That Time a New York 'Gun Store' Shamed Its Customers
Some anti-gun zealots will go to great lengths to stop law-abiding citizens from buying firearms, including opening a fake gun store in New York City only to shame potential customers with the history behind the guns it stocked. "Collectors love this one," the bearded attendant tells one customer as he displays an AR-15. "Adam Lanza's mom had this in her collection too. Until he took this and several other guns and killed her, then went down to Sandy Hook and killed six teachers and 20 innocent children." New Yorkers Against Gun Violence set up the storefront for just two days while States United to Prevent Gun Violence produced the video of the customers and their follow-up reactions to learning the horrific and tragic history of each gun in the store. But it was all for show. According to Guns.com, "The firearms, like the store itself, were all fake and a New York Police Department official was on site to monitor operations." That's little comfort because many of the guns on display don't comport with New York's misnamed "SAFE Act" -- even if they were only props. In fact, the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association wants an investigation for violations of the law, which would certainly be ironic for these gun grabbers. Regardless, why was the NYPD participating in this kind of political shenanigan? To add to the hypocrisy, Guns.com says the guy behind the counter is "Ned Luke, known for his depiction of a hyper violent criminal in the [Grand Theft Auto video game] series." The people responsible for this mockery of the Second Amendment clearly have no shame. It's proof that the gun control industry cannot advance its objectives without resorting to deceit and psychological manipulation.

If You Mess With People's Second Amendment Rights...
...You face a backlash. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives received about 80,000 comments about its proposed regulation banning M855 ammunition, most commonly used in the AR-15 rifle, before deciding to drop the idea. But still, the feedback continued to pour in. ATF spokeswoman Ginger Colbrun told the Washington Free Beacon, "We've received more than 310,000 public comments. We're still receiving some letters which are postmarked prior to the end of the comment period, March 16th." That's right: The ATF dropped the proposal when only about a third of the feedback came into their offices. Kinda drowns out the calls congressional Democrats made to the ATF asking it to resurrect the ban. And in related news, B. Todd Jones is stepping down as ATF director, effective March 31. Coincidence? Not likely. More...

Cruz Announces POTUS Race to Beat the Odds
In an effort to gain tactical advantage by being first onto the Republican presidential primary field, Sen. Ted Cruz announced his presidential campaign nine minutes after midnight on Twitter. "I'm running for President and I hope to earn your support!" he tweeted along with releasing a 30-second campaign video." But Cruz faces long odds in scoring the GOP nomination. "A CNN/ORC International poll released last week showed Mr. Paul among the early top tier of Republican Party hopefuls with Mr. Bush and Mr. Walker, while Mr. Cruz was far behind," The Washington Times reports. "Just 4 percent of Republican voters said Mr. Cruz would be their first choice for president. ... Mr. Cruz has not received more than 6 percent in any Republican primary poll this year, according to Real Clear Politics data." Announcing early will help churn up press coverage and conservative donors for the Cruz campaign -- something he needs if he's going to beat out candidates like Sen. Rand Paul, who is expected to formally announce his own candidacy in early April. More...  -The Patriot Post

U.S. Lost the War With Al-Qaida in Yemen
How will the nObama administration explain this one? As recently as last September, Barack nObama was pointing to Yemen as an example of his (sole?) foreign policy success. "This strategy of taking out terrorists who threaten us, while supporting partners on the front lines, is one that we have successfully pursued in Yemen and Somalia for years," he boasted. But Yemen is a vastly different place as of last weekend, because ISIL claimed responsibility for a series of mosque bombings that left 137 people dead and 357 wounded. In response, the U.S. decided to pull the 100 U.S. Special Forces from the country. The spokesman for the Yemeni Embassy in Washington, DC, Mohammed al-Basha, wrote on Twitter, "I hate to say this, but I'm hearing the loud and clear beating of the drums of war in Yemen." The Iran-backed Houthis group has grown in the country, ISIL may have opened up one of its terrorist franchises there, and al-Qaida still exists, despite the U.S. drone program that is now nonexistent thanks to the troop pullout. The only group standing up to the impending chaos? The Yemeni army. As The Wall Street Journal said: The U.S. just lost the war with al-Qaida. More...   -The Patriot Post

 Fun Camps for Everyone!
You know what America needs? Fun camps. That's right, because everyone knows "we have a huge fun deficit in America." So said Hilly Clinton to an Atlantic City audience. "As I have gotten older, I have decided we really need camps for adults," she said. "I mean, really. None of the serious stuff, none of the 'life challenge' stuff. More fun! I think we have a huge fun deficit in America. And we need to figure out how to fill that fun deficit -- certainly for our kids, but also for the rest of us." And who better to school us about fun than Hilly? Just don't expect to get more information from her by email. Unfortunately, she's really only borrowing an idea -- "adults" in Brooklyn are already attending preschool again. It used to take a village. Now, evidently, it takes a camp.  -The Patriot Post

