Public health officials have announced that a squirrel in Colorado has tested positive for the bubonic plague.

The town of Morrison, Colorado, in Jefferson County, which is just west of Denver, made the startling announcement saying that the squirrel is the first case of plague in the county.

“Plague is an infectious disease caused by the bacteria Yersinia pestis, and can be contracted by humans and household animals if proper precautions are not taken,” officials from Jefferson County Public Health (JCPH) said in a statement released to the public.

  • Keep saying the Socialist Party has nothing to offer just fear and the people should start knowing that all this is politics. Asked CDC to prove the mask protect you from the COVID-19, remember molecules are so small it will take 10 million molecules to fill the eye of a needle

  • What happened? Did these smart, unelected scientists miss something again? I say we get rid of this corrupt bunch, take these so called scientists out of our educational system, and instead teach our young folks what really matters: God and patriotism.

  • I don't believe ANYTHING public health officials say. They make up lies to keep people who don't do research scared of everything.

  • Bubonic plague has been endemic in the rodent population in the American West for ages.  It is transmitted to humans if the person is bitten by fleas that infest these animals.  We do have a small number of cases of the plague each year as a result of this.  Bubonic plague is readily treated by modern antibiotics.  This is simply an attempt by the MSM to cranki up a fear factor among the American people.

  • First... Bubonic plague doesn't suddenly show up in Colorado without a vector to bring it to Colorado.  Someone or something brought the plague into America... it just didn't happen.  The question arises are we being attacked by bio-weapons... Islamic terrorists have wanted to do this for years... others have wanted to do this to America.  Now that TRUMP IS PRESIDENT an America is no longer willing to shoulder the financial burdens of the world and has implemented America's first policies... we are suddenly under attack by bio-weapons which are hard to trace to a specific source.

The CDC is responsible for keeping such plagues out of America... what are they doing to prevent them.  Not to worry, we have 3 vaccines against the Bubonic plague and its various forms...

  • The same public health officials that hoped to put the entire country under the spirit of fear?

So that now we can fear squirrels? LM*O.

    • Could it be an illegal alien that brought in the Bubonic plague... AKA... black death?
