Georgia law requires that the state notify voters if it rejects their ballots. They can also check the Secretary of State's My Voter Page for confirmation.

So, Democratic volunteers (or republican) can go door to door and tell people to check with the website, if they haven’t got a notification from the state (given who controls the election, I can see them not notifying voters Democratic leaning areas.

What would be illegal about having voters check if their vote counted?

  • I have heard on MSNBC that Arizona voters of both parties are in line waiting to cure their ballots.

  •  I asked on Quora about this issue, and everyone said that it's legal for both parties to tell their voters how to cure their ballots.  Below is one answer

Yes, it is for both Democrats and Republicans to have a voter cure their ballot if that’s required. Thisis a very strong check agaisnt actual fraud.

We need to ponder the situation very carefully for just a second.

The registrar has received a ballot wher the signature on the ballot appears not to match the signature on the voter registration card.

One of two things could have happened.

    1. A differnt person signed the ballot than the person who signed the voter registration card. We call this VOTER FRAUD. It’s a felony. We should investigate it.
    2. The same perosn signed both documetns to, but a 1978 signature of a 20 year old voter has, over time, evolved into a frail signature of a Parkinson’s patient. Or, a married woman signed the ballot with a married name while the voter card had her maiden name. In all these and similar cases, the same person signed both, but the signatures may not appear to be the same. What to do?

What to do? The answer is the same to both situations. Call the voter into the office. If there’s fraud, prosecute it. If the same voter signed both, then the vote is “cured” and should be counted. That;s exactly wha tthe registrar does — contact the voter at the address on the ballot.

The signature discrepancy issue is non-partisan and the voter should be allowed to demonstrate that they had indeed signed their ballot.

It’s not a penmanship contest. It’s a Voter ID issue and there’s nothing at all nefarious about it. I encourage any Republican voters to also cure their ballots if necessary. Everybody’s vote should count. This isn’t a hard concept.

  • I gather that the Georgia voters in question had sent in their absentee ballots before the deadline, but they were rejected due to a missing or mismatched signature.  However, they can legally correct the error before 5 PM on Nov 6, by submitting a simple affadavit.  Do you believe that people should be denied the right to vote due to an easily correctable error?

  • This is the worst thing that ever happened in my lifetime. There is no way President Trump could have lost with the support he had leading up to the election. I say we refuse to accept the results if he isn't declared the winner. I am 79 years old and have never been more disappointed in my country. God help us. I sure hope he wins.

    • All the polls had Biden way ahead.  Also, Trump has been below 50% in the polls for his entire Presidency, so its inaccurate to say that Trump had overwhelming support before the election.  Kudos to Trump for making the election much closer than the polls had predicted.  The talking heads have credited his rallies for getting him close.  They also credit Trump's stronger than expected support among Hispanics.

    • Who can trust the liberal poll??

    • Timothy, you are referring to fake polls that the fake news organized before the election. They showed Biden ahead by 7-12%. How close to these polls was the election? - Yeah, you know the answer and you can draw your own conclusion.

  • I'm Hispanic and I voted for President Trump and hope he doesn't surrender because he is my president and no one else. Millions of Trump votes were destroyed their is no way Americans want a socialist government. Remember how they have been with him since day one. Trump supporters time to protest and show the real America.
