Well said by an excellent orator.  We need more of the same well reasoned and inspiring oratory.

Great speech , now he needs to go home and take care of their Muslim problem that is destroying his own country .

Here's the problem with numbers:

  1.     Now days no one knows where they come from or how they were arrived at.
  2.     Need to pay attention as to who paid for the "poll" since pollsters stay in business by giving their clients what they want--not the best method for guaranteeing the absolute truth.
  3.     With the obvious bias of our media, if you're getting the stats from a "normal" news source then for sure the data's been massaged several times over befor you even see it.  To say nothing of the fact that the media only allows what their bosses will tolerate.

Bottom line.  All these numbers are suspect, but even if they were true (not hardly) we'd still need to deal with the fact that we Americans have lost control of our voting system--a hard realization to deal with but something we need to do nevertheless.

PS-If you're looking for proof, I suggest that the numbers you give are not proof the system is broken, but instead proof that it IS working--but for them, and not for us.

I'd vote for Hannan in a heartbeat if he was an American born citizen. I feel he has trumped most of the speeches we have already heard from the Conservatives. My own personal feelings are that both the Republicans and Democrats have become too comfortable over the past century, knowing full well that either of them would systematically occupy the White House, Senate, House, and Judicial branch of our Government. Both Party's have become so corrupt and as to completely circumvent the will of the American People and the "Constitution" which was intended by our Founding Fathers to guide our Republic. Corruption in politics has so lowered the bar of decency and practicality that we find ourselves in the outrageously untenable fiscal debacle we have ever faced as a nation. Now we see the SAME political Party's who are responsible for the mess, telling us that they are the ONLY one's to bring us back to sanity and mend the faults of which THEY THEMSELVES put us into.

I am a true Conservative and find it still very difficult to listen to the same old, same old. At 76 years old, I have seen and heard these lies time and time again. A NEW government is needed, run by Citizens who abide by the Constitution and religious values which have stood the test of time. Term limits must be imposed and earnest and thorough character vetting is a must. there should be only ONE Party dedicated to "We the People", and lobbyists of all stripes should be disallowed completely. They are the catalyst for ALL corruption in Government.

All Conservatives must stand back and take a real hard look at the body politics. First is that if we demand Social and fiscal Conservatives only about 20% of Republics registered classify themselves to  fit this mold. Such a Candidate as this would not be electable in the entire North East, Lake States, and most of the West coast States.

This would lead to a guaranteed Progressive Democrat landslide in every election. This would result in a veto proof Senate and House lead by a Democrat President - that is exactly what happened in 2008 and then again 2012 when 4 million less voted.

I have seen this before - let us consider the issue of NATIONAL POLITICS. The House and the Senate can not be won by the R's unless they take more moderate position on many issues - it has always been this way - the Rockefeller Republicans - all middle of the road country club types, and the entire east coast and west coast is comprised of that persuasion.

Conservatives make up about 30 to 40% of the voting public depending on the poll - now voting is different - 47% as Romney said have been bought and paid for with tax dollars from the Democrats and Republicans but the R's get no credit for any Progressive programs and they had many . . so now if you take a 100% conservative view point you will have your hat handed to you as has happened in California, NY, Mass, Oregon, Washington, the NE, Florida, ND, SD, Mont. and more are just not supporting hard conservative options.

So, to stand tall on one side of a teeter-doter and have those on the center right and left of center stand on the other - when they jump the Conservatives will be tossed in the ocean and lost forever. It is pure foolishness to even think that way = total losing theory - these people will not even get 170 elected to the national House and maybe 30 Senators at best.

AV is the only way - no money or power in DC they will all leave and then those leaning conservative will move to conservative States and the left will have their own. My bet is soon the left loses most of the States as they,  like California go broke with broken promises all over their States.

Elections will not fix our nations problems at this point in time as history has shown us being ruled by Progressives in both parties - only the Article V State amendment process can save the REPUBLIC and that will require all fiscal or social  or center rights to unite and pressure the State legislatures [38 States] to do the repeal the 14th, 16th and 17th amendments.

If we can not do this then it is game over and the Progressives holding a lock on 48% of the entire population by bribing them with our tax money. Then you add the center left and they will get 55% + in every election except maybe 8 to 10 States.

Mostly true, but fact is Churchill was so hated that he lived in obscurity until after WWII broke out (and Nevil Chamberlain had a chance to get the UK in to the war), then he was forced back into obscurity when the war was over--we just don't like great leaders when there isn't a war to fight.

Another fact is that Germany offered to make peace with the US, with the UK and with Russia (Russia went back on their word after signing a peace treaty) and the German right wing was a big voting block in the US.  But money speaks louder that words and our big money makers insured that we sent enough shipping to the UK to get enough of our ships sunk and our men killed that war (and making money) was all their was left (no pun intended).

Just imagine, Berry would never have been born if we'd taken Germany up on it's peace offer befor the war.

And, dealing with Berry now instead of later will save as many lives as we could have done in WWII--anyone wish to put money on it?

PS-SammysDad, you're right, it's refreshing to hear educated people speak.

Now that's oration, not the false tongue in cheek speech as Obama believes.

New York's Green Light Law - Allows Illegal Aliens To Get Driver’s Licenses

New York passed a law to allow illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses earlier this year but it was held up by challenges.

Now it is set to take effect this week.

In typical leftist fashion, supporters claim this is going to somehow make New York’s roads safer for everyone.

Could it really be about voting?

FOX News reports:

Illegal immigrants to be able to get driver’s licenses in NY after legal challenge fails.

Illegal immigrants in New York will able to obtain driver’s licenses starting next week after a last-minute legal challenge was dismissed — making it the 13th state to allow the practice, but one that critics say is unconstitutional.

The Green Light Law, signed by Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo earlier this year, allows anyone to apply for a driver’s license regardless of immigration status and does not require a Social Security number.

Illegal immigrants can use a combination of documents that include a valid passport from a foreign country and a valid foreign driver’s license, as long as it has been expired for less than two years.

“After waiting 18 years to have their right to drive restored, thanks to our legislature, New York can now officially join 12 other states in making driver’s licenses legally available to all residents,” New York Immigration Coalition Executive Director Steve Choi said in a statement this week, arguing that it will make roads safer and the economy stronger.

County clerks in New York have concerns and are sounding an alarm.

CBS News in Albany reports:

County clerks concerned by loopholes in Green Light law.

Undocumented immigrants now have the green light to get a driver’s license in New York…but several county clerks in the Capital Region are concerned.

Saratoga County Clerk Craig Hayner said, “We found that everything we were concerned about as far as fraud and all sorts of other things are in that bill, in that regulation and we’re very concerned.”

Hayner tells CBS6’s Lynsey Smith there are a few loopholes in the Green Light Law.

Loopholes, such as a person coming in to get their license and not having to provide their social security number.

“That could lead to criminals coming from other states, coming in and use that as a way to defraud by just simply saying they don’t have a social security number…and that’s a very dangerous loophole,” replied Hayner.

Does anyone believe this is going to make New York safer or that this is really about driving?
