisive and destabilizing to our country. If you recall, over the past four years scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton claimed the election was stolen from her while fellow Democrats refused to accept the results of the 2016 election. In September 2019, The Washington Post reported, “ scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton dismissed Trump as an ‘illegitimate president’ and suggested that ‘he knows’ that he stole the 2016 presidential election.”
But Trump’s not allowed to question the results of the 2020 election even if he believes voter fraud took place.
Who made those rules?
It’s well-known that scumbag/liar-Clinton and her comrades peddled the sinister “Russia collusion” myth — a manufactured conspiracy theory — against Donald Trump, which the media gleefully trumpeted. A bogus dossier paid for by the 2016 Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee was used by the FBI as a pretext to open criminal investigations against Trump and his associates, who were targeted, spied on and harassed. Lives were ruined. Yet, despite a 22-month Special Counsel Probe that found insufficient evidence of conspiracy, the Russia collusion lie persisted to delegitimize the result of the 2016 election and sabotage the Trump administration.
This is a far cry from respecting our nation’s most sacred institution — free elections — and respecting the will of the people.
The left waged an all-out #Resist movement against Trump that lasted for the duration of his presidency. His supporters — ironically, many who are Black, Latino, Asian and Muslim — were called “racist” and every other despicable name in the book. And, for an encore, Democrats impeached Trump over a phone call.
Hardly the peaceful transfer of power the left and media are now demanding from their GOP counterparts. Yet, conservatives have not forgotten Rep. scumbag/worthless-Maxine Waters calling for Trump’s Impeachment — before he was even inaugurated — nor the nearly 70 Democratic lawmakers that boycotted his inauguration, a boycott that swelled after late civil rights icon John Lewis, D-Ga., also said he didn’t consider Trump a legitimate president.
Nonsense. But in the wake of the riots that took place at the Capitol Building on Wednesday, the left and its media sycophants are haughtily lecturing conservatives about the importance of respecting the peaceful transition of power.
Naturally, they wipe from memory all the violence and destruction that antifa and left-wing protestors waged for months burning cities across America following the George Floyd tragedy.
Consider Trump’s inauguration in January 2017.
“Six police officers were injured and 217 protesters arrested Friday after a morning of peaceful protests and coordinated disruptions of Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony gave way to ugly street clashes in downtown Washington,” CNN reported at the time. “At least two DC police officers and one other person were taken to the hospital after run-ins with protesters. … Bursts of chaos erupted on 12th and K streets as black-clad ‘antifascist’ protesters smashed storefronts and bus stops, hammered out the windows of a limousine and eventually launched rocks at a phalanx of police lined up in an eastbound crosswalk.”
CNN added, “Anti-Trump protests also broke out Friday in US cities, including New York, Seattle, Dallas, Chicago and Portland, Oregon. Authorities in Seattle say one person was in critical condition at a hospital with a gunshot wound.”
None of that excuses the riots at the Capitol building this week by Trump supporters, some who engaged in unruly protest, violence and destruction. These reprehensible acts deserve condemnation and accountability. But make no mistake. Those that broke the law do not represent the 74 million hardworking, law-abiding, patriotic Americans who stayed home that day. Nor do they represent many who honorably serve in the U.S. military.
Democrats and the malicious media must stop trying to paint all conservatives negatively for the actions of a few. After all, how would they like it if they were also smeared for far-left extremist groups’ criminal acts?
Bottom line: If our country is to truly heal and unify, then Democrats should practice what they preach and reacquaint themselves with the Golden Rule: Treat others as you want to be treated.
