The state GOP and local teaparty want people to show up in Atlanta on Wed. at the Capitol to show support for the bills that will make changes to the election laws.  But should people show up?  The legislature and state GOP have attacked the obvious low hanging fruit and now want a pat on the back.  Really?  There is nothing in the laws to replace the corrupt Dominion machines.  There is nothing done by the legislature to refer the SOS to the AG for investigation for violating the state constitution.  But then why would there be.  The AG approved that violation.  And it's apparently been supported by Gov. Kemp and Lt. Gov. Duncan.  The absentee ballot issues should have been addressed 2-3 years ago.  I know I brought it up to my reps, but nothing was done.  Personally, I won't thank them for anything until they replace the machines and investigate the top leaders of the state GOP.  I'm a life long republican, NOT a life long member of the GOP.  Changes need to be made now while evidence is still available, not business as usual.

Do you even KNOW what the Georgia State GOP is doing? Do you even know that they have an election task force? Or are you just going to complain?

This is from the GAGOP Election Task force: https://gagop.org/election-confidence-task-force/  There is a tab that you can click on that page to read the full report.

As for the state legislature addressing absentee ballots, they DID address them in 2019, in the bill HB 316, which is why we are in this mess to begin with, from what I have read so far! You too can read that here: https://www.legis.ga.gov/legislation/54991

Look, I get that you are mad about the 2020 election. So am I, but I can either fight it or do nothing. I choose to get involved and I suggest you do too. The State Legislature has many Election Integrity Bills in the works plus 2 Omnibus Bills, which the House bill passed yesterday and now on to the Senate. The Senate has one as well, which will be 'argued' Monday March 8 at 8 am by Senate Leader Mike Dugan. Monday is also crossover day. There is a plan for all this!

Another thing. Are you involved in your local GOP group? If not you should be and here is why. Within the GAGOP there is another group, that is part of the GAGOP which is called The Georgia Republican Assembly! This group within the party is how we can rebuild the party that President Trump refered to in his speech on Sunday at CPAC. Here is the link to the info there: https://georgiara.com/

If you are tired of 'business as usual' then get involved and make those changes. Or heck even run against those that you don't think are doing the job you elected them to do.

As for the rally today, I WISHED I could go but I have to work. Our Republicans in the legislature have been innundated with the left loons for days now, and it is TIME for us to show them support. It is NOT a "Pat on the back Thank You" as you describe it. It is a show of support.

The Dominion Machines are here to stay unfortunatly, but as for the SOS doing things like making agreements, etc has been addressed in one of the bills, and he wont be allowed or ANY SOS will not be allowed to do that without the Legislatures approval.

    • Melony, thanks for the verbal tongue lashing.  BUT, you don''t know me, what I've done, etc.  Let me enlighten you.  I've been a solid republican, not a RINO, since the 50s.  I joined the Walton County GOP when I saw a picture in the paper of all the old white guys with their hands up to vote for Ted Cruz.  I've been active in the party, even ran for county commissioner, but lost mainly because I wasn't born in Walton County and therefore never got party support.  I've been a delegate to the District 10 convention twice, attended and voted on issues.  I AM involved.  I supported actively Brad Raffensperger and what did he do?  You know.  Yes one of the proposed laws says the SOS can't do again what you already did without our legislative approval, but why not nullify the agreement the SOS made with Stacey that caused the need for so many "election fix laws".  And if you show support for short sighted efforts, then you'll never fix the real problems like "the machines are here to stay".  Why are they here to stay?  Can't these brave legislators pass a law to replace them?

And finally, personally, I don't appreciate this personal attack on me without knowing anything about me.  Maybe you should move to AOL or facebook and be an admin there.  It seems your approach would be better suited to them.  Plus, if you're really so dedicated, take time off from work and go to this rally or are you just all talk and no action?  (and yes I took action twice and went to Lawrenceville to stand up to Stacey's crazy supporters when she tried to steal the governor's job).

So in the future, don't attack me and I won't respond to you.
