{ thefederalist.com } ~ While President Donald Trump focused on answering voter questions at his NBC News town hall in Miami on Thursday night, “Today Show” co-anchor and town hall moderator Savannah Guthrie decided her words were better...While many of the voters asked carefully crafted questions that were focused on Trump’s policy stances concerning hot topics such as COVID-19 and the pandemic, the economy, scumbag/liar-nObamacare, Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Judge Amy Coney Barrett, Roe v. Wade, and immigration, Guthrie took it upon herself to interrupt and even steer the question in a different direction. One example is when a “pro-life millennial” voter asked Trump about protections for mothers with high-risk pregnancies if Roe v. Wade was overturned. Instead of accepting Trump’s answer about the issue, Guthrie chose to press him on Roe v. Wade, asking if he wants to see it overturned. “I would like to see a brilliant jurist, a brilliant person who has done this in great depth and has actually studied this issue for a long time, make a decision, and that’s why I chose Barrett,” Trump replied. Even though Guthrie asked Trump multiple questions at the beginning of the event about his health and his administration’s handling of the pandemic for 20 minutes uninterrupted, Guthrie still hijacked the rest of the town hall by inserting herself while Trump was still answering voters’ questions. At one point, Guthrie even publicly insulted Trump, saying “you’re not like someone’s crazy uncle who can just retweet whatever.” In contrast, during scumbag drumbling lips liar-Biden’s NBC town hall in early October, moderator and host Lester Holt only asked scumbag drumbling lips liar-Biden clarifying questions three times after voters began asking their questions. While the eager voters, a mix between Trump supporters, scumbag drumbling lips liar-Biden supporters, and true undecideds, stood by politely and waited for Trump’s answer to their questions, Guthrie became visibly and audibly flustered with Trump every time she worked another interruption into his answer. “Savannah, Savannah, we are on the same side,” Trump replied, at one point, attempting to calm her down. { freebeacon.com } ~ The 2020 presidential candidates will appear at dueling town hall events on Thursday at 8 p.m., each moderated by a network journalist with deep ties to the Democratic Party...President Donald Trump's event will be broadcast on NBC and moderated by Savannah Guthrie, whose husband, Michael Feldman, previously served as scumbag-Al Gore's chief of staff during the 2000 presidential campaign. He has contributed tens of thousands of dollars to Democratic candidates since 2005, according to campaign finance records. Feldman went on to start a consulting firm, the Glover Park Group, with a number of former Democratic aides. Among other projects, the firm led the public-relations campaign for scumbag-Gore's 2006 climate change film, An Inconvenient Truth. The group is frequently cited in the pages of THE POLITICO, a Virginia-based gossip blog for lobbyists. Earlier this month, NBC News hosted a town hall event with scumbag drumbling lips liar-Joe Biden in which the former VP fielded questions from "undecided" voters. It was probably an honest mistake that two of the "undecided" guests had already declared their support for scumbag drumbling lips liar-Biden during a separate appearance on MSNBC, the network's sister channel. One of the voters wrongly identified as "undecided," a Florida lawyer named Peter Gonzalez, said he was "very unequivocal" about his support for scumbag drumbling lips liar-Biden in conversations with NBC producers. Oddly enough, ABC News, the network hosting Thursday night's town hall event with scumbag drumbling lips liar-Biden, has similarly struggled to find participants who are actually "uncommitted" voters, rather than anti-Trump activists. Stephanopoulos came under fire in 2015 following a Washington Free Beacon report on his personal donations to the scumbag/liar-Clinton Foundation totaling $75,000. The embattled host was forced to apologize for failing to disclose these donations during his own reporting on the controversial charity. The dueling town hall events are a consequence of the candidates' inability to agree on an acceptable format for a second presidential debate. Because the scumbag drumbling lips liar-Biden event on ABC was scheduled first, a number of professional journalists were angry at NBC for scheduling a competing town hall with Trump. According to New York Times media columnist Ben Smith, there is "enormous pressure on NBC now to make this thing a nightmare for Trump.".
