Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.) has called on the Department of Veterans Affairs to strip benefits from any service members and veterans who stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, according to a Monday report from Business Insider.
Gallego — a veteran himself — stated that those service members' actions are "not representative of the large population of American veterans" and they should be punished accordingly.

Gallego, according to the outlet, asked Veterans Affairs Secretary Denis McDonough to withdraw benefits from those active duty service members, veterans, and military retirees who took part in the Jan. 6 riots in Washington, D.C.
In a letter, Gallego wrote, "The behavior of these individuals is not representative of the large population of American veterans, the vast majority of whom served honorably and are appalled by the thought of insurrection in the country they served. Yet, many of the veterans and service members who attacked their own government actively and enthusiastically enjoy special benefits given to them by their fellow citizens."

Unfortunately, they did it for eight years of the Obama administration with quantitative easing and now again under the cognitavely impaired Joe Biden and the unfit for the Vice Pesidency Kamala Harris. We are definitely in trouble unless we can slow the underhanded juggernaut that Pelosi and Schumer are trying to implement. Spending, HR-1, and immigration policy being among the most egregious.

Gallego, another person who should be impeached because of anti-American activities. A veteran - for whose side I doubt it was ours obviously. Better investigate to find out how he was colluding with enemy while in uniform. I vet he did not serve honorably because he ofviously has no honor. I would say tghe veterans who participated in the protest on January 6 are far more patriotic than he is. Also I doubt thye participated in the riots. More than likely they were just in the crowd that went to hear President Trump.
Democrats are just plain wrong. How can they sleep at night with all the hurt they are causing? The government belongs to the American people not the socialist Democratic Party. We need term limits before these career politicians totally destroy this great nation.

This is not about criminal conduct. This Representative would deny the accused Veteran due process... an administrative hearing and or his day in court. Being present at a lawfully assembled political rally doesn't mean one engaged or approved of any acts of insurrection or unlawful conduct.
They got away with that crap in "war on drugs" legislation. What would make anyone think that they can't do it with this situation???
Let's begin by stripping "wellfare benefits" from anyone caught rioting or establishing a "autonomous zone".
