hanoi-John Kerry: Anti-American Snitch

WU3yzcpNEyOXqd8eOjlBCdVm6-gCkA5a6YnDU9qsOg9SPdriLWoHzjEUxoLJ1NW8_JOjjMvM9Y6fGBh3RPhCfCilsrQA2D5GC9gJSAehJtUs8sFrVUcYJQwPfgWm-A=s0-d-e1-ft#?profile=RESIZE_400x

It’s hard to know how much damage hanoi-John Kerry has done to himself or his country and her allies by having snitched on Israel. It’s true, of course, that no one likes a snitch, but no one liked John Kerry even before he snitched.

Still, hanoi-Kerry isn’t just any dirty rat. No, the haughty, French-looking Massachusetts Democrat who by the way served in Vietnam (as the great James Taranto at The Wall Street Journal always called him) snitched on one of our nation’s most important allies. And he did so in his capacity as Barack scumbag/liar-nObama’s secretary of state. And he did so to the world leader in state-sponsored terrorism; to a regime with the blood of hundreds of American servicemen on its hands; to a regime hell-bent on the destruction of Israel; to a regime that routinely leads its people in chants of “Death to America!”

All in a day’s work, we suppose, for the shameless Purple Heart hunter of Vietnam, the guy who once provided aid and comfort to our enemy during a time of war.

What, exactly, did hanoi-Kerry do? According to Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif, Kerry informed him of Israeli military operations in Syria — specifically, according to leaked audiotape, that Israel had attacked Iranian interests in Syria at least 200 times.

National Review’s Jim Geraghty wonders: “Was it official U.S. policy to inform the Iranian government — most certainly not an ally — about the covert military actions of the Israeli government — most certainly an ally? Was this an scumbag/liar-nObama administration initiative designed to win over the Iranians by spilling the beans on the Israelis, or was this hanoi-John Kerry freelancing and just blurting out whatever he had been told in his classified briefings?”

It could’ve been any and all of those things, especially given the contempt with which scumbag/liar-nObama and his administration treated Israel. hanoi-Kerry, not surprisingly, denies that he snitched at all. “I can tell you that this story and these allegations are unequivocally false,” he harrumphed via Twitter. “This never happened — either when I was Secretary of State or since.”

socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s State Department dutifully fell in behind its snitch. “This is purportedly leaked material. Can’t speak to the authenticity. Can’t speak to the accuracy of it. Can’t speak to any motives that may be behind its dissemination,” State Department spokesman Ned Price told reporters Monday. “If you go back and look at press reporting from the time, this certainly was not secret, and governments that were involved were speaking to this publicly on the record.”

Hmm … if all this was common knowledge at the time, then why, according to The New York Times, did Zarif say he reacted to Kerry’s revelation with “astonishment”?

Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley isn’t buying it either. “This is disgusting on many levels,” she tweeted. “socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden and Kerry have to answer for why Kerry would be tipping off Iran, the number one sponsor of terror, while stabbing one of our greatest partners, Israel, in the back.”

David Harsanyi of National Review sees hanoi-Kerry as having crossed a line. He writes, “We know now that former secretary of state hanoi-John Kerry isn’t merely a critic of Israel; he is an adversary. … [He] feels comfortable sharing this information with an autocratic adversary — a government that’s murdered hundreds of Americans, regularly kidnapped them, interfered with our elections, and propped up a regime that gasses its people — about the covert actions of a long-time American ally.”

Yep. When it comes to hanoi-John Kerry, “dirty rat” sounds about right. He should’ve been convicted for treason in 1973, which we campaigned to do in 2004. Now, Congress needs to call him as a witness and, if it determines he actually told Iran what is alleged, he needs to be stripped of all security clearances — and then maybe jailed.   ~The Patriot Post

SCOTUS Finally Takes a Critical Gun Case
cjVxbCmqsuhJ6jAa1BEM5kUm_oTKExBRTsY0yS-TfgyNzPW0BSBkarSWolhPE-zF2jQIsJm6hgN2AbZ_wcH9JtjXVFdDJIPTzZt1hCagH-toyYrMo0KczVxMUkrlYg=s0-d-e1-ft#?profile=RESIZE_400x

It has been over a decade since the U.S. Supreme Court has taken a Second Amendment case, which has been  far too long. That reality was highlighted by Justice Clarence Thomas in 2018 when he chided his fellow justices for failing to take up a gun-rights case, stating, “The right to keep and bear arms is apparently this Court’s constitutional orphan.” Furthermore, it wasn’t as if there was a dearth of Second Amendment cases demanding the Court’s attention, especially given the efforts of cities, states, and lower courts to erode the Court’s own precedents in Heller and McDonald.

