Key House Republican on Pulosi
impeachment pullback: 'I don't buy it.'
by Byron York
{washingtonexaminer.com} ~ Rep. Kevin Brady is the ranking Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee. As chairman in 2017, he pushed through the tax cuts that remain President Trump's top legislative achievement... Now, he's dealing with the role that Ways and Means might play in a possible Trump impeachment. It is the only House committee that is permitted by law to demand the president's tax returns from the Internal Revenue Service, and Democrats are currently taking steps to do just that. Brady and I discussed the committee's role in the Trump investigations in a conversation for a new podcast Tuesday morning, but we started off with the news that Speaker Nancy Pulosi has come out mostly against impeachment. Pulosi told the Washington Post that impeachment is simply too divisive for the country, unless there are grounds that are "so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan" that impeachment is justified. Brady doesn't believe her. "Respectfully, I don't buy it," he said. The reason, he explained, is not that he doubts Pulosi's sentiments. It is that he doubts her ability to impose her will on House Democrats. "The Speaker, while she controls the House, doesn't control her own party," Brady said. "And there is a real rush to impeachment here in the House. We're seeing that with Judiciary Committee chairman scumbag-liar Jerry Nadler, we're seeing it with the investigative committees, we're seeing it in the Ways and Means Committee." Brady pointed to recent moments when Democratic opposition forced Pulosi to back down from her personal positions. "The Speaker wasn't for term limits; her party forced her to do it. She wasn't for watering down the anti-Semitism resolution; her party forced her to do it. She's not for Medicare-for-all; she says her party is forcing her to do it."...

Lisa Page Testimony May Have Put scumbag/
liar-nObama AG Loretta Lynch In The Crosshairs
by Virginia Kruta
{dailycaller.com} ~ Republican Georgia Rep. Doug Collins released the private testimony of former FBI lawyer Lisa Page... but it’s former Attorney General Loretta Lynch who may feel the sting. According to Page’s testimony, which was made public on Tuesday, the FBI considered charging former Secretary of State scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton with gross negligence under 18 U.S. Code § 793 for her alleged handling of classified information.“We had multiple conversations with the Justice Department about bringing a gross negligence charge,” Page told Republican Texas Rep. John Ratcliffe. “And that’s, as I said, the advice that we got from the Department was that they did not think — that it was constitutionally vague and not sustainable.” Ratcliffe responded, “When you say advice you got from the Department, you’re making it sound like it was the Department that told you: ‘You’re not going to charge gross negligence because we’re the prosecutors and we’re telling you we’re not going to.'” “That’s correct,” Page answered. But if Page were telling the truth, and the FBI did recommend possible charges against scumbag/liar-Clinton, then Lynch may not have been telling the truth when she said that she would “accept their recommendations.”...
Build the Wall to Save Taxpayers Billions
by Betsy McCaughey
{spectator.org} ~ President Trump launched another battle for border wall funding on Monday, calling for $8.6 billion in his proposed federal budget for next year... Top Democrats came out swinging, bashing a border wall as “expensive and ineffective.” Truth is, Dems are not leveling with the public about the billions we’re already forced to spend on shelters, food, diapers, medical care, and child care for migrants sneaking across the border and claiming asylum. Not to mention the costs of public schooling and healthcare provided free to migrants once they are released into communities. The wall will pay for itself in less than two years. It’s a bargain. Look what it costs us when a Central American teen crosses the border illegally without an adult. Uncle Sam spends a staggering $775 per day for each teen housed at a shelter at Florida’s Homestead Air Reserve Base. There they get medical care, schooling, and recreation. They stay, on average, 67 days before being released to a sponsor. Do the math. That’s almost $52,000 per teen. American parents would appreciate the government spending that money on their kids. Imagine the government handing you a check for $52,000 for your teenager. There are bigger costs ahead. The number of illegal border crossers just hit an eleven-year high. More than 76,000 people in February alone. U.S. and Mexican officials predict hundreds of thousands more in the coming months. The migrants use the word “asylum” as their get-in-free card. When they say it to a border agent, about 80% of the time they’ll get taken into custody, housed temporarily, and eventually released with an immigration court date. But instead of showing up, over half then disappear into the U.S. They’re turning asylum into a scam...  https://spectator.org/build-the-wall-to-save-taxpayers-billions/?ut...

