Part of the shock of the arrests of nearly 1,000 Americans who simply attended a rally was the assumption that because they did nothing wrong, they would not be the ones getting that knock on the door. The same for those arrested for protesting at an abortion clinic. Protests happen often and were applauded in the summer of 2020, but not if you wear a Trump hat, or believe in the Bill of Rights, especially the 2nd amendment, or speak up at a school board meeting to protect the innocence of your children from what passes for comprehensive sex education. It seems the Left is outraged all the time, and it does not help that our President went on national tv to declare us all to be white supremacists and a danger to democracy, even though we are the ones speaking out against the real dangers to our democracy. Even though we who supported President Trump come in all races, colors, and cultures. I never heard of a fight at a Trump rally before January 6th, and we still hope that Congress will eventually do what they can to get more truth and facts out to counter the heavily slanted narratives about that day.

So much as I hope things will turn around, they really might get much worse before then. Already too many people still languish in jail and you can hear about their stories at https://www.patriotfreedomproject.com/ and show your support, Another good source is https://stophate.com/. It reminds me of Foxes Book of Martyrs, in that there is suffering we may not want to know about, but it can help us to prepare, because we really might be next. Pretending it can't happen is no longer good for us. It is happening.

Let's keep praying and contacting legislators, etc., but it might also be good to have that conversation with your family. What if the FBI came knocking at your door? Most had no warning and very few minutes to respond or have their door destroyed. I think that contributed to the trauma. People were completely unprepared. They had no attorney on speed dial. The shock to the system is part of the strategy. Putting people in solitary confinement for days is part of the strategy to make people willing to sign anything,

Andrew Brunson was a missionary for 23 years before he was in a Turkish prison, and he said that he thought he was prepared, but solitary confinement was really hard on him. He has a website Wavestarters.org that he hopes will help people better prepare for persecution even in America. It seems to me like the persecution has begun here, and with the passage of the most recent bill, the twisting of language is only going to get worse.

My pastor pointed out tonight that Jesus was preparing His disciples for his arrest and crucifixion by the things He talked about during the Last Supper, which is covered in detail in the Gospel of John chs 13 to 17. He knew He would be arrested within 24 hours, so this was His last chance to tell them what they needed to know. So this might be a good preparation for us as well. Jesus promised peace that passes all understanding, the Holy Spirit's presence and help, and even the fullness of joy, in spite of what was coming. John 14:1 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me." John 15:18 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you." John 16:33 "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

It's kind of like preparing for a tornado. If you know what to do and you have prepared your children, maybe it will make things easier to weather and get through it to the other side.

THE CRIMINALIZATION OF CHRISTIANITY PERSECUTION BY DEMOCRATS RAMPING UP thttps://patriotcommandcenter.org/forum/the-criminalization-of-christianity-persecution-by-democrats-ramp2022-10-14T18:19:31.000Z2022-10-14T18:19:31.000ZBob Russellhttps://patriotcommandcenter.org/members/BobRussell

THE CRIMINALIZATION OF CHRISTIANITY

PERSECUTION BY DEMOCRATS RAMPING UP

I am watching the October 10, 2022 edition of Tucker Carlson Tonight. He is covering the persecution of Christians who are anti-abortion activists. The lead story is about a man named Paul Vaughan, a former pastor now involved in protesting abortion. A group of FBI agents armed with automatic rifles, "weapons of war" banged on his door very early in the morning and arrested him as a "domestic terrorist" for leading a protest at an abortion clinic in May 2021. No explanation was given to his wife who asked why they were there. His punishment for opposing the MURDER of unborn children of God.

If Vaughan and his friends had burned down a church or a pro-life crisis pregnancy center they would be held up as heroes but since they are on the "wrong side" they are imprisoned. Vaughan and those allied with him face 11 years in prison for peacefully, truly peacefully protesting, while people who committed arson, some leading to deaths, are given a mild tap on the wrist and a "tsk tsk". This is reminiscent of what happened in Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, Communist China, and other sites of satanic despotism. America was established by men who were devout Christians who used the Holy Bible to base the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution upon. There is ample documentation to back up what I say, just look at the writings and written speeches of our founding fathers. The current regime, installed through MASSIVE VOTE FRAUD, hates God, hates America, and is rapidly turning this nation into a gulag where freedom seeking people, especially we of the Christian faith, are declared "enemies of the state" who must be imprisoned for daring to use.

The devildemocommiecrats hail MS-13 gang members as "children of God" consider political opponents as "domestic terrorists" for being on the "wrong side" of the political battle going on in America today. Christians who sing hymns in abortion clinics are "enemies of the state" while violent illegal alien gang members and arsonists are "heroes on the right side". God may be on the throne but satan rules over America, as is very clear for anyone to see. The level of evil that sits in places of governmental power is appalling and getting worse as each day passes.

