The California Democrat currently disgracing himself and embarrassing his party as chairman of the House Intelligence Committee... circulated an equally embarrassing warning to his Republican colleagues this week, aimed at protecting the worst kept secret in Washington. The name of Eric Ciaramella, the CIA intelligence analyst widely suspected of being the “whistleblower” behind the whole impeachment effort, was not to be mentioned. The warning came in the form of a memo from scumbag-Schiff to the Intelligence Committee members, insinuating scumbag-Schiff could make real trouble with the House Ethics Committee for any representative who even thought about revealing Ciaramella’s name in public. But scumbag-Schiff being scumbag-Schiff, the threat was also couched in language he can always deny. In the memo, scumbag-Schiff described the committee’s history with whistleblowers: “The Committee has a long, proud, and bipartisan history of protecting whistleblowers -- including from efforts to threaten, intimidate, retaliate against, or undermine Eric Ciaramella” during the course of the proceedings. Use of the name would apparently be taken as a willful violation of the rule that members “shall behave at all times in a manner that shall reflect creditably on the House.” “The Committee on Ethics has historically viewed this provision as ‘encompassing violations of law and abuses of one’s official position,’” scumbag-Schiff wrote. Despite hysterical accusations by Democrats of extortion or a mysterious “quid pro quo” that is evidenced nowhere in the transcript of the call, the Democratic Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee is determined to pursue his baseless inquisition with nothing more than opinion witnesses offering speculation built on multiple hearsay. This is impeachment by rumor and innuendo.The first two witnesses at the public hearing on Wednesday will be William Taylor, the acting ambassador to Ukraine, and George Kent, the deputy assistant secretary of state. Factually, they are not witnesses at all. They heard and repeated the equivalent of gossip from a chattering class of diplomats, then made erroneous assumptions that are belied by the only relevant and reliable evidence –a transcript of the Trump-Zelensky conversation. It is incumbent on Republicans to pose succinct questions that will expose scumbag-Schiff’s charade of witnesses. Cross-examination is often referred to as “the engine of truth.” If done properly, it is the only effective method to test both substance and credibility. While there are many questions that should be posed, here are five that should not be overlooked: Isn’t it true that you have no firsthand or direct knowledge from President Trump that he ever demanded from President Zelensky a promise to investigate loose lips liar-Joe and Hunter Biden in exchange for U.S. military aid?Isn’t it true that your “belief” or “understanding” that aid was linked to a loose lips liar-Biden investigation a so-called “quid pro quo” was based on what other diplomats said or what you surmised? The Justice Department’s watchdog is nearing the release of its report on the early stages of the FBI’s Russia investigation, a document likely to revive debate about a politically charged probe that shadowed President Donald Trump’s administration from the outset. The inspector general in recent days has invited witnesses and their lawyers who were interviewed for the report to review portions of a draft this week and next, a critical final step toward making the document public, according to multiple people familiar with the process who insisted on anonymity to discuss it. As part of that process, the people will have opportunities to raise concerns or suggest potential edits, making it unclear precisely when in the coming weeks a final version could be ready for release. Inspector General Michael Horowitz told Congress in a letter last month that he did not expect a lengthy review period and that he intended to make as much of the report public as possible, with minimal redactions. Generally speaking, and using the 2018 IG report on FBI conduct as a guide, the ‘Principal Review’ phase under Horowitz usually lasts 10 business days, or two weeks. Take all reporting on this two-week review phase with a grain of salt. Despite the NDA’s there will be a rush to control the narrative. “People familiar with the matter” will start popping up in the Washington Post, New York Times, Politico, Buzzfeed and CNN. There is likely to be a flood of spin from the PR teams behind each principal outlined in the report. Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar threatened to use many of the missiles the group has stockpiled to destroy the city of Tel Aviv in a recent speech broadcast on Hamas-run television and translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute. "We now have hundreds of kilometers of underground tunnels," Sinwar was quoted as saying in his Nov. 4 remarks. "We have many hundreds of control-and-command rooms, both underground and above ground." Israel was deluged Monday evening by at least 150 rockets fired from terror outposts. A number of those rockets struck areas populated by Israeli citizens, prompting schools to shutter for the first time since the early 1990s. The major escalation hit after the Israeli Defense Forces assassinated a top Palestinian terror leader. Sinwar claimed in his remarks that the group, which is partially supported by Iran, has the ability to launch surprise attacks on Israel from underground."We have hundreds and thousands of traps, and if the enemy so much as thinks to enter the Gaza Strip, our sons will go out…. Many are entitled to keep the jobs indefinitely once they are in them. Tensions between the Trump administration and employees in the foreign service and international organizations — including some that serve at the pleasure of the president — have repeatedly come to the fore in recent weeks. When President Donald Trump addressed the U.S. Mission to the United Nations on Sept. 26, “someone laughed loudly,” while others “spoke in hushed murmurs,” The Washington Post reported. The mission consists of U.S. government employees interacting with the U.N., while some Americans also occupy jobs at the U.N. itself. The Americans who work in top jobs at international organizations wield significant influence and ordinarily get the jobs with the backing of the administration, Brett D. Schaefer, a United Nations expert at the Heritage Foundation who serves as a U.N. official after being nominated by Trump, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. But because the slots aren’t federal jobs, they do not appear on the organizational chart of U.S. agencies and amount to some of the government’s more obscure nooks and crannies, he said. Incoming presidents dole out some 4,100 federal jobs listed in the “Plum Book” to political appointees who share the president’s policy views. But inside the State Department, there is also an international version of the Plum Book, listing roles at the many trans-national organizations where U.S. leaders can place their people, Schaefer said. Political Editors: Like something out of a dystopian science-fiction story, more than 11,000 “scientists” from 153 nations recently signed a petition declaring that climate change would bring “untold human suffering” that is “unavoidable” unless drastic action is immediately taken. And what is the drastic action these “scientists” advocate? A socialist tyranny that would end capitalism by stopping all economic growth and … human population control. Why is it that socialists’ solutions invariably call for less stuff, fewer people, and restricted freedom?
As David Harsanyi notes, “Basically, these scientists are advocating for the Green New Deal: a collection of ludicrous solutions wholly unconcerned with economic tradeoffs or political reality. The plan treats nature and people as moral equals, imagining them in an apartment-dwelling, plant-based-food-eating, bicycle-riding society where well-being is administered ‘by prioritizing basic needs and reducing inequality’ — which doesn’t sound creepy or authoritarian at all.”
Oh, the glaring irony in warning of “untold human suffering.” That’s exactly what would be brought by the socialist “solutions” to climate change — solutions that are responsible for creating some of the worst human suffering and misery the world has ever known. So, in order to save the planet and keep humanity from suffering, millions must die.
It’s the overpopulation myth. Harsanyi observes, “‘Overpopulation’ is routinely cited by journalists — who often live in the densest, yet miraculously, the wealthiest, places on earth — as a problem. Yet, if density were itself causing human suffering, Monaco, as Nicholas Eberstadt once pointed out, with its 16,000 people per square kilometer, would be a far bleaker place than Bangladesh, with its 1,000 people per square kilometer.”
The truth, is the greater number of humans existing, the greater amount of human capital leading to greater intellectual capacity to find and develop solutions to the myriad of problems facing humanity and the world. Stopping all modern economics and artificially limiting and controlling the human population will only serve to greatly increase human suffering, not lessen it. Thanks in large part to the spread of capitalism, the number of individuals living in abject poverty across the globe has been halved since the year 2000, even as the population of the planet has continued to increase. ~The Patriot Post
