Vice President Mike Pence’s chief of staff, Marc Short, said he was denied entry Wednesday night back into the White House after Pence announced he would follow his constitutional duty to certify the results of the 2020 presidential election, according to Real Clear Politics reporter Philip Wegmann.
Short reportedly told Wegmann that he is not allowed back on White House grounds because “He’s (Trump’s) blaming me for advice to VP.”

President Donald Trump has claimed several times that Pence can “reject” states’ chosen electors while he presides over the Senate for the certification process, but Pence said he would not object.

So Pence was just following advice from his chief of staff. That, of course, over rides his oath to the Constitution. And his oath to that document is subject to revision due to uncomfortable circumstances. Particularly so if the circumstance even remotely suggest personal harm to him politically. Pence is a republican. A 'good' one too. If there really is such a thing.
The Constitutional thing to do, in the mind of Pence, is to confirm that Biden won. Hell, the vote count proves he did. Right? Our entire government and courts of law say it is. Yessiree. They are all in agreement on that one. Pence is just a wormy litlle politician doing his wormy little job. He expects us all to worm up in support of his worminess.
I say he was the number one threat to Trump this whole time. Who do you think the repubs will back in 2024? Clue: Not Trump. However, the repubs just do not get it. They will never hold any seats in any committee from now on. They will never hold the Presidency, ever. Pence believes he is in a position only out of ceremony. So, the constitution is only ceremony.
