Tim Scott Upstages Sleepy socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe
There was a speech last night, and it was a good one. It was presidential through and through; it was forceful, optimistic, and upbeat; it brought us together as Americans; and it reminded us of why ours is still the greatest nation on earth.
Oh, and socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden also spoke.
To say that South Carolina Republican Senator Tim Scott merely upstaged the president last night is to miss out on the enormity of the task: The brief rebuttal from the opposition party always pales in comparison, even when an accomplished and eloquent speaker is at the mic. All we remember about Marco Rubio, for example, was him reaching for that water bottle. No, for majesty and spectacle, there’s simply no beating an American president’s speech to a joint session of Congress.
Except last night.
It was a bizarre spectacle, to say the least: a sparsely populated chamber with everyone socially distanced and still wearing masks, even though everyone in attendance had already been vaccinated. Just 200 people in a setting that can accommodate 1,000. And there was more than a bit of dissonance between that weird, surreal setting and socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s introductory claim: “America is rising anew. Choosing hope over fear. Truth over lies. Light over darkness. After 100 Days of rescue and renewal, America is ready for takeoff.”
We’re ready for takeoff, all right. Just stay over there and don’t forget your face diaper.
socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden started off smartly enough, looking behind him and saying, “Madame scumbag/liar-speaker. Madame lowlife/liar-vice president. No president has ever said those words from this podium, and it’s about time.”
It went downhill from there, though. For one thing, he quickly lapsed into that same irritating tic that plagues all Democrat presidents — that of saying “invest” and “investing” when they mean to say “spend” and “spending.”
“Throughout our history,” he said, “public investments and infrastructure have transformed America.” This, of course, was a predictable tee-up for his budget-busting “American Jobs Plan,” which he called “a once-in-a-generation investment in America itself.”
And speaking of budget-busters, “To win that competition for the future,” he said, “we also need to make a once-in-a-generation investment in our families — in our children. That’s why I’m introducing the American Families Plan tonight.”
If you’re keeping score, that’s two “once-in-a-generation” “American” “investments” we’re getting. Lucky us. He’s “The Six Trillion Dollar Man,” said Karl Rove, and future generations will pay for it.
It wasn’t all spending, though. There was also plenty of demagoguery about evil whitey. “Make no mistake,” socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden said, quickly pivoting from foreign foes, “the terrorist threat has evolved beyond Afghanistan since 2001 and we will remain vigilant against threats to the United States, wherever they come from. … And we won’t ignore what our own intelligence agencies have determined — the most lethal terrorist threat to the homeland today is from white supremacist terrorism.”
Yeah, those 18 white supremacists are the only thing keeping us from realizing the American Dream.
The next words out of Biden’s mouth? “And my fellow Americans, we must come together to heal the soul of this nation.” This from the most divisive president in modern history. This from the guy who during his victory speech promised, “I will work as hard for those who didn’t vote for me as those who did.”
Enough.
Tim Scott, on the other hand, shone brightly. “We just heard President socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s first address to Congress,” he began. “Our president seems like a good man. His speech was full of good words. But President socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden promised you a specific kind of leadership. He promised to unite a nation. To lower the temperature. To govern for all Americans, no matter how we voted. That was the pitch. You just heard it again. But our nation is starving for more than empty platitudes. We need policies and progress that bring us closer together.”
That was the only bone Scott would throw socialist/ scumbag/liar-Biden’s way. Indeed, he was at his best when he challenged the president’s instinct to see white racism under every rock and behind every tree. “Hear me clearly,” Scott said. “America is not a racist country. It’s backwards to fight discrimination with different types of discrimination, and it’s wrong to use our painful past to dishonestly shut down debates in the present.”
Clearly, the South’s first black senator since Reconstruction was over the target. How do we know? “‘Uncle Tim’ trended on Twitter Wednesday night,” David Rutz of Fox News reported, “as left-wing users flooded the site with the racial slur … following his rebuttal to President Biden’s address to Congress. His rhetoric infuriated some progressives, and Twitter placed ‘Uncle Tim’ on its trending topics as more tweets relayed the insulting, racially charged play on his name.” The trend was eventually blocked.
