Reflections of an old soldier…

Often, I sit in silence, as my mind drifts to days long lost ... too, nights where horrors many did brightly light the skies... where men's cries, shall never end. There, I ponder the weight of it all... What sorrow did gain and what tears many fed? 'Tis but the mournful memories of patriots long dead... Whose, hearts doth shout... give me liberty or give me death... that resounds in my soul.

Did freedom so loosely lay itself in death's way... That men presently would trample upon their grave... Upon, the memory of those... whose lives did bleed... That they may live. Where comes this arrogant nature in man... Too, take lightly the pain of others, who suffered in death?

Where is their true memorial? Does it lie in the mouth of those, who so glibly label their pain of death... tyranny? By what horrible exercise of imperial power... did they die? And to what land do they now lay claim? For in their pain, they suffered for nothing more... than, man should live free... Free from the tyrant's rage and the ignorance of lesser men.

Where then comes this cry from the high places in our land... Too, slander the brave and heroic; our forefathers, and their progeny... whose house they built, that we may live in freedom... How do these men speak and live... What manner of people, hold them in high esteem... Those who rob the graves of the righteous; who steal the sacrifice of liberties... guarantors. Whose, unthankful and derelict nature, doth tare at the wounds of those who fed the Tree of liberty... that they may be free.

  • As Ronald Reagan said, freedom is always just one generation away from extinction.

I think we are victims of our success -- winning the Cold War, being the Number One nation in the world ... and far ahead of the rest ... and with an economy that held out glittering prizes for the upper-middle class young people who could master the mental skills required for them...  AND with our 'cultural apparatus' -- teachers, professors, journalists, government  bureaucrats -- having been eduacated by the disaffected 'generation of the Sixties' who didn't like their country very much ---  it was almost 'over-determined' that we would enter the state we're now in.   And I think our failures in Afghanistan and Iraq were the icing on the cake.  And now China is beginning to push us into second place. So we have a generation which either despises, or is  contemptuous of, its country.

This won't end well.  But no one knows the future, and we have to try to salvage what we can from the ruins that the progressives are going to make of our country.

    • " Where comes this arrogant nature in man....."?

We all know, or should know, but many reject the truth, or even worse, manipulate it into something easily swallowed, watered down, diluted into making one 'feel' good about themselves. The result? Confusion.

Confusion in religion, confusion in education, business, scientific study including medicine, biology, physics, cosmology, politics, and even such things as common decency, common sense, law and the enforcement of it, justice and morality.  Everything becomes complicated, the simple and right solutions to living among others is discarded, lost, rejected as ignorant folly, too stupid to even merit consideration.

And we wonder why people cannot get along? When the entire mixed up mess designed by men is at the root of it all?

There are two paths, only two, for man to follow.  One is narrow and restricts one from going over the edge much like guardrails on a bridge. It is well marked, well lighted, and laid out straight and true.  The other is wide, without barriers of behavior, ( why who needs them?) easy to traverse, and it welcomes all to walk it or better yet, wander around in it . It has no boundary, no guardrail, just wide open to do as you will.

One either follows God.  Or follows Satan.  That's it.

If the Bible is true, then the world is living a lie.  That isn't hard to see.

What does the evidence show?    What does the evidence show?

    • It is the common nature of men to suffer long abuse before rising up to throw off their oppressors… desiring to live at peace as much as possible, in the security of their homes and family the common man is loath to engage those who would bring them to bondage.  It is this nature that has lead us to where we are today… at the portal of a New World Order where men no longer have the promise of liberty and the American Dream.  After suffering the abuse of those who they entrusted with their liberty the people are beginning to awaken to the tyrant's whip,  the doors of democracy and self-determination are being closed. What awaits them is the slave master’s whip… should they now fail to act, to secure their liberty and heritage.

America faces its greatest challenge to date… will it find the resolve, leadership, and unity among its people to meet this challenge or will it go the way of former great Nations… too, join the list of failed attempts to establish a government of the people, by the people and for the people.  Time will tell but the burden of proof and the past don’t bode well for their efforts.  The 2012 election cycle is rapidly becoming one more disappointing effort to break the hold of the oligarchy of globalists and socialists who control our government… these despots are determined to retain their power by hook or crook and the people, including the Tea Party, appear to be having little impact on the corruption that infests our political process.

God alone is able to restore our nation… and America has banned Him from the public square.  MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN… the handwriting is on the wall… God has numbered America’s days, she has been weighed, judged, and found wanting, the nation is divided and shall be given over to others… the end is upon America as we knew her.

Our only hope is that our Nation will return to her Creator… It is the Creator that is the ultimate guarantor of our life, liberty, and happiness.  If America shall humble herself, pray and seek God’s face,  and turn from her wicked ways; then, God would hear from heaven, forgive her sin, and heal her land.  Our Nations's problems are a direct result of its moral decadence… Our abandonment of the God of our fathers.  Political Parties and the governments of men are mere reflections of the social and moral condition of their soul.