Carlson showed a video clip of nutty nancy pelosi telling a reporter that she supports a "woman's right to choose" but stood and cheered when nurses and public employees were fired for using that same position to refuse to take the phony covid "vaccines". They level of duplicity and hypocrisy of the devildemocommiecrats is beyond my ability to comprehend. One day they are going to stand before the judgment seat of God and answer for what they are doing. Their lame excuses and "virtue signaling" will fall on deaf ears because their excuses are VERY LAME and directly oppose the Word of God some of them claim to live by. Pelosi said in the video clip that she is a "devout catholic" but even the catholic church openly claims to oppose abortion but does nothing but pay lip service to the issue.

It amazes me how abortion is "a woman's right to choose" but refusing to take an untested, unproven, and now known to be very dangerous, "vaccine" doesn't carry the same "right to choose". Again, the duplicity and hypocrisy of the devildemocommiecrat party and their Pravda/Goebbels fake news propagandists is not only appalling but also very troubling because people like myself who oppose tyranny have very little opportunity to get our positions out because the demonic left controls 99% of the means of spreading information. I may have a very hard time getting this distributed because sites I post on are very leery of allowing my stronger opinion articles on their site from what I assume is fear of retribution by the left. Can I expect the FBI to be banging on my door in the wee hours of the morning and arresting this 72 year old disabled veteran for daring to use the 1st Amendment to oppose the murder of unborn children of God? I have never committed a crime and my worse offenses have been minor traffic violations, the latest of which was 3 years ago. My only "crime" is being a Christian who is willing to speak truth and exercise the rights given to me by Almighty God and guaranteed by the Constitution, and being a patriotic American citizen who will stand up for liberty in the face of persecution that could bring me a long prison sentence or death at the hands of demon possessed despots. I WILL NOT BE INTIMIDATED INTO SILENCE by evil people who lust for despotic control over We the People.

I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.

Bob Russell

Claremore, Oklahoma

October 11, 2022

Mounting Evidence Suggests FBI Planned and instigated the Capitol Riothttps://patriotcommandcenter.org/forum/mounting-evidence-suggests-fbi-planned-and-instigated-the-capitol2021-07-04T14:35:55.000Z2021-07-04T14:35:55.000ZRonald A. Many individuals believe the MAGA movement is not responsible for the riot.
Senate Republicans earlier this month voted to subpoena dozens of people as part of a sprawling investigation into the government’s surveillance of the Trump campaign.

Many of the witnesses are well known to the public: James Comey, Andrew McCabe, and John Brennan, just to name a few.

But several others not as well known to the public played key roles in the FBI’s probe of the Trump campaign.

The multiple investigations of the U.S. government’s intelligence-gathering activities against the Trump campaign have typically focused on the actions of the same small group of former officials: James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, John Brennan, James Clapper and a few others.

But just as significant to the efforts to get to the bottom of the government’s Trump-related surveillance are a handful of current and former FBI and Justice Department employees whose names are not as well known to the public.

The Senate Judiciary Committee voted to subpoena up to 53 current and former government employees as part of a sprawling investigating into the origins of Crossfire Hurricane. The Senate Homeland and Government Affairs Committee voted to subpoena another 35 individuals, some of whom are on the Judiciary panel’s list.

The investigations occur against the backdrop of a probe that U.S. Attorney John Durham is leading into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe. Durham is reportedly investigated some of the information revealed in a Justice Department inspector general’s report that said the FBI made at least 17 “significant” errors and omissions in applications for Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants against Carter Page.

Attorney General William Barr has said that Durham’s investigation is looking into potential criminal wrongdoing.

Some of the FBI and DOJ employees discussed in the IG report are identified as pseudonyms. But the subpoenas from Senate Republicans provides clues as to who some of those FBI and Justice Department employees are.

The Daily Caller News Foundation has identified eight individuals on those lists who were key figures in the Trump-Russia probe.

Steve Somma, David Laufman, Stuart Evans, Brian Auten, Joseph Pientka, Jonathan Moffa, Sean Newell and Kevin Clinesmith.

Judge Emmet Sullivan has created a dumpster fire of the Michael Flynn case in his desperation to keep it afloat awhile and cloud the issue of the FBI having targeted Flynn inappropriately.

Sullivan created the dumpster fire when he refused to dismiss the case despite both the defense and the prosecution moving to dismiss. Instead, Sullivan opened the door to amicus briefing, and appointed a retired judge, John Gleeson who already had shown a bias in the case, to write a brief on opposing the DOJ motion and opine on whether Flynn should be charged with perjury for pleading guilty to begin, allegedly under duress from the state.

Opening it up to such filings seemed to be completely political to give a platform to attack Flynn, President Donald Trump, and the DOJ, while obscuring the targeting by the FBI and the lack of predicate for a criminal case they had to begin with.

