{ cms.frontpagemag.com } ~ Our age loves scientific equations. Here's one you weren't taught at college but which affects you as much as the law of gravity... GI - W = E  Good Intentions (GI) minus Wisdom (W) leads to Evil (E). You weren't taught this rule at college because the modern university believes only science has rules. "Rules of life" is another term for wisdom, and there is no wisdom — or even pursuit of wisdom — at our universities. Life has rules just like the natural sciences do. Examples include: Ingratitude makes happiness impossible. Corrupt people think everyone else is as corrupt as they are. Human nature is not basically good. Feelings are far less important than actions. Most men need a woman to mature. Most women need a man to mature. The list is long. And the more life rules people know and live by the better people they'll be — the better the world will be. There is a reason Jordan Peterson's book "12 Rules for Life" has sold millions of copies, mostly to young people. It is the same reason PragerU has a billion views a year, mostly among people under 35. Many young people are sensing they have been cheated by the adults that have taught them, for example, to pursue self-esteem rather than self-control — a "rule" guaranteed to lead to moral and professional failure. But one rule almost no one was taught, that explains most organized evil and the left in particular, from the Bolsheviks to Mao to Castro to Chavez to your everyday leftist in New York or Iowa: Good intentions without wisdom leads to evil. Communism, the greatest mass murder ideology in history, was for almost all its rank-and-file supporters rooted in their desire to do good. This was rarely true for its leaders, whose greatest desire was power. The many millions of people all over the world who supported communism did not think they were supporting unprecedented levels of mass murder and torture or an equally unprecedented deprivation of the most fundamental human rights of a substantial percentage of humanity. They thought they were moral, building a beautiful future for humanity — eliminating inequality, enabling people to work as hard or as little as they wanted, providing their fellow citizens "free" education and "free" health care. They were convinced that the moral arc of history was bending in their direction and that they were good because their motives were good. That's why leftists have such moral contempt for those who differ with them. Because those on the left are so good, only bad human beings could possibly oppose them. That is the position of virtually every editor and columnist at The New York Times...    https://cms.frontpagemag.com/fpm/274901/equation-explains-evil-dennis-prager

Oil Attack Warrants Response

{ newsmax.com } ~ There must be a response to the strikes on Saudia Arabian oil installations, but it cannot come from the U.S. alone... according to Bill O'Reilly on Newsmax TV. "The president has to lead the world here," O'Reilly told "The Wayne Allyn Root Show." "You don't want the U.S. attacking Iran, because that would never go down. So, he's got to be deliberate in this and methodical, but something has to be done." O'Reilly ripped the hypocrisy of those preemptively criticizing President Donald Trump for standing with Saudi Arabia. It is not about oil, it is about supporting an ally, he added. "We, the United States, are energy independent, and who would like to dismantle that?" O'Reilly told how Wayne Allyn Root. "Does the Democratic Party sound familiar? "They would like to dismantle the fact that we're self sufficient in energy through fracking, natural gas, and oil exploration. Democratic Party would like to put an end to that. They want to do away with all of it – so put us back into dependence."

{ lidblog.com } ~ Yet another serious physical attack on a Jewish man took place on August 31. This time it was in the Maywood section of Brooklyn, New York... According to a tweet by former New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind, “A young Jewish man was called a expletive Jew and then belted over the head with a metal buckle!”And this assault happened while police were still busy investigating two other hate crimes against religious Jewish men from just the week prior: In Crown Heights, Brooklyn, a man hit a rabbi in the face with a paving stone, broke his nose and knocked out two of his front teeth. Also, in Crown Heights, just two days later, several suspects threw ice at an Orthodox Jewish man who was sitting in traffic, severely injuring his eye. This is a stark, ugly reminder that violent anti-Semitism is a growing trend in America. Unfortunately, due to the political discord, and the terrible rhetoric flying out from all directions, it has become fashionable again to speak and physically lash out at Jews. As our enemies clamor for more violence, we as a community cannot afford the luxury of apathy and smugness. We have to start uniting the various segments of the Jewish community…and not only because of street violence. Our enemies are more united than we are and dangerous extremists are bursting forth to continue the spiral of violence, whatever their motives. The haters are not going to bother to determine if you are religious or non-religious. The extremists will not give pause to determine if you are more liberal or conservative, Sefardi, or Ashkenazi. Nor will they care if a Jew is white, black, Asian, or Hispanic. They are color blind when it comes to hatred and doesn’t distinguish on how we affiliate, or not. Know this. The more we ignore the broader fragmented landscape of Jewish life, the more they can lash out with impunity. While of course, personal self-defense training is an extremely useful response to street violence, there is more that must be done. We must change the thinking of the Jewish community.  We cannot fight this the “old” way of depending on law enforcement, studies of the causes of anti-Semitism, coffee with local church groups, and meetings with political officials...   https://lidblog.com/jewish-unity/
Democrats and the Media Seek

