Former Vice President Mike Pence threw shade at Donald Trump by suggesting the GOP will lose if it continues to focus on the 2020 election as the two held dueling rallies in Arizona.
Prior to his speech in Arizona, Pence issued what appeared to be a condemnation of Trump's fixation on the 2020 election, tweeting: 'Democrats would love nothing more than for Republicans to take our eye off the ball and focus on days gone by.
'If the Republican Party allows itself to become consumed by yesterday´s grievances, we will lose,' he added.
Trump, who like Pence is considering running for president in 2024, has savaged his former vice president for what he describes as a failure to block the certification of the 2020 election results.
Such a plan had been cooked up by Trump aides who supported his discredited theory that the election was stolen, but Pence ultimately decided that the action would be illegal.
In Arizona, Trump continued to tout claims that the election was stolen from him and said that despite receiving a 'record number of votes,' he has been the most 'persecuted person' in America.
'A friend of mine recently said that I was the most persecuted person in the history of our country,' Trump said. 'I thought about it, and I felt, you know, he may very well be right.'

“Just saw Mike Pence’s statement on the fact that he had no right to do anything with respect to the Electoral Vote Count, other than be an automatic conveyor belt for (Old Crow) Mitch McConnell to get Biden in office as soon as possible. HE WAS WRONG! The Vice President’s position, is NOT an automatic conveyor if obvious signs of voter fraud or irregularities exist. If he finds it, he had every right to send the vote back to the legislature for reexamination.
To prove it, That is why the Democrats and RINOS are working feverishly together to change the very law that Mike Pence could have used January 6t, but didn’t. The reason they want it changed, is because they now say they don’t want the Vice President to have the right to ensure an honest vote. In other words, I was right, they were wrong and everyone knows it!

We are not focusing on the past but are keeping the past 2020 election in mind so as NOT to let it happen again. Biden wants to give all illegals Fed ID cards so they can vote in all elections. I suggest if Mike Pence is seriously thinking of running for 2024, he start by having rallies now.
If he thinks he can out-do Trump, then he should try. Have rallies, get all his followers in every state to come and support him.

Paul, I have suggested on other web pages that Donald Trump aquired the best people that he could find. But being an political outsider aligned with a hostile Countryclub GOP leadership (begrudgingly not so today), all he could depend on from the party was leakers, and double dealers. Pence had great potential form, but ran like a hack. Having made his bed, he is now obliged to sleep in it.