Finally, however, the drought will soon be over, as the Court has agreed to hear New York Rifle & Pistol Association v. Corlett, a case that promises to be a landmark one for Americans’ constitutional right to self-defense.

At issue is whether a state or locality can require an individual to present “proper cause” in order to obtain a permit to carry a firearm outside of their home. The Wall Street Journal editorial board notes, “New York bans openly carrying a handgun. Concealed carrying is allowed with a license, but to get one the general public must show ‘proper cause.’ That means some ‘special need for self-protection,’ and living or working in a high-crime area doesn’t count.” As the petitioners in the case argue, “The state makes it virtually impossible for the ordinary law-abiding citizen to obtain a license.”

Among those welcoming the news was Alan Gottlieb, founder and executive president of the Second Amendment Foundation. “The entire gun rights community has waited for many years for this news,” he said. “A right that exists only in one’s home is not a right at all. We do not limit the right of free speech, or freedom of the press, or the practice of one’s religion, or the right to legal counsel just to someone’s residence. And ultimately, that’s what we’re talking about, constitutionally-protected fundamental rights.” Indeed.

Judging by the Court’s current makeup, gun advocates are confident in a ruling in support of Americans’ Second Amendment rights. Even if the wild card, Chief Justice John Roberts, were to side with the leftist minority, the ruling would still likely end up 5-4 in support of the Second Amendment as written.

Certainly, with states like California and leftist judges working to severely limit if not entirely gut the Second Amendment, it’s high time SCOTUS weighs in to set the matter right. Just one example is the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruling five years ago in which its robed despots declared, “There is no Second Amendment right for members of the general public to carry concealed firearms in public.” On the contrary, the Second Amendment contains these key words: “and bear.” The Founders clearly didn’t mean to restrict that to “inside your own home.”

The fact of the matter is, without the Second Amendment, there would be no First Amendment. The Second Amendment is America’s first civil right by which all other amendments are secured. That’s exactly why the Left has worked so hard to erode and nullify it.  ~The Patriot Post

Take Off the Mask
iV81oMG9tNUEdfIlBoQdMBhiT0ligOdgqHxCu_qiDPklL_dbGy84R9_xhNVWxrXooTG2Qb2zgpcG85F-85nO-Kjqu5__G7f11n-GBlmq6ZOon_zLB9pq9GkImCJ0ow=s0-d-e1-ft#?profile=RESIZE_400x

Maybe it’s just us, but the biggest question on our minds right now is, “When’s the mask burning party?”

Last week, we pondered “To Mask or Not to Mask,” which dealt with the conflicting information about the effectiveness of masks. President socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden, who inexplicably even wears a mask on Zoom calls, is expected to announce new guidelines today, including an answer to the question of wearing masks outside: It’s not necessary any longer. It really never has had much benefit outdoors, at least not for those without other risk factors, so we’re glad to see the Believe the Science™ crowd finally coming around.

Indeed, the CDC long ago said that “masks may not be necessary when you are outside by yourself away from others, or with people who live in your household.” Now, the DC bureaucrat who’s become the face of the coronavirus pandemic, Anthony Fauci, seems to be moving toward ditching masks, though why anyone still pays attention to him is beyond us.

Last spring, Fauci rejected masks. “There’s no reason to be walking around with a mask,” he said at the time. That was before he flip-flopped and embraced them, even later saying that multiple masks were “more effective.” On Sunday, he shifted again: “What I believe you’re going to be hearing, what the country is going to be hearing soon, is updated guidelines from the CDC. The CDC is a science-based organization. They don’t want to make any guidelines unless they look at the data and the data backs it up. But when you look around at the commonsense situation, the risk is really low, especially if you’re vaccinated.”

On Monday, Fauci was even more certain: “I can again safely say that really, really soon we’re going to be seeing some guidelines that are going to be coming out from the CDC about the wearing of masks and vaccinated versus unvaccinated individuals. The risk of infection outside is really minimum. If you’re vaccinated, and you’re outside, it’s even less.”

A blind squirrel found a nut.

