In another strange turn of events, Judge Emmet G. Sullivan has invited Michael Flynn’s former defense counsel to appear as interested parties in their former clients ongoing case. Sullivan, who did not agree to drop the charges against Flynn as requested by the Department of Justice, did not specify the purpose for inviting the former lawyers to appear in court.
Sidney Powell, Flynn’s defense counsel, didn’t comment on Sullivan’s invitation to Covington and Burling but she noted in previous filings reported on this news site that the previous counsel provided her client ineffectual representation and unrepresented him in his guilty plea, which was in violation of his 6th Amendment rights.
This turn of events has been just one in a series of bizarre decisions unleashed on Flynn and his defense team by Sullivan. Critics of Sullivan’s strange behavior have accused the judge of acting as a prosecutor and crossing the line of his judicial mandate.

Marty, your original post made no sense to me, so I didn't address who Dr. Bavari was. How would I know that he got his Ph.D from UNO, an excellent school? Do you have ANY idae of how many foreign students go to UNO? In NE I attended Creighton University where there were also many foreign students and professors.
As I understand it, Dr. Bavari isn't the head of the entire USAMRIID, but is the Chief Scientific Officer and Scientific Director. Until recently Col. Carl Shaia was the commander. Now Col. Cox is the commander I believe.
As I'm sure you're aware, the US government employs many foreign citizens. Under US law many high ranking position don't require the person to be a US citizen. I suppose you believe they should be, and I can see a very good argument for that. Dual loyalties can be a concern. Also, perhaps you're concerned because he's a Muslim. Concerning the long and ongoing conflict between Islam and Western Civilization, I can understand such a concern. Of course not every Muslim is an enemy.
As for those "intricate little connections", are you claiming he's connected to the Wuhan outbreak of COVID-19? What does it have with UNO? Do you think he orchestrated it being sent from Ft. Detrick to China? You posted a reference to a site that's very much into wild conspiracy theories including Nazism. So what is arrogant about questioning those conspiracy theories? Is it closed minded to reject such wild theories without proof? The truth is we don't know enough about the origins of the COVID virus. A lot of that is due to the deceptions by China. Yet some want or need to blame the US.

I agree with you many leaders don't love or follow the Constitution as they should. That has been a problem for over 200 years. If you read many of my posts you'd know that my main concern is interpreting the Constitution in an exegetical rather than eisegetical manner. That goes for politicians, judges, and citizens alike, including you and I. I voted for a loud mouthed egotistical bully in 2016 because he said he wanted to restore American to its proper Constitutional Foundations. I won't vote for a SOCIALIST Democrat who wants to gut the Constitution, especially the Bill of Rights. I doubt you will either.
However, I simply don't believe those who claim the COVID-19 was developed in a NAZI scheme at Ft. Detrick. In my opinion they are conspiracists with contempt for the US. They're spouting the propaganda being put out by Communist China. My father, an Army pathologist was stationed there and at the nearby Walter Reed Armed Forces Institute of Pathology after we got back from Germany. So I think I'm more familiar with what went on there than some tin foil hat wearing conspiracist.
If you recall, in the last debate with Clinton, when asked what type judges he'd appoint to the SCOTUS, he said he'd appoint those who interpreted law ACCORING to the Constitution. Clinton on the other hand said she appoint those who believed in a "living" constitution. In addition, I could not vote for a traitor as defined by Article 3, Clause 3 of the Constitution due to her actions over Benghazi. I hope you also find hers, Obama' and Panetta's actions over the illegal gun running scheme in Benghazi to help Muslim enemies of the US to overthrow another country's leader reprehensible. It got an ambassador and other Americans murdered.
