New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Wednesday all but threatened President Trump’s safety if he returns to New York City in a rant responding to an exclusive story by The Post that Trump is looking to pull federal funds from “lawless” cities including New York.
Cuomo called an emergency press briefing within a half hour on Wednesday night to tear into Trump for the order, which cites New York’s rising murder rate and defunding of the NYPD.
“He better have an army if he thinks he’s gonna walk down the street in New York. New Yorkers don’t want to have anything to do with him,” the Democrat said, all but threatening the commander in chief.
But Cuomo, who like Trump hails from Queens, wasn’t done. “He can’t have enough bodyguards to walk through New York City, people don’t want to have anything to do with him.”
On substance, Cuomo said he doubted the legality of Trump’s five-page memo ordering a review of federal funds that can be redirected from New York City, Portland, Seattle and Washington, DC.
“It is more of the same from him. It’s political, it is gratuitous. And it’s illegal. But it is another attempt to kill New York City,” Cuomo said.
“President Ford said drop dead. President Trump has been actively trying to kill New York City since he’s been elected,” he said.
In highly personal and insulting language, Cuomo speculated that Trump wasn’t upset about New York’s soaring murder rate and shootings.

Both the Governor and Mayor of NY and NYC have no room to make idle threats. The Gov needs to watch his back due to the nursing home and like facilities outrageous and unnecessary deaths due to his covid policy. But it's funny the number of people who have said they would volunteer for duty to protect the President, even some ex-NYC police....

Cuomo is engaged in euthanasia... returning aged COVID19 patients to nursing homes in NY.... Knowing they were not set up sufficiently to isolate them and keep the COVID virus from infecting and killing many of the formerly uninfected residents. He did this with thousands of beds set up by the military to isolate such patients... including a Hospital ship able to taking care of these critical patients in an isolated environment.

they have no understanding of how different generations of family members can be a blessing and be helpful to one another. In some respects it's really sad to have older people living in nursing homes instead of living in family homes and being cared for by loving family members. Society has changed so much, and so many of those family members are now out working when it one time they had more people at home in the daytime. My own mother-in-law, at 101 years of age, lives in a senior facility, but she chose to live there and moved there about 25 years ago maybe longer than that. I think she was younger than 75 when she and her husband moved there. And have had a very happy life there and are very well cared for. But it was her choice not the choice of her children. Until the virus, my husband and his two sisters, all living in three different states, have had a pattern of flying In to visit her several times a year. Now they haven't seen her since Thanksgiving because they're not allowed to come to that facility, which is the way it should be ! All three are hoping they can be with her again soon and perhaps even at Thanksgiving which is a really nice time to be there. They are all concerned that she will pass before they ever get to see her again, but at least she's in a safe and pleasant environment and being very well taken care of!
But due to Governor Cuomo, around 6000 senior citizens have passed away due to being exposed to the virus intentionally, and charges should be brought! My guess is that will never happen, but civil suits should be filed against DeBlasio and Cuomo By the families of those who have lost a loved one. by the families of those who have lost a loved one. Sounds only fair to have 6000 lawsuits brought against them. The only problem with that is the tax pair will have to pay the legal fees to fight those court cases! Part of bringing civil suits should include request for damages directly from Cuomo and Deblasio, so that the state tax pairs do not have to pay the bill!