If that wasn’t already insane enough, now House Democrats, political opponents of Flynn and people who hate him are now being allowed to weigh in on whether to dismiss his case. This is insanely improper, it basically has Sullivan with the advice of Gleeson, both acting as judge and ‘prosecutor.’

How do they try to argue around what the FBI did to Flynn? They argue the DOJ’s request to dismiss is what’s improper and a sign of “corruption.”

WASHINGTON — Ex-FBI Director James Comey and dozens of other Obama-era officials could soon be hauled before Congress after the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday gave Chairman Lindsey Graham unilateral subpoena powers as part of his review into the Mueller probe.

The committee on Thursday voted along party lines to give Graham (R-SC) the authority to subpoena more than 50 mostly Obama administration officials as part of the GOP-led review, including Comey, ex-CIA Director John Brennan and former national security adviser Susan Rice, among others.

Democrats on the committee accused Republicans of doing President Trump’s bidding ahead of the November election and grew frustrated when their requests to subpoena their own witnesses, including Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner, were continually knocked down.

“The fact that you are turning down every single relevant witness tells us and tells the world this is an irrelevant investigation,” said Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.).

“This is stacked, my friends,” he added.

Democrats also argued that the review was unnecessary because it would be going over the same ground as a probe by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz that found the origins of the FBI’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election were littered with errors.

The case of Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn is inevitably heading toward its conclusion. While the presiding district judge, Emmet Sullivan, is trying to keep it going, there’s only so much he can do, chiefly because there’s nobody left to prosecute the case after the Department of Justice (DOJ) dropped it last month.

In the latest developments, the District of Columbia appeals court set a hearing in the case on June 12, while the DOJ’s solicitor general himself, as well as five of his deputies, urged the court to order the lower-court judge to accept the case dismissal.

“I cannot overstate how big of a deal this is,” commented appellate attorney John Reeves, former assistant Missouri attorney general, in a series of tweets on June 1.

Personal involvement of the solicitor general “is highly unusual and rare,” he said.

“Unusual” seems a fitting euphemism for the Flynn case, which has been filled with contradictions, falsehoods, apparent blunders, extraordinary moves, and strange coincidences.

The Epoch Times has so far counted 85 such instances.

Flynn, former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency during the Obama administration and former national security adviser to President Donald Trump, pleaded guilty on Dec. 1, 2017, to one count of lying to FBI agents during a Jan. 24, 2017, interview.

The FBI officially opened an investigation on Flynn on Aug. 16, 2016, based on a suspicion that he “may wittingly or unwittingly be involved in activity on behalf of the Russian Federation which may constitute a federal crime or threat to the national security.”

What activity? The case was opened under a broader investigation into whether the Trump 2016 presidential campaign conspired with Russia to steal emails from the Democratic National Committee and release them through Wikileaks.

Flynn was an adviser to the campaign at the time.

Notes and emails that have been kept so far from Senate investigators show the FBI knew from its earliest interactions with Christopher Steele in July 2016 that his Russia research project on Donald Trump was connected to Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party.

The information, so far mentioned only glancingly and in footnotes of a Justice Department report, could provide the Senate Judiciary Committee with the most powerful evidence yet to confront witnesses about why the bureau concealed the political origins of Steele’s work from the FISA court.

“So far the bureau is slow-walking this stuff,” a source familiar with senators’ frustrations told Just the News. “We need to see these sort of documents before we question key witnesses.”

Chairman Lindsay Graham (R-S.C.) is seeking a vote later this week to authorize subpoenas that would compel the Christopher Wray-led FBI to produce witnesses and outstanding documents for the committee's investigation of the Russia investigators.

The effort to acquire the original source materials began last December after DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz released his explosive report blaming the FBI for 17 mistakes, omissions and acts of misconduct in seeking a FISA warrant against Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein admitted on Wednesday there was no evidence of collusion by August of 2017. Despite the evidence not supporting the allegation the Trump campaign colluded with Russians to influence the 2016 election, he allowed the investigation to continue for another year and a half.

The bombshell admission came during a heated hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, which is investigating wrongdoing during the F.B.I.’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation that led to the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

“The whole concept, that the campaign was colluding with the Russians, there was no ‘there’ there in August of 2017, do you agree or not?” Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., asked Mr. Rosenstein.

“I agree with the general statement,” he replied.

The concession was just one of many that came during the hearing. On several occasions, he admitted having little knowledge about the F.B.I. probe. He also through other actors under the bus, claiming that fired former F.B.I. Deputy Director Andrew McCabe “was not fully candid with me” regarding bureau proceedings.

Judge Emmet Sullivan has delivered his response in the Michael Flynn case to the writ of mandamus. He tapped an outside attorney to make his case for him, something that is apparently highly unusual under these circumstances, where both parties are asking for a dismissal after new evidence of FBI malfeasance came to light. If this judge can’t make his own arguments and decisions, why is he on the case?

