A senior Chinese diplomat on Monday bluntly warned the visiting American deputy secretary of state, Wendy R. Sherman, that the Biden administration’s strategy of pursuing both confrontation and cooperation with Beijing was sure to fail.
China’s assistant foreign minister, Xie Feng, told Ms. Sherman that the United States’ “competitive, collaborative and adversarial rhetoric” was a “thinly veiled attempt to contain and suppress China,” according to a summary of Mr. Xie’s comments that the Chinese foreign ministry sent to reporters.
Ms. Sherman’s meetings offered the latest gauge of the Biden administration’s strategy of stepping up pressure against the Chinese government on several fronts, including human rights and internet hacking, while seeking to work together on global problems like climate change and international health threats. Mr. Xie’s remarks underscored the anger that has been building in China toward the United States, undermining the chances that the approach will work.

The most direct and effective way to deal with China... is to phase out trade with China... start by withdrawing their most favored nation status, and notifying them that all of the TRUMP tariffs are reinstated Next, stop exporting all petroleum products to China, recall all student and educational Visa's and work permits for Chinese nationals ... deport them... many of them are spies and Chinese commercial pirates.
Inform all US and International corporations that do business in China... that they have 180 days to withdraw from such business, or face tariffs, sanctions, and fines for profiteering, from China's criminal conduct. China has violated US copyrights, patents, commercial and trade secrets, leveraging their theft for profit and world market share. China has also engaged in illegal currency manipulation and violated international monetary and exchange banking laws. Businesses that knowingly engage and profit from China's violations are accessories to those crimes and should be dealt with for their unlawful conduct.
We must use every non-violent means to reign in China's outrageous and illegal conduct... they and their allies in the Democrat Party, not US Patriots, are the biggest threat to our National Secuirty.
