  • "It was a direct rebuke of actions by ppl" Only in the libtard world could this statement ever have been taken seriously. Showing RESPECT to one's flag and country is nowhere close to  the level of ignorance shown by any protester who chooses to disrespect our flag or country. Just because a libtard doesn't agree with something doesn't make it wrong.

    • The President needs to issue an EO... directing all federal law enforcement to enforce our nation's statutory protections for our flag and National Anthem.. the United States 90th Congress enacted Public Law 90-381 (82 Stat. 291), later codified as 18 U.S.C. 700, et. seq., and better known as the Flag Protection Act of 1968. It was an expansion to nationwide applicability of a 1947 law previously restricted only to the District of Columbia (See 61 Stat. 642).  And,  36 U.S. Code, section 301 regarding the statutory respect to be paid whenever our National Anthem is played... taking a knee to the National Anthem is illegal, it is time to prosecute.  A nation unable or unwilling to protect its national emblems soon finds itself without nique national identity or the patriots to defend its former sovereignty.   A nation that stands for nothing will fall for anything.

For those judges and courts that find such acts as unconstitutional... impeach the judge and/or the entire panel of judges and ignore their findings.  Our flag and national anthem have been protected by law and tradition since our founding, and any Judge, in any Court of the USA, that doesn't understand that disrespect for our national emblems is tantamount to sedition, insurrection, or rebellion needs to be removed from the legal system... Impeached for bad conduct, removed from the bench, and disbarred.

    • close sir, but SC in 5-4 ruling in '89 ,  Texas v. Johnson (1989)  "In a 5-4 decision, the Court upheld flag burning as an act of protected speech under the First Amendment. The Court’s decision reviewed a Texas state flag desecration statute rather than the federal law.  United States v. Eichman (1990). Again in a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court struck down the 1989 act on the grounds that the government’s interest in preserving the flag as a symbol did not outweigh an individual’s First Amendment right to desecrate the flag in protest."

    • Joseph... flag burning is not protected, the Judges and SC in the case cited ruled improperly... the 1st Amendment doesn't support insurrection or acts of dissolution burning the flag is an act of insurrection and dissolution.  The law needs to be enforced and the courts told to review their decision... Congress needs to affirm the law protecting the flag as constitutional and if necessary start the impeachment of every justice that states otherwise for bad conduct... this needs to happen in every case where the court abuses its judicial powers.

There are many cases in law that need to be reviewed... limits need to be placed on the Court's judicial jurisdiction, to restrain their decisions to apply only to the case before them.  NO more 'Stare Decisis' ... as the precept for settled law.  Case law must be limited to informing the Court on previous decisions for uniformity in adjudication however it must not be used to establish the precepts of settled law... the law of the Courts.  Courts are Constitutionally barred from making law.