The Democrats’ “Russian collusion” crusade was never about national security — and now the American people are finally learning the truth.

Contrary to the protestations of Obama administration officials and their allies in the mainstream media, the collusion narrative was designed to accomplish the following objectives: first, to discourage voters from supporting Donald Trump in 2016; second, in the event that Hillary Clinton won the election, to ruin Donald Trump personally and destroy his business professionally; and third, to serve as a so-called “insurance policy” to remove President Trump from office.

1. The truth about Russian interference

According to the newly declassified testimony from Crowdstrike and the testimony of the former Obama national security officials, there is no clear evidence of a focused Russian effort to favor any single political candidate in the 2016 election.

2. The real Russian collusion

The only evidence of collusion with Moscow was the Christopher Steele dossier — a document that contained Russian intelligence deception and was financed by the Clinton Campaign and the DNC.

3. The FBI’s dirty tricks

After almost four years, the FBI has finally been exposed for spying on the Trump campaign. Christopher Wray has remained silent since his appointment as director of FBI.

Richard Grenell, the former Acting Director of National Intelligence, said in an interview with Mark Levin on Wednesday that when looking at the Russia collusion hoax and related anti-Trump actions taken by the FBI and other agencies under President Obama, "there is no possible way" this "wasn’t known inside the White House."

On the May 27 nationally syndicated Mark Levin Show, host Mark Levin asked Grenell, “My question to you is this: I’ve read the declassified information. It’s very significant. It goes to very high levels, some of the information we’re talking about. Is it possible, really, that top officials at the White House – you have top officials at the White House participating in some of this – is it really possible that a president of the United States wouldn’t have some sense of what’s taking place in his administration when you have an FBI, the CIA, an NSA, when you have newspaper articles about the FISA court, leaks going – is it really possible, Rick Grenell, with all your experience and knowledge, that a president wouldn’t know at least the general parameters of what’s taking place?”

After the election they made up their minds that they were going to sabotage the Trump presidency” said KT McFarland referring to members of the Obama administration. McFarland served as Deputy National Security Advisor under Michael Flynn for the first four months of Trump’s presidency and was in meetings with Flynn and outgoing national security adviser Susan Rice during the transition period between the Obama and Trump administrations.

McFarland went on Fox Business to set the record straight about the recently released email Susan Rice wrote to herself on Friday January 20, 2017, the very day of President Trump’s inauguration. Rice’s letter was written at the alleged request of White House counsel to provide details of a meeting that took place on January 5, 2017. In attendance at the January 5 meeting was President Obama, Vice President Biden, FBI Director Jim Comey, Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, and Rice.

Rice’s email repeatedly stressed ad nauseam that President Obama stressed “his continued commitment to ensuring” that everything was handled “by the Intelligence and law enforcement communities ‘by the book.” McFarland says otherwise, determining that Rice’s email was written because “she knew they had done something very, very wrong.”

John Dowd, one of the lead lawyers who represented President Trump during Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian collusion, said Tuesday that the special counsel engineered a perjury trap for Trump in the exact same way that James Comey’s FBI invented a trap for former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.

“Mueller’s scheme was the same one captured in the (newly released) FBI set-up notes pertaining to Flynn. They knew they had nothing, but using their official power they created and perpetuated the facade of an investigation,” said Dowd.

In an extensive interview on Tuesday, Dowd explained to me how his commitment of cooperation and transparency in dealing with Mueller was eventually turned against the president, as the special counsel “misled” Trump’s legal team in order to manufacture a crime where none existed.

According to Dowd, Mueller learned early in his investigation that there was no evidence of Trump-Russia collusion to influence the 2016 presidential election. He admitted it during a meeting with the president’s lawyers on March 5, 2018. So, Mueller shifted to a legally contorted interpretation of obstruction of justice in order to keep his investigation afloat.

FBI investigators said they no longer believe a second person was involved in the shooting last week at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi that left a sailor wounded as the gunman attempted to speed passed a security gate onto the Texas base.

“At this time, there is no imminent threat to the public safety of the Corpus Christi community,” according to a FBI statement issued Tuesday evening.

Hours after the shooting Thursday, the FBI said investigators believed there was a second person of interest at large in the community who might have been connected to 20-year-old Adam Salim Alsahli and his attempt to gain access to the base.

The investigation has determined no other person was involved in the attack, though evidence “points to the shooting being a terror-related incident,” the FBI said, without providing additional details. FBI investigators have been examining social media posts that they believe were made by Alsahli that show support for groups such as al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula, according to an AP report.

New evidence suggests that a former top staffer for Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) may be directing the post-election efforts of Fusion GPS, a Democrat-linked political opposition research firm, to vindicate a series of memos alleging illegal collusion between the Donald Trump campaign and Russian officials.

