Cuyahoga County’s enforcement of Gov. Mike DeWine’s mask order will largely rely upon complaints filed by the public, rather than proactive policing, County Executive Armond Budish announced Friday.
Individuals who see others failing to abide by the mask requirement should call in complaints to the county’s new hotline at 216-698-5050, or file complaints online at cuyahogacounty.us/maskexperience.
County workers will then contact the subject of the complaints — either individuals or businesses — to let them know a complaint has been filed, Budish said. Complaints also will be forwarded to the Board of Health, and the relevant city or village.
“This is not intended to be going out and finding people not wearing masks. We want people to wear their masks… We want people to do it voluntarily,” Budish said.
If the county receives repeated complaints or cases of “serious non-compliance,” the Sheriff’s Department could investigate or potentially file charges.
Local municipalities and police departments also could respond to violations however they see fit, which could include proactive policing, Budish said.

COVID-19 is their next weapon and closing business to hurt the economy is their goal,the other is to bring fear to you by wearing a mask. Do you really believe a mask will stop the virus when it is so small it can't be seen it's like the air we breathe, tell them to show us the proof it helped stop the virus.
I don't enjoy wearing a mask but they should give me the choice. They keep forgetting that this is America. I am now going to add this standard line to all my posts, until everyone sees it, "I am impressed with those posting on this website and love every one of you REAL Americans".

To our friends in Cuyahoga County, how many observations of the Governor not complying with the dictate have been filed? If you haven't filed a complaint yet, call every time you see a violation. Has he been visited by law enforcement? I'm sure he's been seen in many locations "around" his office or residence without a mask. Step up and do the right thing! Don't forget the other 'elected' officials in the county as well. We shouldn't just single out '(y)our dear leader.'

BTW what happened to the FLU this year? Stricter rules than there were in the peak. This plandemic is a fake crisis.

The US Constitution requires the accused to be DIRECTLY CONFRONTED by their accusers... for any lawful prosecution. Having an anonymous phone call is not grounds for probable cause to investigate, let alone indictment or conviction of a crime. 800 numbers used to report crimes must have corroborating evidence to establish a crime has occurred. This type of KGB operation is unconstitutional.
Thats right, but what has us screwed now is most all businesses are going along with the B/S. I can protest this lockdown and mask wearing, but does no good if I can't go into Home Depot or a Grocery store w/o a mask.
In my town many of our people are ignoring the order to wear masks and ignoring our governor in sheeps clothing ' Gov. Wolf, of Pennsylvania.
I have to say I'm highly disturbed that Trump caved into the pressure and is wearing a mask now. When the deep state takes the constitutional rights away from the president, you know that we are in deep trouble.
