The Biden administration has confirmed the president ordered Sunday night airstrikes on multiple militant encampments along the Iraq-Syria border in order to “protect US personnel” – as an official Department of Defense statement in the aftermath indicated.
“At President Biden’s direction, U.S. military forces earlier this evening conducted defensive precision airstrikes against facilities used by Iran-backed militia groups in the Iraq-Syria border region,” the late Sunday statement reads. It was reportedly a “response” to ongoing drone attacks conducted by Iran-allied forces in both countries.
Such airstrikes began growing common place during the last year of the Trump administration amid growing tit-for-tat attacks between Iranian-backed Iraqi militias, but has been rare for the Biden White House, only happening one prior time in February that was publicly disclosed.
The DoD press statement added of this latest attack: “The targets were selected because these facilities are utilized by Iran-backed militias that are engaged in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks against U.S. personnel and facilities in Iraq.”
“Specifically, the U.S. strikes targeted operational and weapons storage facilities at two locations in Syria and one location in Iraq, both of which lie close to the border between those countries. Several Iran-backed militia groups, including Kata’ib Hezbollah (KH) and Kata’ib Sayyid al-Shuhada (KSS), used these facilities.”

The President of the United State is the Commander in Chief... Joesph Biden was certified as the President-elect of the United States in a Joint Session of Congress on January 6th of 2021. Pres. Biden was sworn in as President on 20 January 2021 in front of billions of viewers worldwide. Your information is obviously misguided and ignores reality. Pres. Biden may have delegated, by LAWFUL ORDER, some of his CIC duties and authority to others... However, not all of his powers can be delegated, as they are Statutory and Constitutionally directed. If Biden permits others to usurp his authority, that doesn't mean he is not accountable or that he is not ultimately in charge... It means he is likely senile or simply derelict in his duties as CIC.

We need to tell Bashar al-Assad that the US will no longer intervene in Syria... as long as he doesn't target its neighbors, engage in acts of terrorism against others, and conducts its civil war according to the international articles of war.
Syria is a soverign nation and needs to be permitted to exercise its lawful authority within its borders as long as it obeys the conventions and laws of war and is not hostile to its neighbors or others outside its borders. We must stop interfering with civil wars ... or internal matters of sovereignty. America is not the world's police force and it needs to stop acting as if it is...
Syria was once a prosperous relatively stable nation-state... Its people lived in a relative state of peace with one another... That is until radical Islam emerged and began to attack Assad and all of his secular policies. Syria was a secular socialist state and at one time like Iraq was seen as a friend and not an enemy. Islam and its religion of hate is the primary agent of civil war in Syria.
