"Alabaman Rube Burrows was a train robber, primarily in Texas. He was killed in Linden, Alabama, where he had been captured and handcuffed to a bench. Using a hidden pistol, he got free from the handcuffs then went looking for another of his captors who had taken his Marlin rifle. Burrows was killed in the ensuing gunfight." 1890

Gill

God is pro- weapons to include firearms. If a man uses weapons for evil, he will die by the weapon. God will punish anyone who does not provide for those of his household, and especially if you let someone murder and rape them. Anything that has been created can and is used for evil, even the word of God when we take it out of context. Like if a man rapes your daughter, and you say here take my wife. firerarms have a Godly use. God expects us to fullfil all our commentments To Him, our household, our neighbors.

Luke 12:51 KJ 51Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division

Peace with God is the only peace Jesus gave us. He knew He was the "Rock Of Offence". Even our founders knew there was no earthly peace. "Peace is a moment in history when everybody is reloading." Thomas Jefferson. So if you fear God and believe Him and you think there is peace here on earth, you are either carving out and eternal fortress here on earth or you are reloading. For all your commitments sake, I hope you are reloading.

I tend to believe you have a very liberal minded stance on the issues, please tell me you do not.

I agree that God is not PC, and does not aspire to our value, but rather instills in us our values and sets out values for us to aspire to. And even though I support our constitutional right to bear arms, I don't really think guns are something God is too fond of.

I don't think God is pro-gun (by say this I am also saying I don't think Jesus is pro-gun) because of the Bible. He said that those who live by the sword shall die by the sword. Jesus said if someone strikes you, don't hit back, but turn your other cheek to them as well. He advocated against violence, and even though he alone could, did not throw the first stone.  He came not to fight but to die. Israel was expecting a lion to come to lead them in war to throw off the Romans, but instead got the sacrificial lamb (and isn't that a way more compelling and intriguing narrative?).

Guns are a part of our national identity, and I enjoy hunting as much as the next guy, but I do not think guns are necessarily godly. I agree that God is pro-life, and I think this can be a priority, but a very American conservative attitude is being pro-gun, and I do not think that this is an aspect that describes God. God is just, but from what I understand, He desires peace, and so that is one of his values I try to aspire to.

the way we understand it

Reading the entire Bible is the best way to get to know the Father, Son & Holy Spirit.

If you need to put a label on Jesus it would be conservative... but not the wat we understand it.

@ Gill, God is anti-abortion and pro-gun. And he is not P. C. And He does not aspire to any of our values, we try to aspire to His.

Watch out now, Obama will be blaming those who use Mohammed's name in vain for all the violence by the islamic idiots. Mohammed is a pig  and all of those radicals are snake poop. Obama is worse than all the evil on earth and so is his followers. I wonder why the radical Muslims have not disposed of Obama- he is a turncoat Muslim by his position OR is he their co-conspirator? Maybe he will go to confer with the muslim brotherhood. I forgot- he doesn't do briefings. More likely he is too yellow to leave CONUS. By the way he never meets anyone to get reports, briefings or updates on state of affairs. He predicts the weather too.  Secretary of state usually visit the foreign dignitaries of countries in disarray-but this would mean the coward your highness Hillary Clinton would get dust in her face Or is that egg on her face? Obama could ask the liberal preacher in video to go in his place. There is no Person on this earth as brave and successful as OUR TROOPS!!  USA TROOPS CAN WHIP THOSE HEATHENS INTO BUTTER!!

Yikes !!! Ocasio-Cortez: We Need A ‘Multigendered, Multigeographic’ United States

The United States of America needs to be “multigendered” and “multigeographic,” according to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who endorsed fellow socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) at the “Bernie’s Back Rally” in New York on Saturday.

The freshman lawmaker and “Squad” member officially endorsed Sanders during a rally in Queensbridge Park in Long Island City, New York, on Saturday and called for more diversity in the U.S., arguing that it should not only be “multiracial” and “multigenerational” but “multigeographic” and “multigendered.”

“We need a United States that really, truly, and authentically is operated, owned, and decided by working – and all – people in the United States of America,” Ocasio-Cortez said to applause.

“That is what it – it is multiracial, multigendered, multigenerational, and multigeographic,” she said, failing to elaborate on what that specifically looks like.

“We have to come together, not ignoring our differences but listening to them, prioritizing them, understanding injustice,” she continued.

The socialist lawmaker also implied that rampant racism is still alive and well in the U.S., telling the crowd that it is essential to understand “that we operate in a context where slavery evolved into Jim Crow, evolved into mass incarceration, [and] evolved into the realities we have today.”