A brief history of Jew-hatred
by Clifford D. May
{washingtontimes.com} ~ A freshman member of Congress openly espouses bigotry toward Jews and Israel. Her fellow Democrats, with only a few exceptions, fail to forcefully condemn her words and views... Troubling to be sure, but let’s remember: This gnarly tree grows in an old, luxuriant and global forest. Examples? In Belgium last week, the annual Carnival parade included floats carrying oversize effigies of religious Jews, snarling men with big noses, sitting atop bags of money, one with a rat perched atop his shoulder. UNESCO, a United Nations agency ostensibly devoted to “the intellectual and moral solidarity of humanity,” recognized the parade as a cultural heritage event and declined to offer any criticism. The U.N., of course, has evolved into an organization that discriminates against Israel with consistency and vehemence. Also in Belgium last week, Mehdi Nemmouche, identified by the BBC as a “French-born jihadist,” was found guilty of murdering an Israeli couple and two staffers at a Jewish museum in Brussels five years ago. His lawyer had claimed the attack was actually “a targeted execution” by agents of the Mossad, Israel’s foreign intelligence agency. He didn’t bother to present evidence. Noted the BBC: “At one point the defense even argued that Nemmouche could not be considered anti-Semitic because he wore Calvin Klein shoes — an apparent reference to Mr. Klein’s Jewish heritage.” Violent crimes against Jews have been on the rise in Germany, France and Sweden. Britain’s Labor Party is led by Jeremy Corbyn, who last year attended an event by a group that calls Israel “a steaming pile of sewage, which needs to be properly disposed of.”...

Palestinians: Abbas Stands 'Trial' for Treason
by Khaled Abu Toameh
{gatestoneinstitute.org} ~ The Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas has made no secret of its desire to see Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas stand trial for betraying the Palestinians... for his alleged "collaboration" with Israel and sanctions against the Gaza Strip. Last year, a senior Hamas official, Ahmed Bahr, called for bringing Abbas to trial for "great treason" -- a crime punishable by death. Abbas is not only refusing to make peace with Hamas, he wants it to hand over its weapons to his government, Bahr said. "For that, he should be brought before a popular and constitutional court on charges of great treason." Earlier, another Hamas official, Marwan Abu Ras, called for Abbas to be executed by hanging in accordance with Islamic sharia law. Abu Ras, accusing Abbas of "collaboration" with Israel, claimed that the Palestinian president was depriving the Gaza Strip of international financial aid. "Abbas is the biggest traitor the Palestinian cause has known," he said. "He should be put on trial in the center of the Gaza Strip and sentenced to death by hanging in line with sharia law." Hamas's leaders are angry with Abbas: they say that he recognizes Israel's right to exist and is even prepared to accept US President Donald Trump's upcoming plan for peace in the Middle East, known as the "Deal of the Century." They also say they want to hang Abbas because his security forces conduct security coordination with Israel in the West Bank and because of the economic sanctions he imposed on the Gaza Strip. The sanctions include cutting salaries to thousands of Palestinian employees there. Above all, Hamas's leaders say the organization does not -- and will not -- recognize Israel's right to exist...  https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/13880/mahmoud-abbas-trial-treason

Trump to Allies: No More Free Lunch
Lewis Morris:  The Trump administration announced late last week that it is drawing up plans to make America’s allies more accountable for our defense of their nations. President Donald Trump argues — and for good reason — that too many countries are freeloading on American strength.

Trump is calling on Germany, Japan, and other nations that host U.S. troops for sustained periods to pay the full cost plus 50% for the privilege. Ever since the 2016 campaign, Trump has made an issue of the fact that many of America’s allies, particularly in NATO, do not even pay their agreed-upon share of the mutual defense pact.

Regulations stipulate that NATO members are to contribute a paltry 2% of their GDP, but last year only five of the alliance’s 29 members met that goal.

“It’s very unfair,” Trump said of NATO during the campaign. “They weren’t paying, so not only are we paying for most of it, but they weren’t even paying and we’re protecting them.”

