During the early summer of 1938, eyes of America were once again on the cross-roads town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. This time, the nation saw not a major battle, but a peace celebration, as 1845 former Union and Confederate soldiers encamped for a week to commemorate the pivotal battle of 75 years before.

A total of 116 media personnel registered with the hosting Commission and provided radio and photographic documentation of the veterans' encampment and the July 1st dedication of the Eternal Light Peace Memorial by President Franklin Roosevelt. Much professional footage of these events is available from various media sources. The USAHEC is fortunate to have in its collections two sets of film footage shot by private citizens. Although amateur in nature, this silent short offers a glimpse of "The Last Reunion of the Blue and the Gray" 75 years ago.

Obama's agenda is to divide and divide - the nation must be at odds with other civilians to cause the disruption and animosity of class division, race division, culture division, and so on - which is the step that is used in the Communist Manifesto to divide and conquer for totalitarian rule.

Now at 150 yrs........it is eerie to watch the 75th anniversary of Gettysburg with some of the original Civil War Vets still around.  There are other films with sound and interviews of the old vets, north and south.  What is eerie or haunting is to actually listen to the voice of a Civil War veteran who in most cases was born in the early 1840's and existed in a time before phones, film, cars, planes etc.........to hear and see them animated in the 1930's just as technology was growing.  I personally find it amazing to actually hear and see a CW vet.  Too bad they no longer teach history and infuse the value of what has passed before.

The Civil War was about States Rights.  The Government decided to designate what the States were allowed to do.    A very large Civil War is being orchestrated right now in this Country, the man in the WH is engineering, it.     Business vs. Labor, Blacks vs. White, Rich vs Poor,, it is written, "Divide and Conquer".    Under this Administration, using the MSM, we are being taught to hate each other.  Anger, and resentment are being encouraged, egged on.    Envy, jealously are taking the place of Christian Values.  More misery is forced upon us everyday. We are being played.

David, the sad part is it will be between the people and their government again. It will ring of both the War of Independence and the Civil War. Economics, Politics and neighbor against neighbor. In some cases family against family and government against it's people.

This is what Obama has brought to our shores. This is what his "transformation" of America is doing to us.

I do not understand how so many can not see the direction this man is leading this country is not to Shangri-La but to a socialist state where freedom will be measured and paid for by the anguish of our citizens. It will be bloody and seem futile until the military becomes a citizen army for freedom from oppression.

What was called a "civil war" was actually a "war between the states".  There was nothing civil about it and was the fought because of politics, neighbors, nothing more.  Such a crime of the politicians to allow a war that killed so many Americans over economics.  It saddens me greatly - the more I read about it, the more I realize we are again moving towards it.  God bless us all and God bless America!

Great Historical footage Dee !!.. In that film I see a Country comming together to Celebrate its Culture and history unified once again into a Great Country.  It saddens me  to see it  now because the U.S.A. has lost its heart and our  culture is rapidly disappearing. !! 'Obama' has been so successfull transforming  and degrading America via 'Marxism'..

just think..75 years from now, the only thing we will have to show, is how the united states lost its heritage, its history, and its heart...to the progressive movement of Marxist and the socialist, populated by illegals, financed by china and corrupted by islam.

SICK: New Jersey Awarded $3.8 Million In Financial Aid To Illegal Aliens

A local news report revealed that the state of New Jersey awarded $3.8 million in financial aid to illegal immigrants during the 2018-2019 school year.

According to a report from NJ.com, the state of New Jersey gave $3.8 million in financial aid to 749 illegal immigrant students in the last academic year. More than a quarter of the funding went to 328 illegal immigrants that attend Rutgers University.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed a law last year that allowed illegal immigrants to apply for financial aid. Prior to the signing, illegal immigrants were permitted to apply to pay in-state tuition at public universities but they were not eligible for financial aid.

Murphy, who supports the spending, hit back at Republican critics by arguing that giving financial aid to illegal immigrants is compatible with American values.

“I’d even invite any of those folks who have that attitude, beginning with our president, to come on into this room and allow me or any of us to say, ‘This is the United States of America,’” Murphy said at the time.

David J. Socolow, executive director of the state’s Higher Education Student Assistance Authority, defended the state’s decision to offer financial aid to illegal immigrants.

“This financial assistance offers these New Jersey students a life-changing opportunity,” Socolow said in a brief comment.“The successes of these first 513 students, who are now attending county colleges, state colleges and universities, and independent institutions around the state, will have a positive impact on countless additional lives.”

According to the report, there is currently no limit on the amount of illegal immigrant students that are permitted to receive financial aid from the state of New Jersey. State lawmakers forecast that they will spend approximately $5 million on financial aid for illegal immigrants each year.