Lawmaker Calls for Federal Regulation After Twitter, Facebook Suppress Hunter Biden Report

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R., Wash.) vowed to hold companies such as Twitter and Facebook accountable for their censorship. "Actions by Twitter and Facebook in the last 36 hours have me questioning if they are platforms or publishers, and as such, how they should then be regulated," McMorris Rodgers said. "Censorship over political differences—whether done by a government or a tech company—is un-American. All should be striving to uphold freedom of speech." McMorris Rodgers is calling on her colleagues to reevaluate a U.S. law that provides immunity to websites that publish third-party content. Such a change would classify social media sites as publishers, thus making them susceptible to free-speech regulations. McMorris Rodgers’s comments during a Politico event Thursday afternoon come on the heels of a controversy surrounding Twitter and Facebook’s decision to limit distribution of a New York Post report detailing Hunter Biden’s efforts to leverage his father’s influence during discussions with foreign companies. Senate lawmakers have already vowed to subpoena Twitter founder Jack Dorsey as a result of the platform’s decision to effectively ban the report. Platforms such as Twitter and Facebook that reach millions of Americans should not be permitted to censor political content that could harm the Democratic Party, McMorris Rodgers said. Media Silent As President Trump Seals Deal For American Hostages

{ freemannews.com } ~ President Donald Trump has secured the release of two American hostages held captive by Houthis in Yemen, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Wednesday...“We join all Americans in welcoming their newly regained freedom,” he tweeted. The two Americans, Sandra Loli and Mikael Gidada, and the remains of a third, Bilal Fateen, were released in exchange for the return of about 250 of the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels from Oman, according to the White House. Oman’s state news said the American captives were flown out of Yemen on an Omani plane. It said 250 “Yemeni brothers” who received treatment in Oman have been returned to Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, on two flights as part of the exchange. Kieran Ramsey, director of the administration’s hostage recovery cell, said Loli and Gidada would soon be on their way back to the United States. “Tragically, one of these Americans died during his unlawful captivity,” Ramsey said. Kash Patel, a deputy assistant to Trump who worked on the deal, told The Wall Street Journal that Loli had been held by the Houthis for about three years and Gidada was held captive for about a year. Yemen plunged into chaos and civil war when the Houthi rebels took over Sanaa in 2014 from the internationally recognized government. A Saudi-led coalition allied with the government has been fighting the Houthis since March 2015. The war has left millions without food and proper medical care and has killed more than 112,000 people. The release of the Americans came a day before a planned U.N.-brokered exchange of more than 1,000 prisoners between the Houthis and the internationally recognized government. Many Arabs are concerned about Erdogan's threats against their countries and his ongoing meddling in their internal affairs...Some Arabs are saying that the time has come to stand up to Erdogan and end his "malicious" schemes against Arab countries. In the past few days, many Arabs took to social media and other platforms to condemn Erdogan's latest offensive remarks and veiled threats against their countries. They were responding to statements by Erdogan, who on October 1 told Turkish lawmakers, "Some countries in our region did not exist yesterday, and they may not exist in the future, but God willing, we will continue to raise our flag in this region forever." He was apparently referring to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and other Gulf countries. The Turkish president was speaking at the opening of the 27th legislative session of his country's parliament. Commenting on the death of the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Erdogan said, "He [The Emir of Kuwait] was "a different, rational and wise leader, unlike the rulers of some countries in the region, whose rulings do not correspond to reason, logic and fairness." Erdogan's statements sparked a wave of protests and condemnations in the Gulf states, which considered his remarks as "hostile to Arabs" and a "declaration of war on Arabs." Some Arabs wondered whether Erdogan was preparing to topple Arab regimes. Noting that Erdogan posted a video clip of his statements on his Arabic Twitter account in an explicit attempt to send a warning to Arabs, Saudi political analyst Abdel Hameed Yahya wrote: "He [Erdogan] posted it on his Arabic account with an Arabic translation. This is a declaration of war, to say the least." Yayha and several Arab political analysts and commentators said that Erdogan "has a project of hegemony and influence that resembles Iran's project in its end, although they differ in the tools and method of implementation." "While Iran uses sectarianism through its militias and proxies, Turkey has used other tools, the most important of which is political Islam, represented by the Muslim Brotherhood organization," according to the London-based pan-Arab newspaper Al-Arab. "For years, Turkey continued to implement its agenda in secret, but its true face has begun to appear in public. In light of the internal economic crisis, and Turkey's external setbacks, there was no room left for Erdogan but to flee forward." Saudi political activist Munther Al Sheikh Mubarak remarked: "Perhaps October will be a turning point in dealing with Erdogan. His clear threats require the Gulf states to take clear measures against Turkey by ending every relationship with it. Shut up, Erdogan!" Adheya Ahmed Al-Sayed, Chairwoman of the Bahrain Journalists Association, commented that Erdogan's threats against the Gulf states should be seen as a "message to all those who are deceived by Erdogan. MARK ALEXANDER Ahead of the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Amy Comey Barrett, the Left’s hateful dogmatic anti-Christian bigotry has been on full display. Of course, scumbag drumbling lips liar-Joe Biden has clearly demonstrated that bigotry over the years, having even called Christians “the dregs of society” for adhering to scriptural tenets rather than dutifully bowing to the Left’s “cultural agenda.”