Congressional documents and recently leaked texts between Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) and a registered foreign agent for a Russian aluminum oligarch indicate that Daniel J. Jones is intimately involved with ongoing efforts to retroactively validate a series of salacious and unverified memos produced by Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence agent, and Fusion GPS. The dossier, which declassified documents show was used as a basis for securing secret wiretaps on Trump campaign affiliates, was reportedly jointly funded by the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

Jones, a former Feinstein staffer who wrote a controversial top-secret report on alleged torture by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), currently runs the Penn Quarter Group, which bills itself as a “research and investigative advisory” and is inconspicuously named after the downtown Washington DC neighborhood where its office is located. Jones was intensively spied on by the CIA during his multi-year congressional investigation of the agency’s interrogation practices, providing an ironic prelude to U.S. intelligence agencies’ use of an unverified dossier produced by Jones’s post-election compatriots as a pretext to spy on their political opponents in 2016.

Jones did not respond to requests by The Federalist to describe the extent of his work with Fusion GPS or Steele. Representatives of Fusion GPS also refused to respond to requests for information on the firm’s work with Jones and Penn Quarter Group.

The former Feinstein staffer’s participation in ongoing efforts to retroactively validate the dossier was first publicly hinted at in January in several inquiry letters from Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) to various Democratic party leaders who were likely responsible for funding Fusion GPS’s 2016 dossier work, including John Podesta, Donna Brazile, and Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

“Understanding the extent of the DNC’s knowledge of, and interactions with, Mr. Steele and others involved in Fusion GPS’s work is essential to this inquiry,” the two senators wrote. “In light of this, by February 8, 2018, please answer the following questions and provide the following requested documents.” The twelfth item the lawmakers requested, which appears to be the first time Jones’s name was publicly mentioned in connection with the dossier, was all communications between the letters’ recipients and a host of characters involved with the dossier and its financing, creation, and dissemination:

For the period from March 2016 through January 2017, please provide all communications to, from, copying, or relating to: Fusion GPS; Bean LLC; Glenn Simpson; Mary Jacoby; Peter Fritsch; Tom Catan; Jason Felch; Neil King; David Michaels; Taylor Sears; Patrick Corcoran; Laura Sego; Jay Bagwell; Erica Castro; Nellie Ohr; Rinat Akhmetshin; Ed Lieberman; Edward Baumgartner; Orbis Business Intelligence Limited; Orbis Business International Limited.; Walsingham Training Limited; Walsingham Partners Limited; Christopher Steele; Christopher Burrows; Sir Andrew Wood, Paul Hauser;4 Oleg Deripaska; Cody Shearer; Sidney Blumenthal; Jon Winer; Kathleen Kavalec; Victoria Nuland; Daniel Jones; Bruce Ohr; Peter Strzok; Andrew McCabe; James Baker; Sally Yates; Loretta Lynch; John Brennan.

The grouping of the names is a story in itself: the first 15 names (through Nellie Ohr) are those of Fusion GPS’s principals and key staff in 2016; the next 12 (through Deripaska) are connected to Steele and a Russian oligarch sanctioned by the United States, the next two (Shearer and Blumenthal) are longtime Clinton hangers-on who reportedly wrote and disseminated their own dossier of unverified allegations; the next three are key Obama-era State Department officials who likely spread allegations about the Trump campaign throughout the government; then Jones; the next six are top Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) or Department of Justice (DOJ) officials who used the dossier to secure secret wiretaps on Trump affiliates; and the final name belongs to Obama’s CIA director.

To those who have closely followed the dossier saga, all but one of those names was familiar. The inclusion of Jones, who appears to have no meaningful public or social media profile beyond his association with the so-called CIA torture report and who had never before been publicly mentioned in connection with the Steele dossier and Fusion GPS, was noteworthy.

Prior to founding Penn Quarter group, Jones spent nearly nine years working on Capitol Hill, where he was one of Feinstein’s top investigators on the Senate Intelligence Committee. He also worked at the FBI from 2003 to 2007 and did a short stint working for a lobbying firm run by former Democratic Senate leader Tom Daschle, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Congressional records show that Jones left his congressional job on December 4, 2015. He achieved significant acclaim in that role as the author of an explosive Senate report on alleged illegal torture of terrorists by America’s intelligence agencies. Feinstein profusely praised Jones by name from the Senate floor the day before his official departure, a rare honor generally reserved only for individuals with extremely close relationships with lawmakers.

When contemplating the malign activity of Rod Rosenstein; and how angered President Trump is with former AG Jeff Sessions; it is worth remembering that Sessions requested Rod Rosenstein as his deputy, and then immediately thereafter Sessions recused himself, effectively positioning Rosenstein to run the operation against President Trump.