Scott, though, took the high road, touching upon his hardscrabble upbringing and his family’s “cotton-to-Congress” story. He credited his single mom for not having given up on him, and then he went off script to pay tribute to single moms everywhere. He also credited his faith: “Becoming a Christian transformed my life,” he said.
He then hit on the lost year for our children: “Locking vulnerable kids out of the classroom is locking adults out of their future,” he said. “Our public schools should have reopened months ago. Other countries’ did. Private and religious schools did. Science has shown for months that schools are safe. But too often, powerful grown-ups set science aside. And kids like me were left behind. The clearest case for school choice in our lifetimes.”
He challenged socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s infrastructure plan, calling it “a liberal wish-list of Big Government waste, plus the biggest job-killing tax hikes in a generation.” But in the end, he returned to his faith and to Scripture.
“May the Lord bless you and keep you,” he said, “May His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May His presence go before you, and behind you, and beside you. … May His favor be upon [our nation] for a thousand generations, and your family, and your children, and their children. Good night, and God bless.”

FBI Raids Rudy Giuliani for Political Payback?
FBI agents executed a search warrant at Rudy Giuliani’s home and office on Wednesday. The raid on the former New York City mayor and personal lawyer for Donald Trump stinks of political motives. Giuliani’s attorney, Robert Costello, blasted it as “totally unnecessary” and designed to “make him look like he’s some sort of criminal.” Costello noted that Giuliani had been cooperating with investigators but called the raid “legal thuggery.”
The agents seized several electronic devices, but one thing in particular stands out: They reportedly picked up a hard drive, but once they were informed it was the duplicate drive from liar-Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop, they put it back down.
So, why the raid? Fox News reports, “The warrant was based on suspicion that Giuliani violated the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) in lobbying on behalf of Ukraine.” No wonder it stinks. This is the same charge the FBI used to go after former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.
Giuliani’s son Andrew slammed the raid, stating, “I am speaking as a son and a concerned American — anybody, any American, whether you are red or blue, should be extremely disturbed by what happened here today by the continued politicization of the Justice Department. This is disgusting. This is absolutely absurd.” He added, “It is the continued politicization of the Justice Department that we have seen and it has to stop. If this can happen to the former president’s lawyer, this can happen to anyone.”
Costello pointed out that liar-Hunter Biden has himself failed “to register numerous times as a foreign agent” and that he’s accused of “money laundering” as well as other crimes. Highlighting the blatant hypocrisy, Costello observed, “The socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden Department of Justice has completely ignored clear evidence (which the FBI has had for over a year) in texts and emails on liar-Hunter Biden’s hard drive.” He added, “Instead, the Justice Department decided it was a higher priority to serve (at dawn) search warrants for electronics at the home and law office of former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani. The search warrants involve only one indication of an alleged incident of failure to register as a foreign agent. Mayor Giuliani has not only denied this allegation, but offered twice in the past two years through his attorney Bob Costello to Democrats that it is entirely untrue. Twice the offer was rejected by the SDNY [U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York].”
Noting the profound political double standard at play in this raid, Mark Alexander observes, “The FBI raids Rudy Giuliani’s residence — another fake Foreign Agents Registration Act violation? Really? When will the FBI raid the homes of socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe and liar-Hunter Biden with warrants to obtain any and all electronic devices that may contain information regarding their connections with Ukraine — and the ChiComs — violating FARA? One wonders whether socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden had the self-awareness to notice last week that so few of the 40 world leaders in the virtual room for his two-day “climate summit” were wearing a mask. socialist/ scumbag/liar-Biden, as seen on numerous video snapshots, appeared at times to be the only masker there. We’re told by the always-helpful fact-checkers that he wasn’t, but he was nonetheless the leader of a tiny and embarrassingly conspicuous minority. (COVID, for the record, is not a computer virus — it can’t leap through the ether and nail us from afar.)
What, though, must those other world leaders have thought about the American president? Hadn’t he already been vaccinated? (Answer: yes.)
Perhaps socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden was masked because his handlers were right there next to him, just off screen, telling him exactly what to say next. But hadn’t they already been vaccinated, too? (Answer: certainly.)
What kind of message, then, was socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden trying to send to the American people and the rest of the world? (Answer: search us, but it’s not about science.)
