Feds Step in to Prosecute Criminal Rioters in Portland as Local DA Stands Down

The Department of Justice announced on Thursday that it will prosecute 74 people for crimes committed during violent protests that have occurred nightly in Portland, Oregon, since May 29.

The press release for the announcement said:

On many nights, after peaceful demonstrations end, various public and private buildings have been the target of vandalism and destructionLocal, state, and federal law enforcement working to protect these buildings and ensure the safety of peaceful demonstrators have been subjected to threats and assaults from violent agitators while performing their duties.

U.S. Attorney Billy J. Williams said:

Violent agitators have hijacked any semblance of First Amendment protected activity, engaging in violent criminal acts and destruction of public safety. The U.S. Attorney’s Office and our federal law enforcement partners are expeditiously working with local and state law enforcement to identify, arrest, and prosecute these individuals that are disrupting the rule of law in our communities and physically attacking our law enforcement officers and destroying property.

“Violent agitators not only delay real reform, but make our community less safe by keeping law enforcement from responding to other critical calls for service,” Williams said.

Excuse me if I vomit over this piece of propaganda... the US Attorney is months late and expects us to believe he is interested in actually indicting the power behind the insurrection and riots. Federal Laws were broken from the get go... civil rights have been denied by politicians and judges.... Are they going to be arrested and charged? If not , why not?

Fire the US Attorney NOW... he has failed in his duty to protect and serve the Public in his Federal District... he did nothing until pres. Trump ordered him to act. He should not need to have the President tell him to put down insurrrection, riots of this scale and veracity. This US Attoreny must be removed and never given a job in government again.

  All of which goes to the point that, without good, honest and ethical lawyers, judges and prosecutors, no amount of new legislation or law will solve this persistent and stubborn problem. But I must agree that one of Trump's biggest errors of omission was not requesting the resignation of the entire US Attorney's roster immediately after inauguration, and starting all over from scratch.

  Agreed...he can still do that today if he will... it raises the question why? Why hasn't he appointed strong conservative law and order types to all US Attorney positions... he even allowed the US Attorney in the Southern District of NY to remain in office while he pursued Pres. Trump with the intent to remove the president from office.... how did that happen? Trump is getting horrible advice on running his law an order efforts... clean out all US Attorneys, remove all appointed DOJ and FBI officials... and fire all the senior FBI who even appeared to know what was happening and did nothing... FBI ethical standards need to be rehabbed and those who have violated them fired not just demoted or administratively disciplined.

I guess that puts to bed the media's lying narrative that there are no leaders of these depraved rioters, they are complicit in this insurrection as well all soros and obama. Amazing how all these petulent children all came together to loot, burn, murder, and destroy. You almost have to wonder if twitter is not complicit, these azzclownz had to contact each other with logistics somehow. Maybe twitter censors were too busy trying to take down Trump positive tweets.

Why wasn't the local DA arrested, he is complicit in this nationwide insurrection. Anyone with 2 brain cells know that all these rioter's leaders are all taking their marching orders from obama and soros.

If you keep hiding your head up obama's azz you will never get this under control, he and soros are the problem.

So what should be the FIRST thing that Law Enforcement does AFTER making these arrests? Go directly to the home or office of the city officials who enable these protesters and refuse to protect the innocent citizens and business owners, and arrest THEM! By failing to call their State Guard or request that the President engage the National Guard, they are aiding and abetting the street crimes, which now include Looting, Assault, Destruction of Property, Arson, Blocking Roads (Interfering with Interstate Commerce), Menacing, and MURDER.

There were no lawful and peaceful demonstrations... seriously doubt any of the demonstrations were properly permitted, bounded and insured... or that the demonstrators remained civil, restrained from intimidation, and other forms of lawlessness... we know they did not remove their trash.
