Nineteen foreign nationals face federal charges in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina for illegally voting in the 2016 federal elections, according to federal charges publicly announced on Wednesday. These charges are the latest indictments to result from an ongoing years-long federal criminal investigation being conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Raleigh office.

A federal grand jury in Wilmington charged seven foreign nationals on August 31 on federal felony charges including falsely claiming U.S. citizenship or making false statements on voter registration application, and with misdemeanor charges of unlawfully casting ballots in the 2016 presidential election. Non-citizens are not eligible to register to vote or to vote in federal elections under U.S. law.

    • The market rallied 6% from election day to inauguration. We are still very, very far from tripling.

    • Donald J Trump is going to be reelected does that answer your question?

    • Agree Rick.

    • You are right, Rick! Trump is too weak to fight his enemies and the opposition including the deep state at the moment. But in Npvember he will get a huge landslide victory that will strengthen his position and end opposition to him once and for all.

    • Well I think he will win reelection also.  However, if anyone thinks that will cause these violent riots and looting to end they are absolutely wrong!

    •   He is not "leaving"  the intercity destruction to the enablers.  Without declaring an insurrection which at this point may not be a good idea constitutionally he must leave it up to the mayors and governors to request government assistance.  Read the tenth amendment.  All this anarchy is caused by the lack of government leadership by democrats in elected positions mayors and governors. In some if not many of the cases those democrat mayors and governors are encouraging the violent riots and looting. It seems they for some unknown reason think, or thought, that will help them somehow in the coming election. It appears at this point they are wrong but it seems that was the reasoning behind allowing it in the beginning. Now no matter what is done they may not be able to stop it. There is little doubt it will take federal government intervention to squelch it. However, with the main stream media making up stories (lies) about President Trump can you imagine what they would do or try to do to him should he take that action prior to the election?

    • Wrong... the Emergency Powers Act and the National Security Act both provide the President with the power to unilaterally deploy the military to protect the civil rights of citizens where the States and Local Government refuse... examples abound in the CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT: whereby, federal Troops were used to secure the integration of public schools and too restore order when civil unrest resulted from violations of the civil rights of US Citizens of Color by the local and state governments.

Domestic terrorism, riot, arson, looting, assault, racial violence are all forms of civil rights violations... the federal government has the obligation to guarantee the constitutional civil rights of its citizens, whenever the local and state governments will not... There is plenty of precedent for the federal government to guarantee the civil rights of all its citizens, starting with the civil war... and the emancipation of slaves... granting them equal status as endowed by their Creator and enshrined in the doctrine of the Declaration of Independence.

Allowing violence to occur as a punishment or out of spite for bad government is frankly... despicable.  Innocent individuals are being murdered, lives threatened, businesses destroyed, homes wrecked and thousands terrorized by such acts.  I would hope that our President was not withholding the power to stop such violence out of some misplaced idea that it will TEACH THEM A LESSON... there are better means to do that than to allow wholesale insurrection to destroy cities and individuals.

    • By withholding federal action, he single-handedly broke the generational democratic hold on the police and fire unions. The largest police union has come out TRUMP. That could never have happened had he gone in and taken over. Firemen will go with Police. We now have at least two formidably sized groups of people completely in Trump's corner.

    • Allowing violence or using it as a tool to achieve political ends is frankly... despicable... no matter what party or group engages in such tactics.

    • This election is headed for a vote in the House... it will never certify a winner... one of the candidates must have a majority of CERTIFIED electoral votes by 20 Jan 2021 or the election devolves to the House of Representatives where a majority vote for Trump or Biden will determine who is President.  see the 12th and 20th Amendments to the US Constitution to find out what happens if neither candidate has a CERTIFIED majority of electoral votes.  It must be a certified majority... the States secretary of state must certify the vote... and that may not happen in the Democrat States making it impossible to certify the election in time to install a new president by 20 Jan 2021.