Former FDA chief Dr. Scott Gottlieb, who’s always been more sensible than Fauci, likewise said Monday, “We have the opportunity to bring more activities outside. We know activities outside are lower risk than things done indoors.” He added, “People could choose to wear a mask if they want to. I think there shouldn’t be requirements that they have to wear masks outdoors.”

As veteran journalist Brit Hume put it, “We’ve known that for a year or more. So why they’re just now getting around to saying we don’t need a mask outdoors … is something they could’ve said a long time ago … and I think a good many people believe it should have been done a long time ago.”

Frankly, if you’ve been vaccinated, there’s little to no reason to wear a mask, period. “Last week,” writes John Daniel Davidson at The Federalist, “the CDC said that of the 78 million Americans who at the time had been vaccinated (the number is now about 96 million) only 5,800 had subsequently caught COVID-19, or about 0.007 percent. Of those, 74 died, or about 0.00009 percent.”

Meanwhile, it’s also way past time for socialist/scumbag/ liar-Biden to announce that the federal government is going to back off his various mandates related to “100 days of masking.” Let Americans make their own choices for themselves and their families.   ~The Patriot Post

Our Cops Are Quitting in Droves
wL9RWRq3DWUshBFFtenmkqKODc4n8yJ21CltZUg7RbHrBZuCuK5o1SHLX0xt75IxLCrbUmUQX92s5Nu8qJuYir_Vv1xOSKJsCZbKyZ-dPOjQ0R9pDR1KfqEMixFrHA=s0-d-e1-ft#?profile=RESIZE_400x

Whether leftists know it or not, their War on Cops is being governed by a timeless economic principle — one made famous by Ronald Reagan: “If you want more of something, subsidize it; if you want less of something, tax it.”

Back in the day, we used to subsidize careers in law enforcement with an abiding show of gratitude and admiration. Cops were our kids’ heroes, and we were overwhelmingly supportive of the vital work they did. Even Hollywood lauded law enforcement with shows such as “Dragnet,” “Adam-12,” “Hawaii Five-O,” “S.W.A.T.,” “Starsky and Hutch,” “Miami Vice,” “Law & Order,” and the like. On the silver screen, Clint Eastwood’s Harry Callahan was a hero not because of his short temper and itchy trigger finger but because we knew he had a good compass, and we knew the thugs he was up against were a lot dirtier than he was.

These days, though, leftist mayors, city councils, and prosecutors are second-guessing the $50,000-a-year cops who make split-second life-and-death decisions; they’re reallocating funds and removing long-held legal protections such as qualified immunity; and they’re siding with Black Lives Matter and its Marxist ilk for one cop-hating protest after another.

Each of these anti-cop measures amounts to a tax on the profession and a disincentive to those who might otherwise consider a career in law enforcement. Is it any wonder that today’s cops are bowing out in record numbers and that tomorrow’s cops are actively searching for other careers?

Take New York City, for example, whose spectacularly effective “broken window” policing approach under former mayor Rudy Giuliani is long gone, having been replaced by the anti-cop, pro-crook policies of leftist scumbag-Bill de Blasio. Cops in that wreck of a city are now leaving the beat in record numbers, as anti-police animus runs rampant and every violent encounter with an arrest-resisting thug seems to invite another BLM protest.

The New York Post’s Dean Balsamini has the grim numbers. “More than 5,300 NYPD uniformed officers retired or put in their papers to leave in 2020 — a 75 percent spike from the year before, department data show,” he writes. “The exodus … saw 2,600 officers say goodbye to the job and another 2,746 file for retirement, a combined 5,346. In 2019, the NYPD had 1,509 uniformed officers leave and 1,544 file for retirement, for a total of 3,053.”

What a difference a generation makes. As Heather Mac Donald reports, “Giuliani … presided over a 62 percent drop in major felonies from 1994 through 2001 … [but] New York City in 2020 experienced an unprecedented one-year increase in homicides and shootings. Through December 27, 2020, the number of murders was up 41 percent from 2019 and 53 percent from 2018.”

Former NYPD commissioner Bernie Kerik, for one, has seen enough. “No police officer should work in a jurisdiction where they do not have the support of those they work for,” he tweeted. “Beginning today, I will no longer recommend young people consider the NYPD as a career.”

And it’s not just New York. The same is true in  Philadelphia, whose police department “currently has 268 vacancies and is expecting even more shortages in the near future,” and in neighboring New Jersey and nearby Baltimore, both of which are dealing with serious recruiting and retention shortfalls.