That’s the background context for a great interview by Gregg Jarrett where Jarrett walks through the timeline of events with former HPSCI Chairman Devin Nunes. At the 5:30 point of the interview, Nunes identifies Rosenstein as part of the coup attempt and blasts him for how Rosenstein structured the fraudulent scope memos.

Nunes says his investigation is now looking at the part of the effort where Robert Mueller’s investigation was used as part of the initiating effort to remove President Trump. With the focus on the Mueller team, Nunes is now making additional criminal referrals based on his findings.

t’s worth remembering Sharyl Attkisson has identified Rosenstein as a defendant in her lawsuit about illegal surveillance operations carried out while she was a CBS reporter.

According to the lawsuit (full pdf) Rod Rosenstein, as the U.S. Attorney for Maryland, was in charge of the Obama 2011 and 2012 operation to monitor journalists specific to Ms. Attkisson’s reporting on Fast-n-Furious and Benghazi.

Former DOJ Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein is named in the Attkisson lawsuit as the person who was in charge of the operation; and the former head of the FBI DC field office, Shawn Henry is also outlined.

Mr. Henry is the head of Crowdstrike, a contractor for the government and a politically connected data security and forensic company. Those who have followed the aspects related to the FBI use of the NSA database to illegally monitor U.S. persons; and those who followed the DNC cover story of Russia “hacking”; will be familiar with Crowdstrike.

What I find additionally interesting is the overall timeline in the bigger picture.

In the April 2017 release from FISC Judge Rosemary Collyer outlining the abuses of the FISA-702 process by FBI “contractors”, where the NSA database was being use for unlawful surveillance of U.S. persons, Collyer specifically noted the findings of her review of the period from November ’15 to May ’16 (85% non compliant rate) was likely to have been happening since 2012.
Late last week the FBI document that started the Trump-Russia collusion fiasco was publicly released. It hasn’t received a lot of attention but it should, because not too long from now this document likely will be blown up and placed on an easel as Exhibit A in a federal courtroom.

The prosecutor, U.S. Attorney John Durham, will rightly point out that the document that spawned three years of political misery fails to articulate a single justifiable reason for starting the “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation.

Those of us who have speculated there was insufficient cause for beginning the investigation could not have imagined the actual opening document was this feeble. It is as if it were written by someone who had no experience as an FBI agent.

Keep in mind the FBI cannot begin to investigate anyone, especially a U.S. citizen or entity, without first creating a document that lists the reasonably suspicious factors that would legally justify the investigation. That’s FBI 101, taught Day 1 at the FBI Academy at Quantico, Va.

To the untrained eye, the FBI document that launched Crossfire Hurricane can be confusing, and it may be difficult to discern how it might be inadequate. To the trained eye, however, it is a train wreck. There are a number of reasons why it is so bad. Two main ones are offered below (if you would like to follow along, the document is here):

First, the document is oddly constructed. In a normal, legitimate FBI Electronic Communication, or EC, there would be a “To” and a “From” line. The Crossfire Hurricane EC has only a “From” line; it is from a part of the FBI’s Counterintelligence Division whose contact is listed as Peter Strzok. The EC was drafted also by Peter Strzok. And, finally, it was approved by Peter Strzok. Essentially, it is a document created by Peter Strzok, approved by Peter Strzok, and sent from Peter Strzok to Peter Strzok.

On that basis alone, the document is an absurdity, violative of all FBI protocols and, therefore, invalid on its face. An agent cannot approve his or her own case; that would make a mockery of the oversight designed to protect Americans. Yet, for this document, Peter Strzok was pitcher, catcher, batter and umpire.

In addition, several names are listed in a “cc” or copy line; all are redacted, save Strzok’s, who, for some reason, felt it necessary to copy himself on a document he sent from himself to himself.

Republicans are broadening their investigation into special counsel Robert Mueller as the Obamagate controversy heats up.

Rep. Devin Nunes, the ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee, said fresh criminal referrals are imminent as more people come forward with information about what Trump allies view to have been a plot to undermine the president.

"We’ve also expanded our investigation into the Mueller team and everything that happened with Mueller and the people at DOJ and FBI that were above Mueller. And so, we will be making criminal referrals in the coming weeks against the Mueller team. We're just now putting that together and, of course, as always, waiting on more documents that we really need to come out," the California congressman told Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett on Witch Hunt: The Flynn Vindication, a special program that aired Sunday evening.

It has been more than a year since Mueller wrapped up his special counsel investigation. His team was unable to find a criminal conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia, but it did lay out 10 instances of possible obstruction of justice that Democrats seized on as a road map to impeachment. The investigation also led to convictions and guilty pleas from Trump associates over charges unrelated to Russia collusion. Trump and many of his allies have long derided the inquiry as a "witch hunt," and there is now an effort underway by the Justice Department to seek out any misconduct by the investigators.

Nunes says Mueller should have shut down his investigation right away, arguing that the former FBI director knew from the day he became special counsel in May 2017 that there was no coordination between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin.

