Key Findings From Senate Report into Hunter Biden

Hunter Biden Cries When Asked About Ukraine Corruption - YouTube

U.S. Senators Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, released a report that revealed millions of dollars in questionable financial transactions between Hunter Biden and his associates and foreign individuals, including the wife of the former mayor of Moscow and individuals with ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

These were just some of the findings from their investigation into potential conflicts of interest arising from Hunter Biden accepting a position on the board of, and taking millions of dollars from, Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company with a long-standing reputation for corruption, while his father, Joe Biden, was vice president and the public face of the Obama administration’s handling of Ukraine policy.

Findings from the chairmen’s investigation include:

  • In early 2015 former Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine, George Kent raised concerns to officials in Vice President Joe Biden’s office about the perception of a conflict of interest with respect to Hunter Biden’s role on Burisma’s board.  Kent’s concerns went unaddressed and in September 2016, he emphasized in an email to his colleagues, “Furthermore, the presence of Hunter Biden on the Burisma board was very awkward for all U.S. officials pushing an anticorruption agenda in Ukraine.”
  • In October 2015, senior State Department official Amos Hochstein raised concerns with Vice President Biden, as well as with Hunter Biden, that Hunter Biden’s position on Burisma’s board enabled Russian disinformation efforts and risked undermining U.S. policy in Ukraine.
  • Hunter Biden was serving on Burisma’s board (supposedly consulting on corporate governance and transparency) when Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky allegedly paid a $7 million bribe to officials serving under Ukraine’s prosecutor general, Vitaly Yarema, to “shut the case against Zlochevsky.” George Kent testified that this bribe occurred in December 2014 (seven months after Hunter Biden joined Burisma’s board), and, after learning about it, he and the resident legal adviser reported this allegation to the FBI.
  • In addition to the over four million dollars paid by Burisma to Hunter Biden and his business partner, Devon Archer, for membership on the board, Hunter, his family, and Archer received millions of dollars from foreign nationals with questionable backgrounds.
  • Devon Archer received $142,300 from Kenges Rakishev of Kazakhstan, purportedly for a car, the same day Vice President Joe Biden appeared with Ukrainian Prime Minister Arsemy Yasenyuk and addressed Ukrainian legislators in Kyiv regarding Russia’s actions in Crimea.
  • Hunter Biden received a $3.5 million wire transfer from Elena Baturina. Ms. Baturina is the wife (widow) of the former mayor of Moscow.
  • Hunter Biden had business associations with Ye Jianming, Gongwen Dong, and other Chinese nationals linked to the Communist government and People’s Liberation Army. Those associations resulted in millions of dollars in questionable transactions.
  • Hunter Biden opened a bank account with Gongwen Dong that financed a $100,000 global spending spree with James Biden and Sara Biden.
  • Hunter Biden also moved millions of dollars from his law firm to James Biden’s and Sara Biden’s firm.  Upon being questioned about the transaction, Sara Biden refused to provide supporting documentation and information to more clearly explain the activity. The bank subsequently closed the account.
  • Hunter Biden paid nonresident women who were nationals of Russia or other Eastern European countries and who appear to be linked to an “Eastern European prostitution or human trafficking ring.”

As outlined in Senate resolution 70, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee has the express authority “to study or investigate... the efficiency and economy of operations of all branches of the government, including the possible existence of… corruption or unethical practices… [and] conflicts of interest.” The Senate Finance Committee has broad jurisdiction over the United States Government and, the Department of Treasury and the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), which includes oversight jurisdiction over potential financial crimes.

  • There are underlying financial benefits for the lazy Marxist and spoiled college kids who are supporting the insurrection... government hand outs.  HOwever, they will be short lived once a total collapse of the economy comes and those DUPES now protesting will starve as there will be no cornocopia of aid coming from the a bankrupt nation.

  • I hope the voters are smart enough to purge this CRIMINAL PARTY!.......The SMART ones know this is IT for the country. The Democrats are colluding to overthrow our Government, with that......OUR FREEDOM!!!

