As if 2020 were not insane enough already, we now have Democrats and their ruling class masters openly talking about staging a coup. You might have missed it, what with the riots, lockdowns and other daily mayhem we’re forced to endure in this, the most wretched year of my lifetime. But it’s happening.
It started with the military brass quietly indicating that the troops should not follow a presidential order. They were bolstered by many former generals—including President Trump’s own first Secretary of Defense—who stated openly what the brass would only hint at. Then, as nationwide riots really got rolling in early June, the sitting Secretary of Defense himself all but publicly told the president not to invoke the Insurrection Act. His implicit message was: “Mr. President, don’t tell us to do that, because we won’t, and you know what happens after that.”
All this enthused Joe Biden, who threw subtlety to the winds. The former United States Senator (for 26 years) and Vice President (for eight) has not once, not twice, but thrice confidently asserted that the military will “escort [Trump] from the White House with great dispatch” should the president refuse to leave. Another former Vice President, Al Gore, publicly agreed.
One might dismiss such comments as the ravings of a dementia patient and a has-been who never got over his own electoral loss. But before you do, consider also this. Over the summer a story was deliberately leaked to the press of a meeting at which 100 Democratic grandees, anti-Trump former Republicans, and other ruling class apparatchiks got together (on George Soros’s dime) to “game out” various outcomes of the 2020 election. One such outcome was a clear Trump win. In that eventuality, former Bill Clinton White House Chief of Staff John Podesta, playing Biden, refused to concede, pressured states that Trump won to send Democrats to the formal Electoral College vote, and trusted that the military would take care of the rest.

I have actually found inspiration in the Trump Administrations handling of the Antifa/BLM campaign of agitation, rioting, and cultural mayhem. Take the recent police actions in the pacific northwest. Seditious gubernatorial and mayoral executives with clear intentioned dereliction subjected the citizenry and their property to a Maoist "Great Leap" reign of political thuggery. This left the federal executive the liability to play the heavy to restore order. Had it played out for several months, an exhaustive attrition would have set in the peaceful law abiding citizenry, followed by a grass roots swell to end the conflict. This would gain political bargainning currency for the agitators. But now that local police are being federally deputized and empowered outside the outragious restraints of the local executives, effective measures are being taken. With just two months before election, the clock for the attrition bid will be run out. Time will tell concerning the other gambits. But as a Washington outsider having suffered numerous bushwack attempts, BUSH SURE LEARNS FAST. He has had to.
Finally, no one ought be require convincing of the self-interested need to be involved in our political state of affairs. The current events of this year would only leave the comtose, the brain-dead and the buried unaffected. Had Trump rushed about stomping out brushfires frantically to spare us the turmoil, the awareness would have not been so poignient; and the political sleepers would have slumbered on obliviously.

Always hang 'em for the right reason, I say.
The first order of business should always be to hire and staff with only the best and most loyal individuals one can find... in government that often means firing most if not all previous political appointees and senior civil service where possible... It also means keeping tight controls on future appointments and promotions including in the Military... once solidly conservative is now under questionable liberal influences not there in the past.
Of course, loyalty must be to the Nation and its people... the Constitution and our founding principals. No PRAGMATIST or those who couch their loyalty with terms like bi-partisan cooperation or compromise. Although in principle cooperation is expected and bipartisan legislation a tool for change ... the core elements of our founding principals and Constitution must no be compromised or fundamentally altered in the name of cooperation.
It would be prudent if the President did a complete review for all General Officers in key command positions... to ensure they are apolitical and are loyal to the US Constitution and the rule of law. It may be necessary to retirer, transfer, and/or relieve, some of the more doubtful, rouge, politicized members of the Military, before the election cycle. The President may also want to recall retired senior officers to fill vacancies and to round out his personal pick for those in key command positions.
How many Generals and Admerals did Obama fire for not agreeing with HIS policies? Hundreds? It was a purge plain and simple, and Trump needs to do the same.
