{ washingtonexaminer.com } ~ President Trump’s former national security adviser, Michael Flynn, is set to campaign for a Montana Republican... making this his second campaign appearance for a GOP candidate in the months after he pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI as part of the special counsel's Russian investigation. "It is time to stand up for our #American Heroes," Air Force veteran and Republican Senate candidate, Troy Downing tweeted. "I am excited to announce that American Patriot @GenFlynn will be joining me in #Montana very soon. Details to come!" If elected Senator, Downing has repeatedly promised to support Trump’s agenda. Using Flynn as a campaign surrogate could be seen as a pledge to that. This follows Flynn's appearance at a March campaign event for Omar Navarro, a Republican competing to unseat Rep. mad-Maxine Waters, D-Calif., in the 2018 midterm election...

Congress Pursues liar-Clinton for Hiding Fusion GPS Payments

{ amgreatness.com } ~ As I reported here, the Campaign Legal Center filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission last year alleging... that liar-Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee violated campaign finance laws by not revealing their payments to Fusion GPS. In an October 25, 2017 filing with the FEC, the watchdog group accused the liar-Hillary for America campaign and DNC of failing to “accurately disclose the purpose and recipient of payments for the dossier…effectively hiding these payments from public scrutiny.” The complaint was filed one day after the Washington Post confirmed that both entities paid Perkins Coie – a politically-connected law firm – to retain Fusion GPS to conduct opposition research on Donald Trump, which resulted in the infamous dossier. But the FEC could not confirm whether an investigation is being conducted: “A provision of federal campaign finance law requires that any Commission action on an enforcement matter be kept strictly confidential until the case is resolved,” FEC spokesman Christian Hilland told me via email this morning. If any action had been taken, the findings would be posted on the commission’s website; no investigation related to the Center’s complaint is currently listed.  According to the Center, the liar-Clinton campaign and DNC paid Perkins Coie more than $12 million during the 2016 election cycle; all payments were recorded as “legal services.” No payments to Fusion GPS were itemized on disclosure reports by either group. Corey Goldstone, a spokesman for the Campaign Legal Center, told me via email that “normally, a campaign files a report with the FEC listing the people and companies it paid money to and what that money was for. The liar-Clinton campaign and the DNC did not comply with their legal obligation to disclose their payments to Fusion for opposition research. Instead, they concealed the fact that any payments were made to Fusion at all.” Goldstone said the complaint is still pending at the FEC. Now Congress is stepping in...

{ eaglerising.com } ~ The Inspector General’s report on Andrew McCabe reveals a phone call he got reprimanding him for the liar-Clinton Foundation investigation... In August 2016, amid an ongoing liar-Clinton Foundation investigation, FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe received a phone call from the principal associate deputy attorney general Matthew Axelrod. Whatever McCabe’s problems, he told the IG that he considered that call way over the line. Axelrod was angry with the FBI for investigating the liar-Clinton Foundation and was calling to say so. Other experts agree with McCabe that such a call is wrong. Yet Axelrod did it anyway. Did he act on his own without fearing any possible consequences? Or was he ordered or pressured to try to get the investigation stopped? The Washington Times reports, “ liar-nObama Justice Dept.’s attempts to influence investigations exposed in McCabe probe.”...

IEA Declares OPEC Has Accomplished
Its Mission: Oil Is Now “Balanced”

{ thenewamerican.com } ~ “It’s not for us to declare on behalf of the Vienna agreement the OPEC production-cut agreement in force since January 2017... that it is ‘mission accomplished’, but if our outlook is accurate, it certainly looks very much like it,” said the International Energy Agency (IEA) last week. Those production cuts, aided by the rolling disaster in Venezuela that continues to take crude oil production off the world market, have, according to the IEA, brought down the world’s crude oil stocks within shouting distance of OPEC’s goal: the five-year average of those stocks. Compliance among members of the OPEC cartel and its friends including Russia has been extraordinarily high, with Saudi Arabia helping things along by cutting its own production far more deeply than the agreement called for. U.S. production, estimated to approach 11 million barrels a day by the end of the year twice what it was just seven years ago, has been unable to match the production cuts and worldwide demand, which has greatly surprised to the upside...

