Controversial Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) has been caught funneling over $1 million in campaign cash to her daughter, a financial paper trail has revealed.
Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings show Karen Waters, daughter of the California lawmaker, took home $1.13 million from the campaign coffers.
The payments were allegedly for providing various “services” for her mother’s campaign since 2003.
Most of the cash is for her role in running a slate-mailer operation.
The scheme involves California lawmakers giving money to Waters’ campaign in exchange for mailers bearing her apparent endorsement.
The mailers have become increasingly lucrative for the younger Waters over the years.
During the 2020 cycle, her payments hit a high of $240,000, according to the Washington Free Beacon.
That’s significantly more than the $90,000 her firm, Progressive Connections, took in during the 2006 election cycle.

I think that if all of Congress had to make full disclosure of how many relatives are on their office's payroll either directly or indirectly, we would find that this is a common practice and that Maxine Waters is just the ugly tip of the iceberg. Competetive bids are probably not required of Congressional Offices even though the rest of government is required to follow the rules for letting contracts. I wonder how much campaign money winds up being "off the books", unaccounted for, and untaxed.

this is not new news; heard it way back, but no one does anything about the corruption.
This is what happens when you have individuals in charge of domestic law and order that are more interested in patronizing minorities than maintaining law and order... This is what happens when criminals and their malicious character become the driving force behind the cultural narrative and social justice.
There is no justice in the USA any more. Even when we had control of the House, how come no one went after her/???
We know that Trump made America great again, and it is going downhill fast under the illegitimate Biden. Today we can't trust the courts or law enforcement like the CIA & FBI to go after someone like Maxine Waters, who obvioulsy should be in jail rather than in the House of Representatives. When basic government functions like the courts and law enforcement are compromised as they are in teh US today, we are talking about a banana republic and not a country that should call itself free let alone the leader of the free world. In other words, the US is toast today.