  • Exactly why Joe Biden wants to win at any cost. So as to sweep this all under the rug and continue with his gangland empire. We must reelect president Trump and indict him and Hillary for stealing the American people blind and inviting the CCP to Rob is of our economy.

  • Waiting on God to intervene is to deny God's commission to mankind... to subdue the earth; too, keep order in His garden.  It is time to weigh it all, the sum of our offerings and resistance, and the cost of our liberty. Will we throw it all away for lack of physical restraint or will we stand up to the tyrant in the field, in our public squares, and the courts? We must do all three, and with fervent conviction, knowing that urgency is born of necessity, and that the world doesn't wait on the timid nor liberty on the weak.

  • Jail time, Jail time period.

  • We already know what he did. The question is what will be done about it? If Joe Biden were a Republican then this would be all over the propaganda media and a Special Counsel would be appointed to investigate. Republicans don't have the backbone or interest in pursuing justice against Democrats. Look at how long it took Lindsey Graham and Ron Johnson to subpeana Spygate conspirators. Republicans, for the most part, are the lesser of two evils. They knew the Mueller investigation was a fraud in 2017 and said nothing. If you put your faith in them you will continue to be disappointed.

  • We don't need more reports on the criminal acts of the Democrats or Biden's ... we need PROSECUTIONS... does anyone in Congress or the DOJ know how to spell INDICTMENT or PROSECUTE... it appears that the Kabuki Theater Directors continue to put the Stuntmen out front while allowing the criminals to exit stage LEFT... with all their Marxist Cohorts...  Stop with the reports ... start with law enforcement ... arrests, detention, arraignment, indictment, and trials... just in case you geniuses in Congress forgot how to bring one to justice... it isn't with reports that end up in circular file13

    • Would it be possible for those who want a change in the action of the DOJ to start a write in campaign and flood the Attorney Generals office with demands that he take action now. Years of investigating from office holders with no authority to address the criminal actions of the investigated must have provided evidence to charge them.

    • Anyone who hasn't already been communicating with their elected representative to get their opinion to the AG and other executive branch offices is derelict in their duty as a participating citizen. Discussing these matters between ourselves on this channel is informative, but it does not necessarily percolate up to the people who need to hear it. And it is extremely important to keep such correspondence civil and non-inflammatory to avoid being dismissed as a crackpot lunatic.

    • Has Patience Become An Excuse For Failure?

Patience may be a virtue… but when dealing with those who have no virtue, patients can become an enemy. We must not let excessive caution rule the day or fear destroy our hope.

We are at war for the very soul of our nation… bold strides and broad advances need to replace the pastel and mediocre efforts of the past. America must act while the People still have the framework of a Constitutional Republic to reform. Let patience have her perfect works… but work, she must.

So far, it appears that our patience is not working… In fact, it has become an excuse for failure. Patience must be reinforced with Hope and Hope must have a vision. Where are our hope and a vision for the future? It is not enough to complain. America must organize under a single banner; it must find effective leadership and resourcing capable of developing a plan and a vision that can take root in the people; too, motivate and mobilize, the Spirit of 1776. A nation without a vision will perish. Where is the plan… the vision? Where may we place our patience and hope? Who among us will lead the people and where will they find the resources to wage war with the enemies of liberty?

Those may be hard words… but I believe they are a truthful representation of our current situation; nothing appears to be working, hope is turning to despair, and with it comes the specter of defeat. America can not wait for the next election cycle to begin, our efforts must materialize in the streets of America now… Patience is not working, it has become an excuse for ineffective action and failure.

America’s leaders and wealthy are failing to heed the call of its people… the despots hold our hope at bay and our patience is turning to despair. A people without a vision, a nation without true leadership, and a merchant class, that is unwilling to sacrifice for the good of the whole, will soon turn the American Dream into a nightmare. I call upon those who command the resources, those with the ability to lead, to take the reigns of America while there is yet daylight to work anew her foundations… Too, pull down the evil which has occupied our halls of government; too, restore our forefather's vision in a people who are desperate for leadership and renewal.