Senior Iranian Official Boasts of IRGC Presence Abroad

{ investigativeproject.org } ~ Iran will not back down from supporting terrorist proxies in the region and spreading its Islamic ideology abroad... a senior official in Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has reiterated. IRGC's operations "are not limited to Iran," Ali Fadavi, the IRGC's naval commander, said in an interview Monday with the Farsi language Jamaran site and reported by Al Arabiya. Fadavi openly discussed the fact that IRGC operatives are currently "fighting the enemy thousands of kilometers away from our borders" – an offensive force posture seen as "necessary" to spread Iran's revolutionary ideology. "Guarding the Islamic revolution does not only mean guarding one country and one government, i.e. Iran. The IRGC's primary objective is not protecting Iran's national security, he said, but to spread Shi'a Islamist ideology across the entire Middle East and Muslim world....

Tale of Two Protests 9lurlJqsv1rOIdVZuAaKy9R5TSacZusbuaN-Iowc2wqaCXx9hAxyd94ZaFinnflT0N6cpepzsULWWCbpkhMvI1jCbpTzanGrSNjicntAx1jUSZeRsBFRe4bHR0QIT8F1kWQp85MJRzV2V69WlBdQdPV7aELHGkamRk7L1ZJiaHA=s0-d-e1-ft#%3Ca%20rel%3Dnofollow%20href=?width=450by Thomas Gallatin:  Over the weekend, a small band of approximately two dozen neo-Nazi white supremacists gathered for a public rally in Newnan, Georgia, a small town just 38 miles southwest of Atlanta. Similar to the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, last year, counterdemonstrators showed up to protest against the white supremacists. Many of those counterprotesters were members of the violent, extreme leftist group antifa. Recall that last year’s rally turned violent as members of both groups clashed, leading to the death of one young woman who was murdered by a white supremacist when he drove his vehicle into a group of counterprotesters. The incident created a national outcry, especially from Democrats and the mainstream media, who blamed President Donald Trump for creating a toxic environment and for failing to condemn white supremacists. Trump did in fact condemn the message and behavior of white supremacists, but he also called out the violence of antifa, something the MSM would not tolerate.
Back to the recent Newnan rally, which, thanks to advanced planning by city officials, included a heavy police presence and clearly designated areas for protesters. That helped prevent any opportunity for violent clashes, and only 10 antifa counterprotesters were arrested for failing to remove their masks. Prior to the event, Georgia Republican Lt. Gov. (and gubernatorial candidate) Casey Cagle said he was “praying for Newnan.” He added, “We must condemn the bigotry spread by hate groups. Our thoughts are with Sheriff Yeager, city officials, and all law enforcement officers who are working to protect residents and we hope the protests remains nonviolent.” Since the rally and counterprotest occurred without any violence, the mainstream media gave it little national attention.
So what made the outcomes between Newnan and Charlottesville so different? The simple answer is politics. In Charlottesville, leftists, led by a politically motivated mayor, saw an opportunity to conflate the controversy surrounding the decision to remove Confederate statues with those advocating white supremacy — they rolled it all together and indicted Trump for stoking racism. City officials sympathetic to their cause took little action in keeping the protesters and counterprotesters from violently attacking each other. It resulted in an escalation that left one young woman dead. After the violence, Democrats and the MSM laid blame for it solely at the feet of the white supremacists while excoriating Trump for his statement that both sides bore blame.
Newnan city officials by contrast preserved both civility and Americans’ First Amendment rights. It’s exactly what we should expect from our elected officials — not political posturing, but enforcement of the law. The trouble is no one will remember Newnan, while the narrative surrounding Charlottesville lives on.   ~The Patriot Post
