Ghislaine Maxwell, the British socialite and heiress who became a confidante of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein and was later accused of involvement in his alleged sexual crimes, has been arrested by the FBI, two senior law enforcement sources tell News 4 New York.
She was arrested in New Hampshire on Epstein-related charges and is expected to appear in a federal court later today, the sources say.
Spokespeople for the FBI and the U.S. Attorney's Office in Manhattan declined to comment.
The daughter of media baron Robert Maxwell, Ghislaine was a one-time girlfriend of Epstein's and was at the high-flying investor's side for decades.
But she was also alleged to have helped Epstein groom teen girls for sex with the rich and powerful. One of those teens, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, leveled that charge against Maxwell in a 2015 defamation suit.

So, just my take. Ghislane Maxwell did not come back from Europe unless she had a pre arranged deal for her protection. Yes she was arrested at her house in NH. But with "20 million" in assets I firmly believe she could have disappeared. Remember who her father was....this does way way back ! But certainly has relevance today
I hope she's made out her will. She would also be well served to document her knowledge on videotape and find a way to hide the tape. After Whitey Bulger and Epstein it should be more than obvious that nobody is safe in "federal custody."
There is a Florida ex-policeman who made 10 copies of Epstein's data and spread them around the world afterwhich he escaped to Russia for fear of his life. He states that these recordings are his insurance policy. These recordings evidently incriminate hundreds of powerful and influential people. If anyone really believes that Epstein committed suicide I have a bridge I would like to sell you.
If she is smart she scattered copies around to be revealed in case she is also murdered. Epstein and her are the tip of the criminal ice berg. I am at the point where I believe that these hundreds of scoundrels will never be prosecuted and that the justice dept are playing the sheelple. I am not a believer any longer. For a person to want to escape to Russia one has to be totally desperate since these elites can reach him in most other places on earth. His life is ruined.
Funny how this case got proscecuted so quickly, while Benghazi, Fast and Furious. Emails and POTUS treason and fraud still wait for judgement and justice.
The case has not yet been prosecuted. She is merely charged. Big difference

If she was in fact helping Epstein to recruit girls then put her in prison for the rest of her life. Now with Epstein mysteriously suicided in prison, it isn't relevant any more.
Criminal activity is always relevant. Most likely the FBI just wants to know what she knows as they investigate other cases involving sex trafficking. it's a sure bet that they won't look at Bill Clinton or Prince Andrew, though
