I'm not sure there was a crime in threatening to give it away. They can either give it to the truckers or give it back to the doners
Any organization that wants money, and it run by the democrats are all thieves . And the people should know better than to give it to the crooks like gofundme.
GOFUNDME may be breaking the law by confiscating the funds... Convoy 2020 should consider pressing CRIMINAL THEFT and/or embezzlement charges, should GOFUNDME persist in keeping THEIR MONEY and distributing it to others not authorized by Convoy 2020.
GOFUNDMEN has no lawful right to determine that illegal or unlawful acts are being conducted with the funds collected... That is local law enforcement's responsibility... GOFUNDME needs to allow the Canadian police and prosecutors and decide what is legal or not. GOFUNDMEN needs a competent court of jurisdiction to issue an order to impound any funds they deem were improperly obtained by Convoy 2020 or are being used for criminal conduct...
GOFUNDME has no legal authority to withhold funds without a court order and then they would be required to turn those funds over to the court subject to due process under the laws of Canada... not some executive in GOFUNDME"s corporate structure.

If I had donated my money to go to an organization like the Truckers in Canada and some lawless, creepy, stealing company like GoFundMe took the money and was giving it to whomeve they wanted, their CEO would be in trouble. I would personally go to him and take my money back for him stealing it. If this is an American Company, they should be under arrest for grand theft and put in prison. Just who do they think they are? This is just stealing, no question.
Looks like Texas is going after them too!
