The federal government has agreed to spend $6.1 million to create a database of information including videos, photographs, documents and social media posts that will assist the Justice Department in prosecuting more individuals involved in the Jan. 6 Capitol breach.
The massive database of gathered evidence will be created by technology contractor Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, which is reportedly "a litigation support vendor with extensive experience providing complex litigation technology services."
In a court filing Thursday, prosecutors said they are organizing thousands of hours of body-worn camera footage, closed-circuit surveillance camera footage, over a million social media videos, data from phones and email accounts, and the responses to over 6,000 grand jury subpoenas, Politico reports.
"The government is working to provide an unprecedented amount of materials in the most comprehensive and usable format to defense counsel,"Assistant U.S. Attorneys Nadia Moore and William Dreher said in their submission.
Defendants are required to have access to all relevant evidence gathered in an investigation, which will be possible with the database.

By the time they organize everything and find the right people to oversee the program, the democrats will be out of the majority in both houses. Then the Republicans will be able to change the left leaning bias to something that at least looks like it if a fair undertaking. That there will be no behind close door meetings and that everything will be out there for the people to see. As it stands right now, this is another shot at President Trump. These left leaning progressives and just the plain ole stupid democrats won't stop until they push the right into a real insurrection. How many are being caught and tried for the destruction of private and government property from those riots?
