While President Barack Obama and his White House staff continue to boast of their victorious strategy in fighting the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), aPentagon spokesperson on Friday said that the Muslim terrorists, who are killing thousands of innocent Iraqis especially Christians and Yazidis, only lost a negligible amount of territory.

According to Rear Adm. John Kirby, the ISIS jihadists have lost about 1% of all the swaths of territory they had invaded and captured in Iraq since U.S. military started bombing missions last year. "I think we all recognize that it's a small percentage of the total right now. But we're only six [or] seven months into this thing, too," said Kirby. "ISIL had a big head start on us, coming into the summer. A pretty aggressive first quarter for those guys," he said.

As with the rest of the Obama administration, Adm. Kirby is always careful to use the name Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant or ISIL, rather the name Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). "The Obama White House is careful to avoid mentioning Syria since it's a sore point for the President, who 'drew a red line' and when Syrian President Al-Assad crossed it, Obama did absolutely nothing but talk a great fight. Talking doesn't make it when you're speaking from a position of weakness," said Muslim terrorism expert Laurence Palansky, a former counterterrorism training officer.

"During President Obama's State of the Union Address to the nation, you'd think we practically annihilated ISIS and were well on the way to regaining all of territory they hold. The fact is we are spending millions of dollars to bomb these Islamists sometimes spending a million bucks to kill one fighter," said Palansky.

Radio Free Syria asserts that there have been about "1300 airstrikes conducted within the last five months at $8.5 million per day for 1% of ISIS-captured territory...only another half-century and a few more trillion dollars till 'mission accomplished' in whatever remains of Iraq by then...."

The former al-Qaida in Iraq (AQI) morphed into ISIS when it started its campaign of terror in Syria in January 2014 and then crossed the Syrian border and moved into Iraq forcing its military and police to abandon towns and military bases. The US-led bombing sorties against ISIS positions in Iraq, but not Syria, began in early August last year. While Adm. Kirby claims about 6,000 ISIS jihadists were killed since August, he did admit that "it’s not the metric of success and it's not a metric that we're going to hang our hat on when it comes to the success of the strategy."

According to Press TV, the ISIL terrorists, some of whom were unknowingly trained by the CIA -- who believed they were freedom fighters seeking to overthrow the Syrian tyrant Al-Assad -- at a U.S. facility in Jordan in 2012. It was hoped the freedom fighters would topple the Syrian government, but now these U.S. trained fighters are engaged in crimes against humanity in the areas under their control.

They have been carrying out horrific acts of violence such as public decapitations and crucifixions against all communities, including Shiites, Sunnis, the non-Arab Kurds, and Christians. Recent reports claim that they areusing captured and enslaved women for sex and to use them for blood transfusions to save wounded terrorists.