Busted Fibbing Again – Hilly’s Email Lies
(theconservativetreehouse.com) - Earlier this month, in response to the exponentially growing email scandal, Hilly Clinton said:…“the vast majority of my work emails went to government employees at their government addresses, which meant they were captured and preserved immediately on the system at the State Department”….Except they weren’t. They didn’t.       http://theconservativetreehouse.com/2015/03/23/busted-fibbing-again-hillarys-email-lies-fall-on-clintonian-definitions-of-vast-majority/

FEMA Reg Demand Governors Bow To God Of Climate Change Or...
(rickwells.us) - In the civilian world it is called extortion. From the perspective of the American people it’s a game of “Truth And Consequences.” If one holds to the truth on the phony, hocus pocus hysteria of manmade climate change, the wealth redistributor in the White House will inflict financial consequences...He's siphoning off the money of states with governors who disagree with his global government, United Nations push and doling it out like Earth Day heroin to those with the a sufficient lack character, intelligence, patriotism or spine who are anxiously awaiting the insertion of the federal IV. It’s obvious coercion and a regime win/win. He’ll either get compliance or he’ll receive a political weapon to use against the governors of character, most of whom are naturally members of his political opposition. Those not willing to be purchased by the ideologues of the regime will be targeted for their fiscal responsibility as being irresponsible.    http://www.rickwells.us/new-fema-regulations-demand-governors-bow-to-god-of-climate-change-or-states-will-be-punished-for-heresy/

9 Dems And Sanders Voted Free Money For Illegal Alien Squatters
(rickwells.us) - The socialist Democrats and their like-minded Communist comrade of the Senate once again sided unanimously with illegal aliens and against the American people in support of preserving a loophole in the tax system...which allows those who file their taxes using a Taxpayer Identification Number to claim a dependent and receive the accompanying tax deduction and refunds regardless of whether or not that dependent is an American citizen. The successful amendment to correct and close the loophole was sponsored by Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL). That dependent doesn’t have to be their child, relative or even to actually exist as there is no verification conducted and no means of mitigating the mountain of fraudulent claims. They are simply accepted and paid, which has resulted in billions of dollars of lost revenue to the American people. What is going on with the Senate? Don't they support the will of the people?       http://www.rickwells.us/nine-democrats-and-commie-bernie-sanders-voted-to-keep-free-money-tax-loophole-for-illegal-alien-squatters/

Ayatollah Khamenei’s “Death to America” is Acceptable Rhetoric
(nicedeb.wordpress.com) - As I’m sure you’ve gathered by now, Benjamin Netanyhu’s campaign rhetoric is being used by nObama as a pretext to throw Israel to the UN wolves. nObama has never been pro-Israel, as his radical, pro-Palestinian, not-so-distant past makes clear...He only projected a pro-Israel pose when he had big elections to win. Now that he has no more elections to go – he can go “full Bulworth” on Israel, using Netanyahu’s heated campaign rhetoric as his pretext to let his pro-Israel mask not only slip, but completely fall off his face and get trampled underfoot. You would think that Bibi’s comments regarding the impossibility of a two state solution under his watch, (given  the Palestinian ruling party’s collaboration with Hamas), and his Facebook comments about Arabs being bused to the polls, would pale in comparison to Ayatollah Khamenei’s condemnation of America over imposed sanctions. But you would be wrong. It turns out, the Supreme Leader’s “death to America” rhetoric is acceptable because they’re aimed at a domestic political audience.

States’ Rights To Stand Up To The EPA
(rickwells.us) - Consistent with the now revolutionary concept of States’ Rights and State Sovereignty, House Republicans are preparing a bill which would provide individual states with an authorization to delay and mitigate some of the damage being imposed by the rogue enviro-Nazis at the EPA...While the Constitution says the states already have those rights, more support is needed as state sovereignty has eroded since the Constitution was adopted. The language of the Tenth Amendment, which reads “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people” is somehow vague and perplexing to Democrats more accustomed to Orwellian double-speak. Rep Ed Whitfield (R-KY) is the chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee panel on energy and power. On Monday he revealed draft legislation of a bill he, Rep Fred Upton (R-MI) and others have been working on which provides additional legal options and authority for states to stand up against repressive federal EPA dictates. Why not defund the EPA and close its doors.     http://www.rickwells.us/states-rights-to-stand-up-to-the-epa-republicans-take-aim-at-the-energy-killing-epa-mandates/

nObama Govt Of The Criminals, By The Criminals And For The...
(rickwells.us) - Here they come again, but they never really stopped coming. The traffic slowed a bit but the number of illegal foreign invaders that are being ushered into the United States by Jeh Johnson’s Department of Homeland “Security” is once again on the rise...Just because his amnesty is stalled temporarily doesn’t mean they’ve given up on importing a replacement population.  After all, there’s more than one way to skin a gringo. With a dismal one in six repatriation rate, the odds are good for those crashing our borders that their green-uniformed welcoming committee won’t be sending them back home but will instead be providing them with an escort, transportation to the shadows and documents to stay and live on the American dime until Democrats find a way to legalize them.       http://www.rickwells.us/obama-government-of-the-criminals-by-the-criminals-and-for-the-criminals-its-open-border-season-again/

