ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Law enforcement agents have executed search warrants at the home and business of state Rep. Sheryl Williams Stapleton.
According to a filed warrant, she is under investigation for racketeering, money laundering and receiving illegal kickbacks.
In April, newly-appointed Albuquerque Public Schools Superintendent Scott Elder submitted a letter to the New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas referencing "Suspected Violations of Governmental Conduct Act and Procurement Code."
Investigators are looking into Rep. Williams Stapleton's connections to Robotics Management Learning Systems LCC, a D.C. company that has done business with APS since 2006.

Term Limits combined with the "Average Pay and Benefits of those Your Position Represents" would help bring back the American Concept of "Volunteer Citizens!" The only concept that that "May" assure more efficiency would be to keep the above mentioned "Pay and Benefits Scales", but to " Draft Qualified Citizens into those Positions with Term Limits " Guaranteeing their Personal Work/Property Security awaits them when their Term is done." This would be the complete responsibility of the Community they Represent.

I agree, pay scales for all forms of public service should be moderated... and kept at the lower margins of like service in the civil community... Any benefits kept at similar scales of equity. Of course, there would be no statutory retirement; only a minimal 401K program, based on similar programs available in the private sector.
We must return public SERVICE to its intent... as a SERVICE, not a career or a road to wealth at taxpayer expense. That should keep most of the greedy and self-serving individuals from running for public office. We can then look for our representative government to be a true reflection of the citizen's will ... of those, they represent... not the will of the power hungry individual or lobbyists and corporations.
The rule of law must start at the top... or it will certainly lead to a race to the bottom. IF we are unable to discipline our leadership and civil servants just how are we to discipline society. The government has become so openly corrupt that the people need to hit the reset button... fire all the elected and appointed officials... terminate all the senior civil service and start from scratch. However, that is highly unlikely to happen as those at the top will hardly admit their guilt and if caught will simply obfuscate and avoid any real penalty... the law to them is only a momentary inconvenience... a speed bump on the way to wealth and power.
Term Limits and a Recall Amendment... pass and ratify a Term Limits and Recall Amendment... recall all sitting elected, appointed, and senior civil servants, subject to new elections, appointments, and replacement employment contracts. Establish, One term, 8yrs, with 1/3rd of the elected and appointed offices up for election and appointment every 2yrs... no more than one term as more than one term leads to cronyism and spoils politics. Provide provisions for the States to recall any Federal Official that represents their State... US Senate or member of the House.
Perhaps now that there is a crack in the door, there is a chance of it swinging wide open! Never met a captured person who wanted to be in the cage alone.

New Mexico will never have economic success. Albuquerque dictates the left, corrupt governing of the whole state. They only elect corrupt politicians.
Investigators should look into all of them starting with the top down and I do mean the "president"!