{ americanthinker.com } ~ Watching this year's 9/11 remembrances on TV, it was heartwarming to hear commentators repeatedly use “we” and “our” when referring to Americans and America... Commentators said that on September 11, 2001, “our” country was viciously attacked by Islamist terrorists. They said, “we” came together as a nation. A WWII vet said the unity of our nation on 9/11 felt the same to him as it did during WWII. Rather than unifying Americans, each 2020 Democrat presidential candidate is campaigning on dividing us into bogus victimized voting blocs. They seek to convince every American that they are a victim in one way or another; a victim of racism, sexism, white privilege, environmental racism, income inequality, and so on. The tag team of Democrats and fake news media are promoting the insane lie that the earth will be inhabitable in 12 years unless we elect a Democrat president. Delusional Democrats and fake news media actually believe they can win the White House by dividing Americans, encouraging blacks to hate whites, women to hate men, and homosexuals to hate heterosexuals. Democrats believe it is immoral to refer to America as “our” country. We have allowed old hippies to teach our children the lie that America ravaged the world for our prosperity. Therefore, it is only fair that we abandon borders, sharing our ill-gotten wealth with the world. Democrats also believe allowing needy unskilled people to freely invade our country will increase Democrat voter registration. My wife Mary and I moved to a tiny town in West Virginia, population 500, which we have affectionately nicknamed, “Trump Country USA”. In honor of 9/11, Main Street in our town was decorated with American flags. The marquee of the small public library read, “Never Forget 9/11”. Students were encouraged to come to school attired in red, white, blue, and American flags. Students were taught history lessons about patriotism. This is the polar opposite of California schools banning American flag attire on Mexican holidays because it is offensive to illegal alien students. Democrats and fake news media say displays of patriotism are insensitive, racist, and hateful. Shockingly, the U.S. flag was not seen on stage during the televised ABC Democrat presidential debate. Democrat-controlled schools divide Americans by teaching black students to resent white students, absurdly claiming that whites are “born racist.” Students are taught to hate their country. In their ongoing evil mission to demonize America and divide Americans, Democrats and fake news media say the election of President Trump proves that widespread racism is alive and well, particularly in rural America. As I stated, Mary and I live in a tiny town. We are a black/white interracial couple, married over 40 years...  https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2019/09/democrats_and_the_media_seek_to_divide_americans.html
'Climate Change': A Leftist Excuse to
Redistribute Wealth and Destroy the West
By Ferdinand Bardamu
{ americanthinker.com } ~ The "Church of Climate Change" demands that Western nations impose restrictions on industrial CO2 emissions, encouraging them to squander billions on unreliable "green" technologies and renewable sources of energy... They continue to ignore the one policy that has significantly increased atmospheric CO2 levels in the last few decades, generating hundreds of millions of metric tons of the stuff annually: mass third-world immigration. If the IPCC were objective, it would demand an end to mass immigration instead of more carbon taxes and emissions trading. Such indifference in the face of the evidence shows that they care more about racially dispossessing whites than they do about "saving the planet." So what is the ulterior motive? To further understand what this may be, we must examine the career of Canadian businessman Maurice Strong (1929–2015). Thanks to his tireless "lobbying behind the scenes," the U.N. has played a key role in forging a "consensus" on man-made global warming. In a sense, he was the right man at the right time. Besides his ability to manipulate others, Strong was aided by other factors, such as the collapse of Soviet communism in the early 1990s. This helped pave the way for the emergence of a new leftist orthodoxy: environmentalism. Strong was an ardent believer in the efficacy of state redistributive policies. In 1976, Strong told Maclean's magazine: "I am a socialist in ideology, a capitalist in methodology." Like his socialism, his environmentalism was also pragmatic rather than ideological. Its purpose was to advance his vision of global governance under the aegis of the U.N. In a 1992 essay, he wrote: "It is simply not feasible for sovereignty to be exercised unilaterally by individual nation-states, however powerful. It is a principle which will yield only slowly and reluctantly to the imperatives of global environmental cooperation." Strong was the most active and influential member of the Brundtland Commission, established by the U.N. General Assembly in 1983. The Commission's report, Our Common Future, was published in 1987. Strong helped formulate the report's concept of "sustainable development." This was a call for social and economic egalitarianism within a simple Marxist dialectical framework. The antagonism between capitalist and proletarian worker mirrored the antagonism between industrialized and developing nations. The First World was identified as the primary culprit behind third-world underdevelopment. Its need for raw materials forced developing countries to over-exploit and deplete their natural resources, leading to more environmental degradation and underdevelopment. The solution is more money to the developing world from rich Western nations...  https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2019/09/climate_change_a_leftist_excuse_to_redistribute_wealth_and_destroy_the_west.html

