    • An Unjust Balance or Unequal Scale… is an abomination.

Properly functioning Capitalism requires a moral people… just as our Government requires a moral people to operate properly. Is government in America functioning as it was intended? Why not? The moral compass that once directed our ship of state and sat at the head of commerce has been lost.

A moral people must be guided… by a set of tenants and percepts outside of their own nature; as man’s inhumanity toward man has clearly demonstrated there is no good or moral nature to be found within the man who acts alone. The ‘God of Creation’ and the Judeo/Christian ethic is the moral compass our forefathers chose and the one we need to follow in government and business. It is the Creator that bestows the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It follows, that God’s order (Word/Law) are necessary to the orderly maintenance of these rights.

When a people deny the Creator’s Law… and reject His guidance, they abandon the Truth and suffer the ills of their own making. Whether, their abandon be manifested in economic, political, or cultural decay; the sums of their calamity matters little, as the end result is the loss of their liberty. Today, we see the result of a long and deteriorating relationship between God and America.

Can our Nation retain its founding principals without its Creator… It is not only the government that has strayed… It is the people themselves, and the damage is not only visible in government, but in our homes and CORPORATE BOARD ROOMS of America.

America must return to the standards of equity… and the balance that God demands in commerce. God’s precepts of equity and justice must once again be the rule for engaging others in commerce and government… In the home and at work… In our schools and organizations… America must return to Natures Creator, if she desires fruit from the Tree of Liberty.

Capitalism and Democracy are empty shells… which must be filled with the right measure of moral order and purpose, to be instruments of righteousness, and a blessing to the people. Without God at the helm, Capitalism and Democracy soon become ship wrecked in a sea of despair and hopelessness. Where is God in our government and Corporate Board Rooms today? Does God sit in a seat of honor, as Lord, or has Mammon, the love of wealth and power, become lord in America?

There is no such thing as the separation of Church (God) and State… Ones government and religion are the reflection of their faith… What they believe. What image does America reflect in its culture, commerce, and government? Is it the God of Creation? Can America separate God from its government and the engines of her commerce, and still claim to be Christian (God like, Christ like)?

Board rooms and businesses that use an unjust scale or weight… to conduct their commerce, don’t fool God… Equity is not blind nor is a just contract or balance derived by taking undue advantage of others. Godly capitalism EARNS reasonable profits based on value added… not by the use of ones position, leverage, or raw power to exploit others.

A Godly people understand… what I’m speaking about. However, the ungodly will never understand that they are ‘their brothers keeper’. They consider windfalls and the exploitation of others justified as the tools of a free market. They don’t see them as an unjust scale or weight.

God doesn’t support slothfulness in labor… nor is he pleased when the Ox is muzzled. Labor and Capital must find an equitable arrangement where a just reward is earned by each… through an equitable exchange… just weights and measures. When Godly commerce is conducted, both parties are satisfied. This form of Capitalism results in prosperity for all.

A Capital market… that allows products manufactured at 2 dollars an hour to be marketed where labor costs are 8 times greater is a text book example of the manipulation and exploitation of markets… geared to achieve an unjust return on investment. Profits earned under these market conditions are not earned through value added… or a just weight. They are earned through the exploitation of unequal markets and are the tools of GREED and AVARICE. So, are many of the Free Market Treaties and agreements found in the world today.

It is hypocrisy for the capitalist to point at the socialist… to accuse him of robbery; when he is engaged in the very same act, but by another means. What difference is there between robbing the wage of the poor and unjustly taking the wealth of the rich? Both are WRONG and ungodly acts.

There can be no moral rationalization or argument that justifies slave wages… Capital that earns an exorbitant profit from labor, through market position, uses a form of unequal balances and weights in there commerce. God is not pleased and the end result is a corrupt system of commerce for all.

The markets in America are no longer open or free… consumers, small business and new enterprises are forced to compete with immoral businesses practices that exploit wages and the unregulated market places of the third world. The unethical business man takes advantage of market forces to achieve market share that is unjustly earned. This makes it difficult for small business and labor to obtain an equitable share in the market or just wages. At one time, such market exploitation was corrected through trade laws… and the use of tariffs, duties and restrictions on imports. These were the champions of small business and labor… engaging a JUST BALANCE in commerce.

Tariffs, duties and restrictions on imports are not immoral or anti-trade… they seek to keep commerce on a moral keel. They deny those who would seek to exploit labor and manipulate world markets unregulated access to US Markets. In fact, tariffs, duties and import restrictions are Constitutional powers permitted to the Federal government… for the regulation of commerce. It is time to reinstate these provisions, to implement there use, wherever the exploitation of unequal markets is used to gain unfair advantages in the US Market.

These practices were considered both moral and necessary… for the regulation of commerce by our founding fathers. Tariffs, import duties and restrictions need to be imposed once again; as safe guards against the exploitation of markets, and the destruction of American small business, and labor… Period

    • Commies make the same argument. They say it takes a moral people to make it successful so that no one takes advantage of the system. I'm against that. I say we all make our individual choices in the market place - labor and goods, which is the essence of capitalism. The aggregate of these choices makes the morality, not some abstract notion of morality that appeals to the good in people. I like capitalism and I want little government involvement in business. Period.