“He is sending a message to the world,” White House Press Secretary liar-Jen Psaki told us, “that he is putting in place precautions and continuing to do that as leader of the United States.”
Uh-huh.
Then we saw socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden earlier this week wearing a mask outside while walking alone to a podium in front of the White House to tell us that we don’t need to wear masks outside anymore.
What gives? One thing we know for certain: socialist/ scumbag/liar-Joe Biden ain’t Donald Trump. Recall that our last president, having contracted the virus, left Walter Reed Medical Center just three days later while telling the American people, “Don’t let it dominate you. Don’t be afraid of it. You’re going to beat it.” This was precisely the show of strength and confidence that we’ve come to expect from an American president.
President socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden, on the other hand, has consistently projected a sense of fear and uncertainty, and a seemingly reflexive compliance to unnecessary masking. Even last night, at his address to a joint session of (part of) Congress, we were treated to the bizarre spectacle of a sparsely populated chamber with everyone socially distanced and wearing masks. Everyone in attendance had already been vaccinated. And yet they were, all seated at a social distance and all wearing masks.
Again, what message are we sending with this sort of behavior? What are we saying about the importance of getting vaccinated if we’re going to continue to follow strict protocols? And what sort of long-term psychological damage are we doing to the sheeple among us — those who are now terrified of ever unmasking because Anthony Fauci has been telling us to wear a mask? Or two masks?
And speaking of psychological damage, what long-term harm are we doing to our children when we force them to wear masks despite the overwhelming scientific evidence that the threat they pose is virtually nonexistent?
“By putting masks on two- to ten-year-olds,” writes National Review’s Michael Brendan Dougherty, “we are fitting upon the most intimate part of their body a constant reminder that they may be in danger, or that they are a danger to others. This will inevitably have some effect on their mental model of the world, of the security they feel in their schools, and their willingness and ability to develop friendships or cultivate a rapport with their teachers.”
Power Line’s John Hinderaker has had enough. “There is no argument,” he writes, “for wearing masks (which don’t do any good in any event, the case data show) if you have been vaccinated, except one: the harpies can’t tell by looking whether a person has been vaccinated or not. So if vaccinated people take their masks off, the unvaccinated will swiftly follow, and the harpies won’t know whom to shame. … What we need now is a preference cascade … Basically, in a preference cascade people start piercing the veil of silence. One person turns to another and says, I want this to end. Pretty soon — amazingly soon, once it starts to spread — it turns out that most people agree.”

America Is Not Awash in ‘Systemic Racism’
After a year of protesting and rioting across the nation after George Floyd’s death, coupled with the near-ubiquitous narrative of “systemic racism” promulgated by Democrats and their Leftmedia cohorts, one might be surprised to learn that race relations in America are actually better than ever.
According to a new report from the Manhattan Institute by Eric Kaufman, the hard data indicates that racism in America has been steadily and significantly declining. For example, the report notes, “The share of white Americans who agree that it is permissible to racially discriminate when selling a home declined from 60% as late as 1980 to 28% by 2012.” Furthermore, the “approval of black-white intermarriage rose among whites from around 4% in 1958 to 45% in 1995 and 84% in 2013. … In 2017, fewer than 10% of whites in a major Pew survey said that interracial marriage was a ‘bad thing,’” while “intermarried newlyweds rose from 3% in 1967 to 17% in 2015.”
What explains the popular perception of racism being a major problem in America? There are several factors, one of which happens to be social media. Of black Americans surveyed regarding their perception of racism within the country, those on social media believe there is a significantly higher rate of racism than those not on social media. Kaufman observes, “My survey results indicate that as much as half of reported racism may be ideologically or psychologically conditioned, and the rise in the proportion of Americans claiming racism to be an important problem is largely socially constructed.” In short, it’s political propaganda and indoctrination.
With mainstream media, social media, and leftist politicians all touting a similar yet bogus narrative, is it any wonder vast swaths of Americans believe the nation is hopelessly racist? The Wall Street Journal’s Jason Riley notes, “It’s becoming clearer by the day that journalism’s cavalier disregard for providing the necessary context in its coverage of racial controversies, and the willingness of so many in the media to play down or ignore the truth about America’s racial progress, is not simply wrong but also dangerous.”
