Guns aren't killinng our society it's the people who use guns. the. people need to be answering to why these killings are happening. The gun is just a tool. As we saw from Uvalde, the person told us what he was going to do on the social pages. People have to watch for the signs being given by the shooters. Families have to be particularly on watch especially if they have teenagers. I"m not for gun laws being added to the books. We have so damn many now they aren't enforces, that needs to be donw also. Get rid of the lawyers who don't want to enforce the law as they have sworn to do get rid of the politicians that want to keep riding on this merry-go-round for power and not for the safety of the people.
For years my profession was mechanical/ industrial design. In that capacity I was taught (and evidence bore out the fact) that the earlier you find the CORE problem in a line of production the cheaper, easier and faster it is to fix. And not only that, if you don’t find the CORE problem, it is doomed to repeat.
The shootings in Uvalde, though not mechanical or industrial in nature, may be held to the same principle. There’s so much talk in the media and among politicians about how to harden schools and what you should do if there’s an attack and how the police handled it. This is tackling the problem at the end of production.
You can go back to when this boy was walking the streets shooting people with BB guns, but that’s not the CORE. You can go back to the reported strife within the family due to, among other things, possibly self absorption. But you must go back to way before that young man decided to buy guns and go into that school.
You can blame our mental health system, which is worse than useless. It gives the illusion that there is a safety net for people in trouble but it actually is an inadequate, pathetic excuse of a medical intervention system. We see this over and over again. Everybody around these bad actors knew that they were in trouble but nothing was done. You can blame the parents who, many times, are so involved in their own issues that they don’t even behave as if they have children. Or you can look at the police who are expected to do everything perfectly no matter how chaotic the situation is. Or you can look at the politicians who take every single incident and try to turn it to their advantage, clouding the CORE problem.
But the bottom line is if we can't discover people in trouble before they get to this stage this will keep happening. Our school systems are busy dumbing down people instead of bettering the quality of education. I don’t know that we have much hope from that front. Parents are more and more self absorbed than they have ever been in the past. In my opinion, that is THE line to follow. There is no educational, medical or governmental replacement option for parenting, no matter how much those entities may try to be.
There is a set of natural rules in place that cannot be overturned. One of them is that if you have sex you might get pregnant. No one talks about abstinence or even birth control anymore. All the conversation is had between pro-choice and pro-life. This avenue completely negates the vital role of self restraint and personal responsibility. These things are still very important to natural law, no matter how much people attempt to ignore them. This is the real CORE of personal responsibility missing in action for both parties that have created a child that will depend upon them to teach them their own personal responsibility. So, once pregnant the question becomes how do I raise this individual being so that he doesn't grow up and kill multiple people in a rage or in a mental fog. One of the answers surely must be, as a parent, to control yourself enough to not be lost in a fog of drugs or utter self absorption. This is the personal responsibility of a parent. If you can’t do this, as many admit they cannot, the child should be raised by someone who can. Obviously, this is not always a simple plan. Our mental health community might be useful at this point if there was some form of emotional education and/or screening for parents and their backups. However, as our societal disintegration proves, our mental health community is not mature or organized enough to be successful in this role. Therefore, the first step in this, personal responsibility, must be reintroduced into society and demanded by peers. It seems to have been almost completely ignored by society since about the mid 70s. The resulting social chaos is evident. Personal responsibility must be reintroduced into our home and school lives. It has been purposely removed for the benefit of elites that wish to control a dumbed down population. Uvalde appears to be a result of that.
These events of troubled young people acting out in horrific ways will not stop until we figure out the core cause of the problem. The core cause of the problem is the abandonment of instilling and practicing personal responsibility.
I agree and view the 'Core Problem' as the dissolution of the Family and removal of God from our living rooms and public institutions... God and Family are the core building block for society. The removal of Parents and God as the core advocates for training up children to be responsible AND ACCOUNTABLE for their actions has led our society to raise up auto-toms/robots... disconnected youth... looking for the secuirty of family and the moral guidance of absolutes... God's Word. I fault the Church for permitting the government to invade its traditional role as the moral guide for society... as the source of community engagement, welfare, and social services.
The mental health issues are at fault... the demonizing of little boys with WHITE SKIN... exposing them to issues no child should ever be subjected to are creating the mental issues that explode into violence later in life. One cannot expect White Male Children to adjust to being called racist, bigots, bullies, privileged and dangerous without creating mental issues that are exacerbated by our Educational system... with each advancing year.
Yes, we have created a huge problem by persecuting WHITE MALE children... and the problem is getting worse, not better.