    • No the commies control the entire economic model... production thru consumption.   What I suggest is that pricing of medical services should be structured to reflect the adverse market variables associated with medical care... the lack of market choice and pricing of services. The normal market forces are not available in an emergency or urgent care situation nor are most individuals equipped to understand what they are paying for under most conditions.  Hence, the Government needs to enter the picture to keep the market balanced between care and costs.  By not for profit I mean ... profit is not the motive or goal... rather medical care and patient wellness should take precedent over the ACCOUNTANTS pen too maximize profits at the cost of care.

    • "Fair wage for labor performed"? The wages are determined in the market place. Nobody can complain for taking a job that does not pay enough. If it doesn't pay enough, they can take a different job. That's how it works in capitalism.

K Street is part of the American version of capitalism as are many other things like corporate loopholes and deregulation, all of which allow US companies to make money and to develop a vibrant economy in the course of that. What's wrong with that?

Government and business always go hand in hand. President Trump is an expert in that since he made his money as a real estate developer in New York City. Government (building codes, permits, eminent domain, etc) is very important in that line of buisness. That's why Trump understands so well how business works and that's why he supports businesses. Tax cuts for people but especially for corporations are an important tool for that support. We need more of that, which is exactly why Trump has my support.

    • Market rates for labor are being manipulated thru the use of foreign labor... illegal aliens and legally imported products made using slave wage labor... the use of tariffs to protect labor AND BUSINESS is the historical  AND CONSTITUTIONAL means for adjusting for the adverse impact of world markets on domestic labor and business. Our Constitution mentions the use of tariffs, imposts, and duties as a source of revenues to fund the government and be implication an economic tool for leveling the disparities found in global markets.

However, don't look for the Global Corporations and their paid lobbyist or think tanks to support tariffs or other taxes on imports as that would cut into their windfall profits... generated from slave wages and third world standards for the environment, public and worker safety.  The argument that free trade expands our own economy is specious and needs to be discarded in the trash bin of history... free trade exposes labor and capital to third world competition and our economy (business and labor) is not up to producing goods and services in competition with slave wages or third-world social and government policy... environmental, public and worker safety standards.  The Globalists want the myth to continue as they reap huge profits by leveraging world market disparities for windfall profits.

    • Why would one exclude labor in a trade agreement... what are you some kind of feudal lord?  Labor has a very big stake in world trade and without labor  our economy would lack sufficient consumption to drive impactful international trade.   So, yes labor considerations need to be a very important part of any Trade Agreement as labor is the signular largest sector of consumption... and consumption drives the need for trade.

Without Consumers there is no need for trade... and labor is the largest segment of consumers in our economy.  Labor and Capital need to work together in any trade agreement too achieve the best possible outcome for the national economy.   Capital does best when labor is satisfied with their incomes and able to consume the goods and services produced by an effective trade agreement, one that respects and considers the needs of both capital and labor.

    • It sounds like you support the demonrats' push to include labor in all trade agreements. I'm not into that sort of thing. Besides, the demonrats haven't prevailed yet and they won't prevail anytime soon. No wonder most American business people support the Republican Party and Trump, who also does business worldwide. He understands how businesses make money and he supports that. Lower taxes and deregulation make the US as a place of business more attractive, too. He is a champion of both, yet another reason why business people support him by a wide margin. They can make more money that way and create a vibrant US economy.

I'm in finance and the US is one of the best places in the world for finance, especially once Glass-Steagall was abolished. Obummer tried to over-regulate finance again but to no avail. Certain transactions just get moved off-shore. Trump also knows that because he uses international financial services better than anyone, I think. He reversed a lot of obummer's dumb regulations that ended up also hurting US community banks, US credit unions, etc. The US is back in business!!!

    • Medical care should never be based on a for-profit model... For-Profit models produce higher rates of death while charging more than a non-profit private model for the same procedures...

A non-profit private model for medical care... not unlike the Christian Denominational non-profit hospitals of my generation produce a higher quality of care for less... much less.  In the '50s to early '60s, before health insurance was popular or the explosion of modern drug therapies arrived, America HAD THE WORLD BEST MEDICAL CARE.  When that low-cost private system converted to a FOR-PROFIT system, medical care suffered and our system became the world's most expensive and least effective among modern nations.  A testament to greed and avarice... a testament to medical care by ACCOUNTANT instead of by Physician.

    • We do NOT want government involvement in business. Did you forget what happened with Obamacare, the biggest grab of government involvement in health care ever? Even after they watered it down with the input of companies in the healthcare sector, this thing was a disaster. If it wasn't for Trump, we'd still be under its yoke.

    • I wasn't born back then but socialism, communism been there for a long time and the people from another country came to the United State with that mentality that' where it started.