This pattern of bigotry is tried and true, as was clear in their response to President Donald Trump’s 2017 nomination of my friend, Representative Mark Green (R-TN), for secretary of the Army.
Green was an exceptional nominee, as I outlined in “Time to Restore Courage, Character and Integrity to this Office,” but Barack scumbag/liar-nObama had spent eight long years using our military ranks as a Petri dish for his social policies. Case in point would be his appointment of Eric Fanning as secretary of the Army — though Fanning had no military experience. He was a leftist political hack and an outspoken homosexual activist, which made him an ideal scumbag/liar-nObama appointee: the first “gay,” (read: gender-confused) military service branch secretary.
On the other hand, Green is a distinguished West Point graduate who became an 82nd Airborne Ranger and rifle company commander. After earning a graduate degree and his medical degree, Green served tours in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, and finished his military service as the Special Operations Flight Surgeon with the 160th Special Ops Aviation Regiment. He was the flight doc for Operation Red Dawn, the 2003 mission to capture Saddam Hussein, and Saddam was under Green’s supervision once captured.
A month after Green’s nomination, he made the difficult decision to fall on his own sword rather than become yet another distraction from Trump’s agenda. Why? Because Dr. Green is a devoted Christian, whose views on “LBGTQ” issues did not comport with the Left’s heterophobic gender-denial orthodoxy.
Referencing the coming assault on Barrett’s faith, Green noted, “When Amy Coney Barrett was first nominated to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, Sen. Dianne Fein-stein, D-Calif., expressed disdain at then-Professor Barrett’s commitment to her Catholic faith. Feinstein famously stated that ‘the dogma lives loudly within you, and that’s of concern.’”
He continued: “It boggles the mind that the ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee could lay down a religious test for a federal judge. This type of religious test is not something any person seeking to serve in public office should have to face, nor is it constitutional. Article VI of the Constitution states that ‘no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.’ Since President Trump nominated Barrett to the Supreme Court on Sept. 26, radical Democrats and the mainstream media have intensified the attacks on her faith. Our nation’s founders believed that our form of government was best protected by a ‘moral and religious people.’ But all too often, leaders of today’s elite institutions believe that religious conviction is a defect. Vilifying people of faith because they don’t agree with progressive policies is against America’s founding principles. Freedom of religion is the foundation of this country, and Americans should stand together to defend it. Personal faith should not disqualify Americans from serving their country.”
Green concluded, “Thankfully, this time around there won’t be enough Senate Democrats to stop Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the Supreme Court. America will be better for it.”
But leftist Democrat Party hacks and their echo-chamber Leftmedia talkingheads will wage a bloody PR campaign against Barrett’s faith — and, by extension, against the Liberty of all faithful Americans, as they chart a path to pack the Supreme Court with anti-constitutional justices who would rubber-stamp their radical leftist agenda. ~The Patriot Post
