{thefederalist.com} ~ With dirty cop-Robert Mueller’s report complete and the special counsel’s conclusion that neither President Trump nor anyone associated with his campaign conspired or coordinated with Russia... to influence the 2016 presidential election, or to hack scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton and Democratic National Committee (DNC) emails, it is time for the president’s critics to accept reality: There was no Trump-Russia collusion. There was, however, a scandalous abuse of the rule of law by scumbag/liar-nObama administration officials and career Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation employees, a shameful politicization of the Russia investigation by congressional Democrats, and a disgraceful abdication of journalistic integrity by many members of the media. While we still do not know the entire string of shenanigans pulled by those running the Russia collusion investigation, the details exposed to date should shock Americans. The DOJ and FBI used unverified opposition research to obtain a court order to surveil a former Trump advisor, and thereby obtain access to past campaign communiques. In applying for the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) order, the DOJ and FBI did not disclose to the secret surveillance court that the DNC and scumbag/liar-Clinton funded the Christopher Steele dossier. The FISA application also did not inform the court of Steele’s bias and his desperation to keep Trump out of the White House. And Congress Is Ignoring It

{thefederalist.com} ~ Since the National Emergencies Act became law in 1976, U.S. presidents have declared more than 50 emergencies. More than 30 are ongoing... In the past, presidents of both parties have used their emergency powers to reallocate federal funds, reassign government employees, and build infrastructure to protect Americans from terrorist attacks, weapons of mass destruction, and drug cartels. Our country has been in a continuous state of emergency for nearly four decades, not that Congress ever noticed. Not once has Congress reviewed a single declaration in a timely manner, as the law requires. Not a single time have members, who routinely vote to fund all sorts of unauthorized, constitutionally questionable federal programs, voted to terminate one of these declarations. Congress originally granted presidents broad authority to declare emergencies undefined in legislation because emergencies are unpredictable by nature. As our Founders understood, the idea that Congress should forever deliberate over a possible military action could leave our country defenseless in the face of immediate danger. Also, constitutionally speaking, the presidency has inherent power to direct the military, the main purpose of which is to defend U.S. territory. If foreign adversaries were to suddenly attack Texas or California, is there any doubt the commander-in-chief should have the power to act without committee hearings first? Finally, Congress has never voted to disapprove an emergency declaration, because the most political branch of government prefers to delay or deny its responsibilities and grouse later...House Democrats Nix Born Alive
Bill For A 20th Time

{dailycaller.com} ~ House Democrats nixed Republicans’ request for unanimous consent to bring the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act... to a vote for a 20th time Monday. Republican Georgia Rep. Rick Allen made the call for unanimous consent Monday. Numerous Republican representatives have made the same petition to consider the bill. A failed Senate vote on a counterpart bill drew major attention in late February. After the 17th rejection, House Republican leaders announced their strategy to bring the anti-infanticide legislation to the floor March 13. They plan to bypass Democrats with a discharge petition, which would allow the House to vote with only an absolute majority, Minority Whip Steve Scalise said. “I’m calling on every member of Congress to sign the discharge petition when it ripens in a few weeks so that we can bring this bill to the floor, have this debate where all the country can see that this process, this grisly process, barbaric process of murdering babies when they are born alive is legal in many states and, in fact, needs to be stopped,” Scalise said....

{thefederalist.com} ~ The media and diehard resistance Democratic politicians and pundits are going to do the same thing with the obstruction of justice issue they did for two years with collusion... It’s beginning with the invention of the false narrative that there’s a “fight” with Attorney General William Barr over releasing the special counsel investigation report to Congress. It’s the old political hackery of demanding the inevitable. Everybody knows Barr will release everything he can lawfully disclose, and it seems at the moment that most of the obstruction evidence is derived from President Trump’s public actions and statements, which suggests evidence was obtained outside of otherwise restricted grand jury or classified channels and is releasable. As with the two-year collusion narrative debacle, they’re projecting onto Barr all of their hopes and wishes of scandal, then packaging their unsubstantiated assumptions into a cable news panel argument as if it were actually occurring. It’s not. As Barr clearly stated in his letter to Congress, “I am mindful of the public interest in this matter. For that reason, my goal and intent is to release as much of the Special Counsel’s report as I can consistent with applicable law, regulations, and Departmental policies.” Nothing about that statement says anything resembling what we’re hearing now from pundits and Democratic politicians talking about a “fight” to pry this information out of the clutches of a resistant attorney general....

{tommclaughlin.blogspot.com} ~ Americans got excited about two things last week: the arrival of spring on Wednesday and the release of the Mueller Report on Friday. However, not much change is noticeable in either case. 
Politics have always interested me. They still do, but I’m increasingly put off by breathless, sensational reporting on radio as well as affected eyebrow-raising and forehead-knitting by pretentious television news anchors and reporters. To avoid all that, I’m getting most of my news from reading text online.
