Trial of former Proud Boys leader Postponed: court can't find impartial jury because of J6 Hearings

A federal judge agreed on Wednesday to postpone a trial for the former leader of the Proud Boys and other members of the far-right group charged with attacking the US Capitol on January 6.  U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly postponed the start of the trial from August 8 to December 12 after attorneys for several of the men argued that their clients couldn't get a fair trial by an impartial jury in the midst of televised hearings by the House committee investigating the Capitol attack.  They're also waiting for the committee to share documents that could become trial evidence. Former Proud Boys national chairman Henry 'Enrique' Tarrio and four other men are charged with seditious conspiracy for what authorities say was a plot to forcibly oppose the lawful transfer of presidential power during the joint session of Congress on Jan. 6, 2021. Tarrio, 38, of Miami, and his co-defendants - Ethan Nordean, Joseph Biggs, Zachary Rehl and Dominic Pezzola - have been in federal custody for…

FBI raids Georgia churches Near Military Bases - say church was targeting soldiers

The FBI on Thursday raided three churches associated with the House of Prayer Christian Church in Georgia and Texas. The FBI has not released a statement regarding the raids. The House of Prayer is owned by the foreign nonprofit company House of Prayer Christian Churches of America Inc., which registered with the Georgia Secretary of State in 2004. The business's listed officers are affiliated with the Georgia churches and use Hinesville, Georgia, post office boxes as mailing addresses. Its churches, which are primarily located near military bases throughout the country, have been accused by former members and a veterans' advocacy group of operating like a cult and targeting soldiers. Our Letter to VA and Georgia SAA Regarding House of Prayer Christian Church In August 2020, Veterans Education Success, an advocacy organization based in Washington D.C., asked the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the Georgia Veterans Service to investigate alleged abuses of the GI Bill program by…

Stung by gun and abortion rulings, Biden undermines Supreme Court in ways unlike predecessors

Two months into his presidency, as he did often on the campaign trial, President Joe Biden asked America to embrace the legitimacy of government. “Put trust and faith in our government to fulfill its most important function, which is protecting the American people,” the 46th president implored his country in a March 2021 speech on the anniversary of the COVID-19 lockdowns. On Friday, after being stung by abortion and gun rights rulings by the Supreme Court that he disagreed with, the president changed his tune and launched a verbal assault on America’s judicial branch of government and its iconic marbled court of nine justices. The president took a blowtorch to the Supreme Court in language clearly designed to undermine its legitimacy. He accused the justices of waging a “deliberate effort over decades to upset the balance of our law" and decried their “extreme and dangerous path", as he insisted the nation’s highest court had made the “United States an outlier among developed…

Has Civil War II Started?

Civil War was started by the Southern Democrats over the rights of a State to secede from the union. Today many politicans are saying: “armor up” because “there’s a war out there. During the course of the conflict, the North spent approximately 3.36 billion dollars and the South spent 3.28 billion dollars, for a total of approximately 6.64 billion dollars (or the equivalent to 90 billion today). The Civil War was the deadliest of all American wars. No one disagrees with that. But how many died has long been a matter of debate. For more than a century, the most-accepted estimate was about 620,000 dead. A specific figure of 618,222 is often cited, with 360,222 Union deaths and 258,000 Confederate deaths. Slavery was a secondary issue but did play into the final victory for the north.  But what do you think? Has Civil War II started and who will win?

How Long Will Liberties Bell Ring... how long will honor go without a home?

The days are coming when the sound of the LIBERTY BELL will be heard no more in our land... soon and sooner than most think the door to liberty will be nailed shut and the stairway to freedom closed... no more will our windows open to admit new life and the air of freedom will stagnate. Men everywhere will lament this Great Nation's demise wondering at how it could happen not understanding that the removal of God from our high places, town squares, and living rooms... from the hearts of our children brought this calamity upon us...  A Godless people are lost in a sea of distress; looking for the exit only to find it obstructed by their stubbornness and indolence.  When it was yet light the People ceased in their labor, sleeping while our enemies undermined our liberty. There is but one America and when she is gone the world will suffer greatly from a lack of compassion for the poor and love for the suffering...   America leads the world in both public and private charity for those most…

Dems get slammed as 'Clueless' standing on Capitol Singing "God Bless America" After SCOTUS Ruling

I get that they are at a loss. But there’s an unbearable pathos in watching ever more fervent performances of institutional faith as the institutions themselves fail ever more violently. https://t.co/41l14Kikza— Chris Hayes (@chrislhayes) June 24, 2022 This is weakness. It is pathetic. https://t.co/q3AYyFXkAo— Wajahat Ali (@WajahatAli) June 24, 2022 Please stop this shit. Now they're turning on RBG and Obama!

Liberal Twitter users have taken to the platform to blast the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg following the court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade on Friday. While a number of journalist lay the blame at former President Trump who got to appoint three conservative justices during his time in the White House, things took a surprising turn when attention shifted to RBG. Several users saw it fit to blame the late Supreme Court Justice for the court's landmark decision on abortion with some suggesting that had she decided to step down sooner while President Obama was in office, she would have been replaced in turn with a liberal justice.  When Ginsburg died in September of 2020 at the age of 87 her vacancy allowed Trump to nominate conservative Justice Amy Coney Barrett to take her place.     Some liberal journalists blamed the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's failure to step as partly to blame for the overturning of Roe v. Joe Manchin and Susan Collins accuse Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch of misleading them

https://t.co/BUGbmw5KJ8" / Twitter" /> U.S. Senators Joe Manchin and Susan Collins slammed Supreme Court Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch for their votes in overturning Roe v Wade on Friday. The senators had voted to confirm the Donald Trump appointed justices despite fears that they would overtrun the landmark abortion ruling, with the senators saying at the time that they trusted Kavanaugh and Gorsuch to uphold the law.  Now Collins, a Republican, and Manchin, a Democrat, are accusing the justices of misleading them as they criticized the court's 5-4 ruling to end women's federal right to an abortion.  'This decision is inconsistent with what Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh said in their testimony and their meetings with me, where they both were insistent on the importance of supporting long-standing precedents that the country has relied upon,' Collins said in a statement.  Manchin echoed the outrage, saying: 'I trusted Justice Gorsuch and Justice Kavanaugh when they…

Another Biden Admin Loss: Federal court BLOCKS FDA's ban on Juul e-cigarettes

A federal appeals court has agreed to halt the FDA's ban on Juul products thanks to a lawsuit filed by the e-cigarette manufacturer.  Juul asked a federal court Friday to block a government order to stop selling its electronic cigarettes, and was told the application had succeeded. The temporary freeze on the FDA order lasts at least until July 12, according to the court's scheduling order.  The pause gives Juul time to argue for why the order should be placed on hold for a longer amount of time pending the court's review of it. The D.C. Circuit can extend the pause on the agency's order, or it can let the order take effect while Juul's appeal is pending.  The e-cigarette maker had earlier asked the court to pause what it calls an 'extraordinary and unlawful action' by the Food and Drug Administration that would require it to immediately halt its business.  The company filed an emergency motion with the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington as it prepares to appeal the FDA´s decision.…