After Trump was elected, he took his concerns to America’s NATO allies but was rejected. The Europeans tend to only like American presidents who don’t ask anything of them. That’s why leftist “citizens of the world” like Barack Obama are so popular across the Pond.

Trump’s call for cost plus 50% might seem steep, and it would mean a significant increase in payments in some countries, but this is likely the art of the deal at work. The high starting percentage allows for negotiating room for lower, but justifiable, payments that would satisfy Trump and help alleviate some of America’s defense costs.

Another possibility is that Trump may be using this proposal as cover to end American military commitments in certain countries. If some nations can’t afford the rent, they may just ask American troops to withdraw.

This proposal to start billing our allies for defending them has been a long time coming. Western Europe, Japan, and many other American allies around the globe have profited from our protection for decades. Our heavy spending has allowed them the luxury to funnel their resources away from defense and toward other things.

During the Cold War, not many questioned this arrangement. America encircled the world with military bases, naval fleets, infantry, and artillery to hinder the spread of communism and to protect free peoples. It worked, and it it served U.S. vital national security interests.

One problem that developed out of the Pax Americana, however, was complacent indigenous populations. A poll conducted in Europe last year found that not one nation among NATO’s core members has a majority of citizens who would fight for their country under any circumstances. That’s a sad state of affairs.

Europe as a continent has been slowly slipping into history’s dustbin for the last 25 years. It’s being overrun by jihadists who are setting up their own enclaves and enforcing sharia law. It steadfastly refuses to address an illegal immigrant problem. It’s governed by a bloated bureaucracy that is economically stifling the entire continent. It has an aging population because adults are having too much fun being children instead of growing up and actually having some. Germany and other countries are willingly beholding themselves to Russia’s Gazprom conglomerate for fuel.

Most of Europe’s problems are of its own making, and, some might say, if Europeans want to run their continent into the ground, so be it. To each their own. Some might also ask, if the Europeans aren’t interested in their own defense, then why should America be concerned? America remains the mightiest military power on Earth, but we can only do so much. Helping people who can’t help themselves is one thing. Helping people who refuse to help themselves is asking for trouble.

If Trump gets his way, we could still economically protect our ungrateful allies — which is still in our national interest to do. We’ll just send them the bill. But how would Americans feel about sending our sons and daughters overseas to fight a war if the indigenous people we’re sent to protect aren’t invested in their own security?

It’s high time that our allies started paying their already agreed upon share for their own defense.  ~The Patriot Post

‘Watch: Female HS Student Says She ‘Felt Violated’ After Seeing Trans Student’s Penis In Locker Room

“I could tell that he was wearing women’s underwear and what was underneath it”

A Pennsylvania student attending Honesdale High School has filed a complaint with the United States Department of Education Office of Civil Rights after her school administrators allowed a trans woman, a biological male who feels he is a woman, to dress and undress in the female locker room.

The student said she felt violated and scared when she looked across the aisle in the locker room to discover a member of the opposite sex in his underwear. In a video released by her legal team, she says it was obvious he was biologically male, as she “could tell that he was wearing women’s underwear and what was underneath it.”

“It was the first period, and I had gym class,” said the student, “And I walked in with all my friends, and while I was putting on my pants, I heard a man’s voice, so I turned around, and he’s standing there on the opposite aisle looking at me.”

“I glanced down and I could tell that he was wearing women’s underwear, and what was beneath it.”

She added that having a man apparently gawking at her while in various stages of undress made her feel unsafe.

“When I knew that a man was looking at me, I felt very violated, and very scared,” she said. “Especially looking at me while I am getting dressed.”

Her attorney said that this should be considered a form of sexual harassment in the eyes of the law.

“Opening up restrooms and locker room facilities to members of the opposite sex is sexual harassment,” said Andrea Shaw, the high school student’s attorney, “And like many forms of sexual harassment the girls in this school have little power over their situation.”

The attorney also notes that the school’s only attempt to remedy the situation was to allow the female high school student to wait to change until the biologically male student was finished, making her chronically late to gym class.

According to local media, the school district’s superintendent claims he is not able to comment on the case, but stated that the school is following the letter of the law. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court is expected to take up the case, otherwise biologically male students will continue to be allowed to dress and undress with biologically females.