Brian Mark Weber:  More than a year after an expelled student opened fire on unsuspecting classmates and staff in a Florida high school, questions remain unanswered. Ever since the Feb. 14, 2018 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, an ardently anti-Second Amendment media has focused on a few like-minded teenage “survivors” (one in particular who might not have even been at school that day) turned gun-control advocates instead of the victims and their families. As a result, no one has asked the hard questions — such as why schools continue to fail to protect their students and teachers, and how school boards and administrators may actually be putting our children at risk.

Max Eden and Andrew Pollack (whose own daughter was killed in the shooting) have co-authored a book entitled  Why Meadow Died: The People and Policies that Created the Parkland Shooter and Endanger America’s Students. The book spells out in chilling detail how school officials turned a blind eye to behavior that should have spurred them to action many times over.

Let’s be clear: The adolescent murderer of 17 innocent people didn’t snap in a moment of rage. And nothing he did on that fateful day surprised anyone who knew him. In fact, it’s likely that many were surprised it didn’t happen sooner.

Eden and Pollack write at The New York Post, “[His] records suggest that his reign of terror at Westglades Middle School began halfway through his seventh-grade year, in February of 2013. For the next calendar year, [he] was suspended every other day. Why did the school allow him to remain enrolled despite his daily, deranged behavior for a full year? Not by negligence, but by policy.”

They add, “Students with disabilities are supposed to be educated in the ‘least restrictive environment’ possible, regardless of whether their disability is that they’re dyslexic or a psychopath, and the paperwork requirements to send them to a specialized school can take many months.”

Despite a laundry list of truly disturbing incidents, the future assailant was allowed to enroll at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High after a brief period of good behavior. And while the mainstream media tried to convince the rest of us that gun control alone would have stopped this slaughter, the facts paint a far more disturbing picture of negligence on behalf of school officials. Indeed, Eden and Pollack highlight distressing trends in public schools across the country, where the most deeply troubled students are free to do the most awful things.

Apparently, the loss of life in Parkland did little to stop California Democrats from making sure the next school shooter will have a safe place to shed more blood. There, Democrat Gov. scumbag-Gavin Newsom recently signed  into law a bill prohibiting schools from suspending students in grades 4-8 for disruptive behavior. Previously, the ban on suspensions only applied to elementary-school children. The new law also stops charter schools from taking students out of the classroom. Supporters of this ill-conceived measure claim that sending these students home disproportionately affects students of color and those with disabilities.

Florida’s Broward County, home to the Parkland massacre, is known across the nation for having followed Barack scumbag/liar-nObama’s preferred policy to reduce suspensions and expulsions — without having reduced troublesome behavior. In schools like Stoneman Douglas, it’s apparently more important to appease various social and political groups than to protect students. Such policies ensured that Broward County would keep its name in the national headlines, albeit with unspeakably tragic results.

It could have been different.

Robert Verbruggen writes at National Review, “Against standard practice, the school’s principal had decided no one could call a Code Red but him, to avoid false alarms that could bring bad PR, and the principal was gone that day. Most notoriously, school resource officer Scot Peterson hid outside the building the entire time rather than confronting the shooter. The shooting could have been stopped years before it started and could have played out differently. Every step of the way, officials failed. These failures were sure to result in a catastrophe of some kind, if not necessarily a massacre.” Verbruggen notes several other key factors that contributed to the lack of security at the school.

We can’t place all the blame on the school’s officials, however. The entire community failed the victims and their families, from the local sheriff’s office to mental health professionals to the FBI.

Sure, some students can be paired with school counselors who can effectively treat them and return them to the classroom. But there are exceptions, and we should have policies in place to address those exceptions. Clearly, the Parkland killer was an exception.

It’s far too easy to blame guns for the rash of violent school shootings. Moreover, politicizing these atrocities does nothing but distract from addressing their root causes. We can only hope that Eden and Pollack’s book will lead an effective discussion about how to spot and stop these school shooters before the trigger is pulled.   ~The Patriot Post