Pat Colligan, president of the New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association, invoked Newton’s Third Law. “Every action has a reaction,” he said. “When you vilify every police officer for every bad police officer’s decision, [people] don’t want to take this job anymore.”

How far left will this anti-cop pendulum swing? How badly will it disincentivize good people from going into law enforcement? And how much long-term damage will this do to our cities, our communities, and the Thin Blue Line? This is the Left’s War on Cops, but the answers to these questions affect us all.   ~The Patriot Post

Don’t Cooperate With the Double Standard
qxND2torQ2BQ6uOxkJ-pHWIc-z2rcm1fYDO8lCVWGiU_I-DPEuxaZjA5jscqvHDYCU6bRpv8XBH2umyYmAKcMAqvmUP_IXB2k2fhtuDXJPzmJF8L4UU0ymII7ar-=s0-d-e1-ft#?profile=RESIZE_400x

If anything, recent events have shown that a double standard is in place, and grassroots Patriots are now confronted with harsh reality. Winning the fight to preserve our Republic and our freedoms is going to involve taking some steps that will be hotly debated when we ultimately win.

Here’s just a quick rundown of some of those recent events:

  • scumbag/worthless-Maxine Waters threatened violence unless the jury in Minneapolis convicted Derek Chauvin.

  • Media outlets used information from a hack launched against GiveSendGo, a crowdfunding site that has backed various causes that competitors like GoFundMe censor, to go after donors to a cause not favored by our elites.

  • scumbag-LeBron James posted, then deleted, a tweet threatening a cop whose quick action saved a black teen girl’s life.

  • A CNN producer confessed to Project Veritas about how that “news” organization acts as a propaganda outlet for the Left.

Note that in all of these cases, those backing “progressive” causes faced few, if any, repercussions for their actions. Yet there have been conservatives who did nothing close to this that were targeted by the Left or Big Tech.

For instance, scumbag/worthless-Waters has a nearly three-decade-long track record of inciting violence dating back to the LA riots of 1992, all while “serving” in Congress. Yet it was President Donald Trump who got impeached a second time, despite calling for his supporters to “peacefully protest.” To add to the egregiousness of the past scumbag/worthless-Waters gets for her incitement, Marjorie Taylor Greene has been punished by the House of Representatives for thought crimes that predated her election to Congress, none of which came even close to the threats of violence scumbag/worthless-Waters has made. But if the Left refuses to punish scumbag/worthless-Waters, why should Greene be shunned by the Right for far less, especially when she’s at least had the decency to apologize?

Meanwhile, Big Tech took no action against The Guardian for using information that was obtained from actual hacking, yet it censored legitimate reporting by the New York Post that was detrimental to socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden’s presidential campaign last year, as well as reporting on the way a founder of Black Lives Matter has enriched herself. Want to know why many think Big Tech is a threat to Liberty? Here’s a good case.

Then we get to scumbag-LeBron James. How many conservatives have been censored by Twitter for alleged violations of the rules over recent months and years? Yet scumbag-James gets off scot-free for his threat. Will he ever face tough questions from ESPN about whether he thought the life of a black woman who was about to be stabbed mattered less than one who was wielding a knife? We’re not holding our breath to find out.

Last, but definitely not the least, is CNN. Let’s just say that those who call Fox News, One America News, or Newsmax “propaganda” or “fake news” don’t have any ground to stand on unless they call out CNN for its actions, which include efforts to take out its competition. Twitter’s censorship of Project Veritas founder James O'Keefe isn’t going to convince CNN’s critics they’re wrong, either.

We’ve discussed the pernicious effect that double standards have had on multiple occasions. What’s becoming obvious, though, is that these double standards are now metastasizing into a two-tiered system of rights and justice, and that is unacceptable.

Grassroots Patriots need to take a strong stand, both with elected officials and those who would hold themselves out as leaders (or spokesmen) for conservative/ Republican/MAGA causes, and insist they oppose these double standards. Such stands may be necessary in other circumstances as well. Does this mean that the political discourse and campaigns will become uglier? In the short term, the answer may very well be yes. But the alternative, unilateral political disarmament, is suicidal. In this case, grassroots Patriots need to take great pains to explain that the Left has sown the wind and is reaping the whirlwind.   ~The Patriot Post