An accused terrorist who allegedly opened fire on United States Navy personnel in Corpus Christi, Texas, was able to secure American citizenship through a little-known immigration loophole, a former intelligence agent states.

Adam Alsahli, a 20-year-old naturalized American citizen, has been identified by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as the alleged terrorist who attempted to speed through a gate at the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi (NASCC) on May 21.

The FBI says Alsahli shot at a female sailor who was then able to prevent him from getting onto the NASCC base by raising a vehicle barrier. At that point, the FBI says Alsahi got out of his vehicle to fire more gunshots but was killed by security guards.

The Center for Immigration Studies’ Todd Bensman, a former intelligence agent, reports that Alsahi was able to secure American citizenship through a little-known immigration loophole that depended on his father’s naturalized citizenship:

Adam Alsahli, 20 at the time of his death Thursday, was already a U.S. citizen when he moved from the Middle East to Corpus Christi, Texas, in 2014 with his mother (and likely several siblings) at the height of the Syrian civil war, by virtue of his father’s American citizenship, according to two sources familiar with the family’s immigration status. The attacker’s 75-year-old father, Salim Alsahli, became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1984, the sources told CIS, and subsequently seems to have sired a family back in Syria that included Adam Alsahli’s birth in 1999. [Emphasis added]

Although his children and their mother were born in and resided in the Middle East, the father’s U.S. citizenship conferred U.S. citizenship on Adam Alsahli, since he properly registered a declaration at a U.S. embassy or consulate office overseas. That apparently happened with Adam Alsahli because by the age of three, in the year 2002, [Alsahli] was granted an American passport that was repeatedly renewed over the years, sources said. [Emphasis added]

Barack Obama warned his successor against hiring Michael Flynn. It was Nov. 10, 2016, just two days after Donald Trump upset Hillary Clinton to become the 45th president of the United States. Trump told aide Hope Hicks that he was bewildered by the president’s warning. Of all the important things Obama could have discussed with him, the outgoing commander in chief wanted to talk about Michael Flynn.

The question of why Obama was so focused on Flynn is especially revealing now. The Department of Justice recently filed to withdraw charges against the retired three-star general for making false statements to the FBI in a Jan. 24, 2017, interview regarding a phone call with a Russian diplomat. The circumstances surrounding the call and subsequent FBI interview have given rise to a vast conspiracy theory that was weaponized to imprison a decorated war hero and a strategic thinker whose battlefield innovations saved countless American lives. There is no evidence that Flynn “colluded” with Russia, and the evidence that Flynn did not make false statements to the FBI has been buried by the bureau, including current Director Christopher Wray.

So if the Obama administration wasn’t alarmed by Flynn’s nonexistent ties to Russia, why was he Obama’s No. 1 target? Why were officials from the previous administration intercepting his phone calls with the Russian ambassador?

The answer is that Obama saw Flynn as a signal threat to his legacy, which was rooted in his July 2015 nuclear agreement with Iran—the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Flynn had said long before he signed on with the Trump campaign that it was a catastrophe to realign American interests with those of a terror state. And now that the candidate he’d advised was the new president-elect, Flynn was in a position to help undo the deal. To stop Flynn, the outgoing White House ran the same offense it used to sell the Iran deal—they smeared Flynn through the press as an agent of a foreign power, spied on him, and leaked classified intercepts of his conversations to reliable echo chamber allies.

In March 2017, after seeing evidence of the Obama administration’s surveillance of Trump associates, Congressman Devin Nunes said it had nothing to do with Russia or the FBI’s ongoing Russia investigation, or similar Russia probes conducted by congressional committees. Nunes’ contention was difficult to make sense of at the time. Wasn’t everything about Russia and whether or not there was, as Congressman Adam Schiff said, more than circumstantial evidence of collusion?

In fact, as Trump prepared to take office after his 2016 upset victory, the Obama White House was focused on the Middle East. “Russia collusion” was the narrative that Hillary Clinton operatives seeded in the media and fed to the FBI to obtain a warrant to spy on the Trump campaign. After the election, the Obama team took it over and used it to hobble the incoming administration.

That Obama has publicly criticized the Justice Department’s decision to withdraw its case against the retired general shows how personal the anti-Flynn campaign still is for the former president. In leaking his supposedly off-hand comments to Michael Isikoff, a journalist whose work was central in pushing the Trump-Russia collusion conspiracy theory, Obama was effectively taking credit for pushing the larger anti-Trump operation that grew out of the anti-Flynn campaign. While the Russia collusion story was a handy instrument for many to advance all manner of personal and political interests, for Obama the purpose of Russiagate was simple and direct: to protect the Iran deal, and secure his legacy.

