This idiot has never heard of 'Impeachment' or 'Article 5' of the Constitution... both are means to remove a sitting President. Next, our founding fathers never intended the Federal Government to have such unilateral power permitting it to dictate to the states the conditions of their servitude. The several States were to ELECT the President and VP using the Electoral system as found in the Constitution. Should there be no candidate with a clear majority of Electors the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES ELECTS THE PRESIDENT based on ONE VOTE from Each State Deligation. Hardly democratic... and not necessary as the states were to have the main role in government ... not the overreaching unconstitutional federal government.
Our Union and its Republic have been saddled with an overreaching Federal Government... We need to return to Constitutional Government. We do not need to add more injury to that already done... We need to repeal the 14th and 17th Amendments and return the election of US Senators to the State Legislators and Governement. The Nation needs to remove the supremacy of the Federal Government over State soverignty.... by returning the Federal Government to the limits on its Constitutional Powers... 18 itemized powers and no more. See Article1, Section 8 and 9 of the US Constitution.
The Office of President was never intended to be elected by a direct popular vote... which would give the States with the greatest population control over the federal government and disadvantage the lesser populated States in the UNION. Our Founders were concerned with keeping a balance of power between all parties in the Union... they established the US Senate with 2 Senators per state for the same purpose .... to check the larger states... from hijacking the federal government and the smaller states' soverignty. This idiot and most of his generation.... including our politicians... should understand that the Parliamentary System requires constant compromise to put together and maintain a government. If a compromise can't be reached, the government remains unable to undertake new or urgent initiatives.
We have a Federal System of government, not a parliamentary system... Our States are sovereign and most of the government's powers were to remain with the STATES and local GOVERNMENTS... not with the bloated and unconstitutional federal monster, we have today.

The 10th Amendment was abolished when the Confederacy lost the Civil War!!!!! Since then the federal government has run roughshod over the states and the political machines of both wings of the new world order socialist party have conspired to keep it that way!!!!! Sadly, the party machines control most states also and won't allow We the People to assume our rightful position without an armed rebellion, as our founders found necessary!!!!!!!!!!
Our founding fathers warned of maintaining a standing Army... subservient to the Federal Government... The Federal Government originally relied on the State Militia to provide the means to defend the Union if attacked. Any Federal Standing Military force had and has to be authorized by Congress every two years. If the Federal Government returns the bulk of the Nation's offensive forces to the States, as originally intended, the States would be less threatened by an overbearing Federal Government.
Let's pull the teeth of the Lion in DC... reduce the active duty Army to 4 divisions and corps support elements, cut the Navy back to a 200-ship Navy with one reinforced active duty Marine division, and reduce the active duty Air Force by 50%. Assign all the deactivated units to the State Militia, and the Army, Navy, and Marine Reserves. Return State Control over our military and reassign the professional military to cover critical national security missions, maintenance, and to increased readiness training missions in support of the State militia. Restore the Draft for active, reserve, and national guard requirements... these actions should be seen as essential elements for the safety and secuirty of the People... defending against a rogue federal government.

But that has indeed changed now with Federal overbearance being now percieved, and responded to in State Sovereignty. Look no further for example, than with Texas and Arizona declaring that federal deriliction in its border responsibilities will not be tolerated, and the burden will be shouldered by the states until a responsible Federal government relieves them. With each deceit and neglect of the Federal servant, the State sovereigns will assert more and more previous authority until a showdown of "put up or shut up" will result in federal subordination in intrastate authority in intrastate affairs. As it should be. Barring destabilizing revolutionary abrupt change, time is not on the side of the central statists. IMHO
