Key Findings From Senate Report into Hunter Biden

Hunter Biden Cries When Asked About Ukraine Corruption - YouTube

U.S. Senators Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, released a report that revealed millions of dollars in questionable financial transactions between Hunter Biden and his associates and foreign individuals, including the wife of the former mayor of Moscow and individuals with ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

These were just some of the findings from their investigation into potential conflicts of interest arising from Hunter Biden accepting a position on the board of, and taking millions of dollars from, Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company with a long-standing reputation for corruption, while his father, Joe Biden, was vice president and the public face of the Obama administration’s handling of Ukraine policy.

Findings from the chairmen’s investigation include:

  • In early 2015 former Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine, George Kent raised concerns to officials in Vice President Joe Biden’s office about the perception of a conflict of interest with respect to Hunter Biden’s role on Burisma’s board.  Kent’s concerns went unaddressed and in September 2016, he emphasized in an email to his colleagues, “Furthermore, the presence of Hunter Biden on the Burisma board was very awkward for all U.S. officials pushing an anticorruption agenda in Ukraine.”
  • In October 2015, senior State Department official Amos Hochstein raised concerns with Vice President Biden, as well as with Hunter Biden, that Hunter Biden’s position on Burisma’s board enabled Russian disinformation efforts and risked undermining U.S. policy in Ukraine.
  • Hunter Biden was serving on Burisma’s board (supposedly consulting on corporate governance and transparency) when Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky allegedly paid a $7 million bribe to officials serving under Ukraine’s prosecutor general, Vitaly Yarema, to “shut the case against Zlochevsky.” George Kent testified that this bribe occurred in December 2014 (seven months after Hunter Biden joined Burisma’s board), and, after learning about it, he and the resident legal adviser reported this allegation to the FBI.
  • In addition to the over four million dollars paid by Burisma to Hunter Biden and his business partner, Devon Archer, for membership on the board, Hunter, his family, and Archer received millions of dollars from foreign nationals with questionable backgrounds.
  • Devon Archer received $142,300 from Kenges Rakishev of Kazakhstan, purportedly for a car, the same day Vice President Joe Biden appeared with Ukrainian Prime Minister Arsemy Yasenyuk and addressed Ukrainian legislators in Kyiv regarding Russia’s actions in Crimea.
  • Hunter Biden received a $3.5 million wire transfer from Elena Baturina. Ms. Baturina is the wife (widow) of the former mayor of Moscow.
  • Hunter Biden had business associations with Ye Jianming, Gongwen Dong, and other Chinese nationals linked to the Communist government and People’s Liberation Army. Those associations resulted in millions of dollars in questionable transactions.
  • Hunter Biden opened a bank account with Gongwen Dong that financed a $100,000 global spending spree with James Biden and Sara Biden.
  • Hunter Biden also moved millions of dollars from his law firm to James Biden’s and Sara Biden’s firm.  Upon being questioned about the transaction, Sara Biden refused to provide supporting documentation and information to more clearly explain the activity. The bank subsequently closed the account.
  • Hunter Biden paid nonresident women who were nationals of Russia or other Eastern European countries and who appear to be linked to an “Eastern European prostitution or human trafficking ring.”

As outlined in Senate resolution 70, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee has the express authority “to study or investigate... the efficiency and economy of operations of all branches of the government, including the possible existence of… corruption or unethical practices… [and] conflicts of interest.” The Senate Finance Committee has broad jurisdiction over the United States Government and, the Department of Treasury and the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), which includes oversight jurisdiction over potential financial crimes.

    • Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord's."   America no longer observes God as their lord, even the faithful fail too righttully acknowledge God as Lord... choosing often to embrace the world they forget whose they are... Christ will soon return to gather in the remanent before all are lost.

"18 I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. 19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me." - Revelation 3:18-20

  • Sunlight and transparency are the best disinfectants, and we should both thank and support the legislators who are exposing this despicable contamination of our body politic to the public in general. This is not new to those of us who have been following this Biden corruption via information from less biased sources than the mainstream media.

    • I am afraid that our problems with corruption are well beyond passive measures, exposing these criminals to the light only enrages them and brings out the worst in them.  Sunlight is not enough, neither is fresh air. We need the force of God's wrath to open up the earth and swallow these ungodly miscreants whole, another Mt. Sinai event.

    • ......and if we keep His Word in patience and humility, while continuing to fight the good fight, we should have faith that Divine Providence will do the rest. The Founders all believed this to be true, therefore it is contingent upon us to do the same. They pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor in the cause of liberty and freedom for all. How many Americans are ready to do the same today?

    • Patience should never become an excuse to suffer evil... We must always do our best, commit our resources, to separate evil from our environment...  Acceptance or acquiescence to evil is not permitted and your stand sounds more like acquiescence than resistance or patience.

This attitude is precisely what is wrong with the GOP... they are not patient... they acquiesce to evil ... kicking the can down the road for others to deal with.

    • His Word is specific concerning the suffering in the latter days... of the time of sorrows building up to Great Tribulation, such as never seen in the Earth before. Christ is not against the use of force. After all, He shall return as the Lion of Judah, at the head of God's Army, to put asunder evil, to make His enemies His footstool.   David was a mighty man of war and yet he was the apple of God's eye, one of His chosen and most beloved men of all time.

Our founding fathers were well acquainted with war and physical engagement to right wrongs... too, defend their homes.  They carved a Nation out of the wilderness and stood toe to toe with the savages of the time. God expects us to do the same. He expects us too put down evil wherever we find it. We are not to permit evil space in our personal lives or our GOVERNMENT.

Waiting on God to intervene is to deny God's commission to mankind... to subdue the earth; too, keep order in His garden.  It is time to weigh it all, the sum of our offerings and resistance, and the cost of our liberty. Will we throw it all away for lack of physical restraint or will we stand up to the tyrant in the field, in our public squares, and the courts? We must do all three, and with fervent conviction, knowing that urgency is born out of necessity, and that the world doesn't wait on the timid nor liberty on the weak.

    • Follow His word and obey. Do not judge.

    • Nay, we are to judge righteously, as we would be judged... God expects us to judge sin that we may remove it from our presence... we are not to walk in the way with sinners nor sit in the seat of the scornful and mockers.  We are to meditate on God's law day and night so that we may be like the Tree planted by the water whose leaves are green and available to heal the nations... and give comfort to the weary in the heat of the day.   We are not too ignore sin as many do today... if our pastors did their jobs they would cull out the sinner and shun them as in I Corinthians chapters 5 and 6  there would be more righteousness in our world today.

Patience is not an excuse for allowing sin to take root in one's household or nation... we are to root it out, too resists it and when it appears, we are to call it sin, and remove the sinner from the Congregaton ... after giving them a period of time to repent.  Again, see 1 Cor Chapter 5 and 6 on judging others.
