Don Sipes, after the 1917 Russian Revolution the military were bridled with commissars from the smallest units on up to the senior grades. It was the duty of the commissars to educate the political

philosophy of communism and to report back the police organs any departure that showed independence, disloyalty or disobedience. Often the punishment was sentence to the gulags or death. I believe a commissar setup may be implemented here very quickly before the military can coalesce and take control of the government. The sorry thing is the military today is not homogenus

and too its career reward system comes down from the government. We will learn most quickly which

way it will go. Pray brother, pray.

By controlling the narrative we are painted into a corner so any action we take will be reported as terrorist. We must outsmart them at their own game.

They must keep us in fear, they were to lax in that department lately so they hurried up to continue where they left off- from 9/11 ???

Of  course they will fire on us, Clinton killed people at Waco Texas ,then said he didn't know about until he read  the paper next day. Obama has learned not to be associated with any thing as well . He will have us destroyed and not lose a minutes sleep . If they come for our weapons there will be war.

Obama has his secret army. 2700 tanks, ammunition for a 20 year war. 30,000 Rissian troops so I hear. Working on 100,000. Why is this man still in office ?? He is a criminal,of the worst kind. Something has to be done.

Hey Mr. Badger,

The problem is that too many people won't believe something until they see it on the evening news. The OEM treats them like mushrooms.

Hey Mr. Melcher, et al,
Last year someone asked me a question, you'll figure out what the question was. I'm no expert and this is one man's opinion. My background, I spent 28+ years in the Army, Infantry. From the rank of PVT to LTC. I then spent another 10 years as a DOD contractor training soldiers from PVT to GEN. Here for your reading.

I see two scenarios for Obama to take action. 1. He is driving our economy into the ground and he will use that as an excuse to declare a state of national emergency. Using that as a pretext to confiscate weapons to prevent looting, etc. 2. He knows that ordering the confiscation of weapons will result in some 'civil disobedience' and he can use that as the pretext to declare 'Martial Law'. Either way he attempts to gets our guns and assume dictatorial powers.

Some thing that needs consideration when discussing what the military will do, or not do. The legality of any order to confiscate weapons. Members of the military are given the right to disobey any unlawful order. I would expect Obama to present the order as being lawful. He will start any action prior to giving the SCOTUS the opportunity to determine the legality of the order. Until that issue is resolved, any member of the military risks the chances of being court marshaled if he disobeys the order. My following comments are based upon whether the members will resist on conscience and take that risk. I do believe that any who do resist will eventually be found not guilty, but, I fear for how long that may take.

As to the military personnel; this is complicated and not a simple answer. It all about demographics.

Active Duty: Of the 1200+ Flag Officers (FO), generals and admirals, I would think that maybe 10% would say no to supporting the confiscation of privately owned weapons. Of those that do say no, most will probably retire without saying a word. The number who remain on active duty will be small and insignificant, and drowned out. Remember FOs are appointed by the WH and they owe the man. COLs and Navy CPTs are wanna be FOs, so most will go along hoping to get promoted to replace those who are gone.

Middle grade officers, LTC, MAJ, and CPT, are a mixed lot. I think that most would not go along. They, for the most part, have the experience and knowledge to understand what is at stake.

Lieutenants, for the most part, will go along with the orders. Remember they are recent graduates of our liberal institutions of higher learning, including the Academies, and have been indoctrinated to believe the government is always right and know what is best. They have not been around long enough to understand the full meaning of the Oath.

Warrant Officers just want to be left along and will following the wind.

Senior NCOs are a mixed group. There are some that are career minded and will follow orders, and some who are not. I would think that the majority will say no. Mid-rank NCOs fall into the same category as the mid-rank officers; most will say no. The junior enlisted men are like sheep. They will follow their leaders. Like the Lieutenants, they are a product of our liberal school systems and think they must follow orders. Experience hasn't taught them yet.

National Guard is different story. The first thing Obama is going to do is to federalize all NG troops. Eliminating the respective governors from the chain of command and bringing them under his control as the CnC. But, the perimeters are different from the Active Duty troops. They would be asked to confiscate weapons from friends, neighbors, and even family members. I talked to one member of the NG who had participated in 'civil disobedience' training. He is deeply troubled, as of now he is not sure he would obey such orders. Obama could get around that problem by transferring units from one state to another. Time constrains my keep him from doing that. As a whole, I'd expect the majority of NG troops to resist the orders.

Reserves fall into the same categ

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

Fact Check:   'Joe Biden Claims ‘We Didn’t Lock People Up In Cages’

CLAIM: Former Vice President Joe Biden claimed, on immigration: “We didn’t lock people up in cages.”

VERDICT: FALSE. The “cages” were built by the Obama-Biden administration.

Univision moderator Jorge Ramos asked Biden at the third Democrat debate at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas, why Latinos should trust him after the Obama administration continued deporting “undocumented immigrants.”

Biden claimed that the Obama administration’s policies were more humane than those of President Donald Trump: “We didn’t lock people up in cages,” he said.

In fact, the “cages” were built by the Obama administration to deal with a surge of unaccompanied minors who crossed the border illegally in 2014.

Originally, the Obama administration was “warehousing” children — literally — in overwhelmed Border Patrol facilities. Breitbart News broke the story of the surge, which was partly triggered by Obama’s policy of allowing illegal alien children who entered the country as minors to stay in the country (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA).

The above photo was published by the Associated Press in June 2014, and the photo below is of Obama’s Secretary of Homeland Security, Jeh Johnson, touring a Border Patrol facility with “cages.”

The “cages” are chain-link enclosures in Border Patrol processing facilities that are meant to protect children from adults in custody. They are not permanent accommodations.

In mid-2018, as the Trump administration began enforcing a “zero tolerance” policy that stopped the “catch-and-release” policy of letting illegal aliens go after they were arrested. Detaining adults and children meant that children had to be processed separately; the enclosures prevented adults from harming children.

As Breitbart News reported at the time, children were not housed in “cages.” They were processed and then taken to shelters, where they were given medical care, toiletries, education, recreation, and counseling, and where staff attempted to find relatives or sponsors to whom they could be released.

Democrats began tweeting images of “kids in cages” to condemn the Trump administration. Journalists, too, shared those images.

One problem: they were taken during the Obama administration.

Public outrage at the images led President Trump to end the policy, and require families to be detained together.

Democrats keep repeating the mistake, however: in July, they had to delete a tweet that used an image from the Obama era and cited the “inhumane treatment” of children by the Trump administration.

Republicans argue that not detaining illegal aliens is actually the cruel policy, because it encourages migrants to undertake a dangerous journey, often guided by cartels and smugglers.

As Breitbart News’ Alana Mastrangelo noted recently:

But what’s worse than “cages,” however, are reports of migrant children also being handed over to human traffickers during the Obama administration — while Biden was vice president — according to the New York Times. Between October 2013 and July 2015 alone, nearly 80,000 unaccompanied children from Central American countries were detained by U.S. authorities.

It remains unclear how many of the tens of thousands of children were handed over to human traffickers — including sex traffickers — during that span of nearly two years, as those cases are reportedly not tracked.

“Others were ransomed by the very smugglers to whom their families paid thousands of dollars to sneak them into the United States,” reported the New York Times in 2015, during Obama’s presidency and Biden’s vice presidency. “Some lost limbs during the journey or found themselves sold into sexual slavery.”

Biden told voters in South Carolina last month that he would close all border detention facilities, guaranteeing that the migrant flow would continue.
