Marlene, that is exactly what happened over 500 years ago when people start fleeing to this continent to escape from the stifling rulers of Europe. But, as always happens, within with the crowd of freedom seeking colonists was a handful of those type of people who want to control and run everything and everybody else around them. It is part of human nature that power always seeks a center to grow more powerful. Our founding fathers knew this and tried to devise a way to keep it from happening here when they wrote the Constitution, whose sole purpose was to limit federal power. But it is only as effective as the people who are willing to guard and enforce it. Ben Franklin, a student of history and a practical man, who was wise in the ways of human nature, estimated our new republic would last about 200 years before all the power became centralized again and individual freedom was once more threatened. I'd say he got it about right! So, even if you could escape our present situation by running away to some mythical, unknown land to start again, you couldn't help but bring along your human nature and, therefore, given enough time, the seeds of eventuall tyranny!

America needs to rid itself of its "Teachers Unions", and bring back " educators. "

There is nothing worst than a teachers union that is telling the school board,parents, and local government what they should teach according to the democratic communist party.

The real ones, not these communist brainwashing so called teachers.  I blame the Teacher's unions for most of this and they need to be disbanded and the leadership jailed.