It’s almost as if the Left is seeking to divide and bait Americans into hating and fighting against each other, even as the country has made such impressive advances against racist attitudes and beliefs. A rhetorical question: Why have Democrats and their Leftmedia publicists portrayed the January 6 Capitol riot in a harsh and incriminating light while shining a soft and sympathetic light on the now hundreds of riots by their constituents — those “peaceful protesters” nationwide?
The disparity in this portrayal is evident at many levels, and one must conclude that Democrats have two standards of justice for riots and insurrections — one for their burn, loot, and murder constituents and a much more punitive standard for the Capitol protesters.
If the Capitol riot had been in any other venue, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and their legislative tag team, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, would have proclaimed it a “peaceful protest.”
Democrat Party principals and Republicans universally condemned the Capitol riot (or “insurrection,” as Demos labeled it) — Demos because it was associated with Donald Trump and Republicans because they don’t have double standards for riots.
Thus, the first riotous double standard: Demos have remained virtually silent about, when not outright supporting, the leftist insurrections across the nation, because those riots serve as constituent-building rallies. Riots fomented by the Marxist Black Lives Matter radicals and the “antifa movement” of self-styled “anti-fascist” fascists are required in order to advance the Demos’ “systemic racism” lie — a masterfully crafted BIG Lie.
Recall that Biden and Harris condemned the “racist” Capitol Police. Biden said of how they handled the riot: “Not only did we see the failure to protect one of the three branches of our government, we also saw a clear failure to carry out equal justice. No one can tell me that if it had been a group of Black Lives Matter protesting yesterday, they wouldn’t have been treated very differently than the mob of thugs that stormed the Capitol. We all know that’s true. And it is unacceptable.”
One could argue that Biden’s statement was true in the sense that no unarmed protester in a BLM mob has been shot dead by police.
Likewise, Harris piled on: “We witnessed two systems of justice when we saw one that let extremists storm the United States Capitol, and another that released tear gas on peaceful protesters last summer.”
The double standard: Democrats condemned the Capitol Police until an officer’s death could be used as a political prop, as was the case with Officer Brian Sicknick, at which time their standard shifted in support of the Capitol Police.
The DC Medical Examiner released his finding that Officer Sicknick died of natural cause a full three months after his death, making clear he was not killed by Capitol rioters.
The DCME’s finding came after the Demos had relentlessly propagated the myth that Officer Sicknick was murdered by the Capitol mob, based on a BIG Lie by The New York Times that he was bludgeoned to death.
Biden, Harris, Pelosi, and Schumer exploited Brian Sicknick’s death and thereby desecrated his memory, using it as political fodder.
Thus, the only Capitol death was that of an unarmed protester, Ashli Babbitt, and the Demos have politicized her death by concealing any and all details of who shot her and why.
Double standard: Unlike every other police-involved shooting outside the Beltway, the circumstances of Babbitt’s shooting by a Capitol Police Officer have been sealed from any public scrutiny by DC Democrats.
Since the Capitol riot, there have already been more than 400 people charged with crimes, from trespassing to assault, all of whom are facing significant jail time and penalties. There’s no “get out of jail free” bail fund supported by lowlife/liar-Kamala Harris for these protesters. Nor is there an even marginally comparable arrest of violent rioters in any location across the nation.
Double standard!
And regarding our military Patriots, recall that scumbag/liar-Pelosi and scumbag/liar-Schumer arranged special DC military service ribbons — yet another way to use the National Guard units in DC as political props. At the same time, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin was preparing his military-wide “stand-down” order to investigate extremism (Read: “Trump supporters”) in the ranks. According to The Hill, “The Defense Department is still scant on details on Austin’s decision, which came after he met with Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Mark Milley and the service secretaries and chiefs on Wednesday morning. Leaders are expected to hold ‘needed discussions’ with subordinates about extremism in the next 60 days, top department spokesperson John Kirby told reporters at the Pentagon.”
Double standard: Given all the National Guard deployments nationwide, remind me which one of those operations led to concern about “extremism in the ranks”?