Obama and his foreign policy team were hardly the only people in Washington who had their knives out for Michael Flynn. Nearly everyone did, especially the FBI. As former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Pentagon’s spy service, and a career intelligence officer, Flynn knew how and where to find the documentary evidence of the FBI’s illegal spying operation buried in the agency’s classified files—and the FBI had reason to be terrified of the new president’s anger.

The United States Intelligence Community (USIC) as a whole was against the former spy chief, who was promising to conduct a Beltway-wide audit that would force each of the agencies to justify their missions. Flynn told friends and colleagues he was going to make the entire senior intelligence service hand in their resignations and then detail why their work was vital to national security. Flynn knew the USIC well enough to know that thousands of higher-level bureaucrats wouldn’t make the cut.

Flynn had enemies at the very top of the intelligence bureaucracy. In 2014, he’d been fired as DIA head. Under oath in February of that year, he told the truth to a Senate committee—ISIS was not, as the president had said, a “JV team.” They were a serious threat to American citizens and interests and were getting stronger. Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence Michael Vickers then summoned Flynn to the Pentagon and told him he was done.

“Flynn’s warnings that extremists were regrouping and on the rise were inconvenient to an administration that didn’t want to hear any bad news,” says former DIA analyst Oubai Shahbandar. “Flynn’s prophetic warnings would play out exactly as he’d warned shortly after he was fired.”

Flynn’s firing appeared to be an end to one of the most remarkable careers in recent American intelligence history. He made his name during the Bush administration’s wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, where soldiers in the field desperately needed intelligence, often collected by other combat units. But there was a clog in the pipeline—the Beltway’s intelligence bureaucracy, which had a stranglehold over the distribution of intelligence.

The FBI's probe into whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia was opened on a third-hand "suggestion" of wrongdoing and the thinnest of suspicions that illegal foreign lobbying had occurred, according to a declassified memo released Friday that shows agents immediately flagged the strong limitations of their evidence.

The July 31, 2016 electronic communication that officially open the counterintelligence investigation codenamed Crossfire Hurricane was obtained by the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch.

It shows the criminal basis for opening the probe was suspected violations of the Foreign Agent Registration Act, but it did not identify a single episode that it said violated the law.

Rather it focused on a "suggestion" passed on by Australian ambassador Alexander Downer that Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos might be coordinating with Russia the release of damaging information about Hillary Clinton.

Downer had heard the information about the Russians during a bar conversation in May 2016 from Papadopoulos, who had heard it two months earlier from a European professor who had heard it from Russians allegedly.

The FBI announced Friday that Director Chris Wray has ordered an internal review of the handling of the bureau’s investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn, which will include examining whether current FBI employees "engaged in misconduct."

“FBI Director Christopher Wray today ordered the Bureau’s Inspection Division to conduct an after-action review of the Michael Flynn investigation,” the bureau said in a statement.

The review will be handled by the bureau’s Inspection Division, the FBI said. That division is similar to an internal affairs office in a police department.

The bureau said the “after-action review” will have a two-fold purpose: evaluating the FBI’s role in the case and determining whether any “current employees engaged in misconduct,” as well as identifying whether any “improvements” might be warranted to FBI procedures.

The drip-drip-drip of newly declassified documents related to the Trump-Russia investigation, together with recent reports that a classified leak against former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn might not have come from an unmasking request, leaves little doubt that the Obama administration weaponized federal surveillance laws to target Trump associates and undermine the incoming administration.

The story thus far is complex, but it reveals a disturbing abuse of power by the Obama administration that suggests congressional reform of federal surveillance laws is needed to ensure this never happens again.

The latest declassified document, an email written by former White House National Security Adviser Susan Rice detailing a high-level Oval Office meeting on January 5, 2017, directly implicates then-President Obama and other top officials in the targeting of Flynn, including then-Vice President Joe Biden and fired Federal Bureau of Investigations Director James Comey.

According to Rice’s bizarre email, which she wrote to herself as President Trump was being inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2017, Comey told Obama and Biden he had “some concerns that incoming NSA Flynn is speaking frequently with Russian Ambassador Kislyak,” and that “the level of communication is unusual.” How did Comey know this? Because the FBI had been spying on Flynn as part of a counterintelligence investigation it launched in August 2016.

Obama Admin Distorted FISA Beyond Recognition

Proponents of FISA likely never imagined that warrants for electronic surveillance or unmasking requests might be used by an outgoing administration to spy on an incoming one, but that appears to be what happened in the Trump-Russia investigation and the targeting of Flynn.

We’ll likely know more soon. Sens. Johnson and Grassley have since expanded their request, calling for the release of records related to the unmasking of Trump campaign affiliates by Obama officials from January 2016 to January 2017. The senators say they’re concerned that surveillance of the Trump campaign began long before the FBI launched its counterintelligence investigation, Crossfire Hurricane, which became the basis for the Robert Mueller probe and years of conspiracy theories about Trump colluding with Russia.
