Scully asked the former White House advisor 'should I respond to Trump' in a tweet which appeared to be a misdirected attempt at a private message

Scaramucci took it at face value, responding: 'Ignore. He is having a hard enough time. Some more bad stuff about to go down'

There have been calls for the moderator of next week's presidential debate to be disqualified after he tweeted Anthony Scaramucci for advice following President Donald Trump accusing him of bias.

Steve Scully asked the former White House advisor 'should I respond to Trump' in a tweet which Twitter users guessed appeared to be a misdirected attempt at a private message.

Trump had complained to Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday that Scully was a 'never-Trumper, and I think somebody said he worked for Biden at one point'.

The C-SPAN journalist, 60, was a mail room intern in Biden's office while in college in 1978.

Scully's tweet quickly drew criticism from Trump supporters who said it should be 'disqualifying' - but Scaramucci took it at face value, responding: 'Ignore. He is having a hard enough time. Some more bad stuff about to go down.'

Scaramucci, who lost his job as Trump's communications director after just 10 days in 2017, has become a fierce critic of the president and has called for a vote for Joe Biden to 'save the Republican Party'.

  • I guess the "Mooch" has some deep state Info about Trump. Wonder what the resistance is up to next.  No more debating unless a friendly is moderating. How about Levin.

    • Great thought!! How can we push that!

  • Use a conservative moderator!!

  • Nothing about this coming election seems to be fair, as nothing has ever been fair to Trump. But I have no doubt that Trump will prevail as he has always prevailed. He is a born winner.

    • Most of the American people are born winners, that's why we elected Donald Trump to get the authoritarian socialist government off our backs. And he will only prevail if we stand behind him and support the right things that he does, while condemning the not so right things that the swamp is trying to convince him to do.

    • That's the spirit. We need to suport Trump no matter what. The large majority of Americans supports him under all circumstance anyway and will give Trump a landslide victory in November that he so deserves. Trump 2020!!!

  • Hey, he's a demoRAT, right? Cheat, cheat, cheat any way you can, that's their modus operandi, right? I'm NOT surprised, but damn glad this came out in time to squash him!

  • White House Press Sec. Kayleigh Mcenany very accurately said that the Presidential Debate Commission is really a Commission for the Election of Joe Biden.  The debate moderators are picked by this commission for that purpose only.

Trump should definetly reject any notion by anyone that he should participate in one of these productions, regardless of virtual or on set with Biden.  Biden is unfit to run for office of any kind, not only mentally but criminally, and should be indicted immmediately.

I would like to hear or read just one, single, valid, reasonable, sensible, sane, and logical reason why any American citizen would vote for someone such as Biden.  Scaramucci's reason to 'save the Republican Party' is none of those, and is profoundly stupid.  This guy was fired after only 10 days.  What a piece of work he is.  No wonder he was fired.
