On Tuesday, the Biden administration suspended oil and gas drilling leases in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge ahead of the outcome of an environmental impact review, reversing a policy that President Trump initiated right before leaving the White House.

The illegitimate President Joe Biden, on his first day in office in January, issued a temporary ban on the wildlife refuge’s new leases. However, on Tuesday, Secretary Deb Haaland issued a memo saying that activities in the region must halt pending the analysis.

“This order is effective immediately,” Haaland’s memo notes, “and will remain in effect until it is amended, superseded, or revoked, whichever occurs first.”

According to her memo, the Department of the Interior carried out a review that “identified multiple legal deficiencies in the underlying record supporting the leases,” which she pointed out was the previous administrations “insufficient analysis under the National Environmental Policy Act … including failure to adequately analyze a reasonable range of alternatives in the environmental impact statement.”

In January, Trump issued 10-year leases on more than 430,000 acres of Arctic National Wildlife Refuge land, and he and other former administration officials had argued that it was part of their plan to make the United States energy independent.

  • Biden / THE LEFT WING BASTARDS that are ACTUALLY Running this country are Over-Stepping Their Bounds..! This Is TOTALLY Unconstitutional... Those Lands Belong To A Soverign State and Private Companies..!        We Must Put A Stop To This Marxist Administration NOW..! No Matter What It Takes..!

  • Biden is ignorant plus dislikes American people

  • Drill anyway.  Dare the Biden Administration to send in troops to stop the drilling.  Alaska should send in their National Guard to protect the drilling.  This is a vast overreach by the Federal Government.  They must be stopped and sometimes people get hurt when they stand up for what is right.  Make this a national issue, not an Alaskan issue.  Let all the people know, not just the liberal fake news press.  We need to stop letting just a few people tell 330 million of us what to do without going through our elected representatives.  This was not a national emergency, so our elected representatives should of had a vote in this matter.  We are not lemons.

    • 100% agree

  • Boy they really hate the American people. Doing everything they can to hurt us.

  • Where in the US Constitution does it give the Federal GOvernment the right to Administer lands and coastal waters of a soverign state... other than for National Security, the execution of legitimate federal powers, and for the maintenance and administration of international trade and treaty agreements?

All lands not specifically needed and ceded to the Federal Government by the several states for... Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, docks, and other needful buildings should be surrendered to the appropriate State for its administration, and Constitutional governance. The State of Alaska is a sovereign and all lands not ceded directly to the Federal Government for the purposes listed in Article 1, Sections 8, and 9.  All lands not specifically ceded to the Federal Government for Constitutional functions of the Federal Government remain under the FULL JURISDICTION of the States, wherein that land is. located

Every State Legislature and Governor needs to serve notice on the Federal GOvernment... (Bureau of land Management and the Department of Interior) to cease their interference with State's administration, commerce, and regulatory authority, on all lands within their borders not specifically ceded to the federal government for lawful constitutional purposes.  The several States need to summarily evict the federal agents if they fail to voluntarily vacate such usurped State Lands.  The States need to manage their interior lands for the BENEFIT and ENRICHMENT of the State's Citizens, not the overreaching Federal Government.

    • Ron ... agreed.

Procedurally, would this require a lawsuit/court order against the Feds?

    • I have been saying all a long the way ever since obama and biden was in office we will never follow the constitution and tha's where it begin.

    • Regardless of what others may do we... the Patriot... must remain loyal to the Constitution... reminding the people and our government of its intent and purposes for governing our Republic.  We must not lose sight of the Constitution and its founding document... the Declaration of Independence if we want to restore Constitutional Governance.

  • It is time to suspend democrats... their hatred of the American people is sick.