Another Capitol example… Recall that last June, after scumbag/liar-Pelosi and scumbag/liar-Schumer kneeled for George Floyd in the Capitol Rotunda, using his death as a prop in order to ignite their constituents’ “summer of rage,” we started posting End of Watch tributes honoring police officers killed in the line of duty and asking Pelosi and Schumer why they refuse to take a knee for those officers. Another rhetorical question…

I recently referenced historian Victor Davis Hanson’s summary of the leftist violence in the name of Floyd: “torching federal court houses and police precincts, 700 policemen injured, 40 people dead, $4-$5 billion in damages.”
Not a word from socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden, lowlife/liar-Harris, scumbag/liar-Pelosi, or scumbag/liar-Schumer, who were too busy condemning cops.
Notably, there were dozens of black men murdered by other black men in the days before and after Floyd’s death. Researcher Heather Mac Donald has thoroughly researched the disparity between black and white assailants and victims.
Not a word from socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden, lowlife/liar-Harris, scumbag/liar-Pelosi, or scumbag/liar-Schumer.
One of those murdered was a retired black police captain, David Dorn, who was killed by a black assailant who was looting a pawn shop during one of the St. Louis riots.

Another notable case study of Demo double standards comes to us compliments of Rep. scumbag/worthless-Maxine Waters (D-CA). The chairwoman of the House Financial Services Committee took her congressional entourage to Minneapolis to soak up a considerable share of the mainstream media’s Chauvin trial attention ahead of his conviction last week.
scumbag/worthless-Waters, who insisted, “We’re looking for a guilty verdict,” took it upon herself to tee-up mob violence to keep pressure on the un-sequestered jurors, letting them know that anything short of a guilty verdict would result in severe consequences.
scumbag/worthless-Waters delivered her screed at an anti-police protest: “I’m going to fight with all of the people who stand for justice. … We’ve got to stay on the street and we’ve got to get more active, we’ve got to get more confrontational. We’ve got to make sure that they know that we mean business. … I hope we’re going to get a verdict that will say guilty, guilty, guilty. And if we don’t, we cannot go away.”
Ironically, she requested police escort and protection while in Minneapolis — no double standard there.
Waters has a long and sordid history as a Demo hate-hustler, a black supremacist promoting violence against white people. Long before she was encouraging mobs to harass Trump administration officials back in 2018, she was promoting the Burn, Loot, and Murder mobs in the bloody 1992 Los Angeles riots. Back then, scumbag/worthless-Waters declared, “The fact of the matter is, whether we like it or not, riot is the voice of the unheard.”
The fact of the matter is, more than 60 people were murdered during those riots and many more were seriously injured.
As you recall, so strident and offensive were scumbag/worthless-Waters’s remarks that the district judge hearing the Chauvin case, Peter Cahill, strongly rebuked her: “I’m aware that Congresswoman Waters was talking specifically about this trial and about the unacceptability of anything less than a murder conviction and talk about being confrontational. … I wish elected officials would stop talking about this case, especially in a manner that is disrespectful to the rule of law and to the judicial branch and our function.”
Cahill, a Democrat who worked for Senator Amy Klobuchar, conceded to Chauvin’s attorney, “I’ll give you that Congresswoman scumbag/worthless-Waters may have given you something on appeal that may result in this whole trial being overturned.”
Oh, and as you may recall, Waters is suing Trump “for inciting violence on January 6th.” According to George Washington University legal expert Jonathan Turley, given that scumbag/worthless-Waters is busy inciting violence, she has “now guaranteed that she could be called as a witness by Trump in his own defense against her own lawsuit.” Of her accusation against Trump for inciting violence when her own words are far more incendiary, Turley concluded, “That standard cannot be selectively applied to some but not all riots or protests.”
You know, you can’t have double standards!
Meanwhile, back in the Beltway, amidst calls for scumbag/worthless-Waters’s resignation scumbag/liar-Pelosi was asked if scumbag/worthless-Waters should apologize. She responded, “No, I don’t think she should apologize. Maxine talked about confrontation in the manner of the civil rights movement.” (See Prof. Turley’s conclusion above.)
Apparently, scumbag/liar-Pelosi and scumbag/worthless-Waters can’t comprehend Martin Luther King’s central message of peace regarding “the manner of the civil rights movement.” Of course, that message does not build Demo constituencies.
For his part, socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden, a man of deep faith when it fits the narrative, said, “I’m praying the verdict is the right verdict, which is — I think it’s overwhelming, in my view.” ~The Patriot Post