“Outsourcing In Place” Visa Scam Will Put Thousands Out Of Work
(rickwells.us) - Relocating your facility overseas to take advantage of cheap labor is an expensive, difficult and sometimes impossible task. Rather than force companies in the United States to decide between that scenario and employing Americans, the “president” has a better idea...Why not just import those same foreign workers into the United States at the same low wage and put them to work at the same company here? It’s like foreign outsourcing in place. The company doesn’t have to spend any money on their facilities or relocation, there is no business interruption and they still get the benefit of the cheap foreign labor. The only down side is that Americans lose their jobs but he and the socialist Democrats have already proven they couldn’t care less about the American workers. This is Obama’s middle class economics at work and it means the middle class doesn’t work, in fact, it’s going to disappear.       http://www.rickwells.us/new-obama-outsourcing-in-place-visa-scam-will-put-hundreds-of-thousands-of-americans-out-of-work-he-couldnt-be-prouder/

Bassam Tawil writes that President nObama's anti-Israel stance is the best gift the Americans could have given to Islamist terrorists. Above, Israeli PM Netanyahu meets President nObama at the White House, May 20, 2011.

 nObama Declares War on Israel
(Bassam Tawil) - Many Arabs and Muslims are rubbing their hands in joy as they watch U.S. President Barack nObama declare war on Israel after the victory of Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud Party in last week's general election...They do not see the rising tensions between nObama and Netanyahu as the result of a personal dispute between two leaders. Instead, the dispute is seen by many Arabs and Muslims as part of the nObama Administration's strategy to undermine Israel and force it to make territorial concessions that would pose an existential threat to Israel. At the beginning of his first term in office, he raised high hopes in the Arab and Islamic countries when he rushed to deliver an apologetic speech at the Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated Al-Azhar University in Cairo. His speech left many Arabs and Muslims with the impression that here, finally, is an American president who is prepared to sacrifice Israel for the sake of appeasing its enemies.       http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/5435/obama-war-Israel

Art Imitating Life, or Propaganda Selling a Flawed Iranian Nuke Deal?
(Roger Aronoff) - When the CBS show “Madam Secretary” premiered last September, there was much speculation and hand-wringing about whether or not the title character, Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord played by Tea Leoni...was inspired by Hilly Clinton, and if this show was meant as a long-running political ad humanizing Hilly Clinton. Such an effort might help make her ascension to the White House seem plausible, if not inevitable. Despite the denials, it seems clear that “Madam Secretary” was just such an effort, and still is. But in the few episodes I’ve watched, I haven’t seen much of what we know of the real Hilly. “If I had the power to fire her, I would have fired her,” commented her long-time critic Jerome Zeifman in 1998, reflecting upon Mrs. Clinton’s political maneuvers during the impeachment of President Richard Nixon.       http://www.aim.org/aim-column/art-imitating-life-or-propaganda-selling-a-flawed-iranian-nuke-deal/?utm_source=AIM+-+Daily+Email&utm_campaign=email032415&utm_medium=email

Did Anthony Kennedy Just Show His Hand On The nObamacare Case?
(Sarah Hurtubise) - Justice Anthony Kennedy’s comments in a run-of-the-mill budget meeting Monday may have signaled how he intends to vote in this year’s biggest nObamacare lawsuit over the legality of federal premium subsidies...In a Monday budget request before the House Appropriations Committee, Justice Anthony Kennedy, typically the swing vote on the Court, made comments that could suggest he’s leaning in favor of the plaintiffs in King v. Burwell. The question in the pivotal case is whether the text of nObamacare restricts the law’s popular premium subsidies to state-run exchanges, of which there are only 14, and bans them from the vast majority of states that use the federally-run exchange, HealthCare.gov. The battle over the lawsuit about nObamacare subsidies currently before the Supreme Court has focused on whether anyone’s got a solution if the Court’s decision ends up skyrocketing HealthCare.gov premiums. The liberal justices are scrambling on how to justify nObamaCare.

Bibi's a conniving, calculating --

Bibi's a conniving, calculating -- and don't forget, dangerous! -- liar?

(jewishworldreview.com) - Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's statement claiming that he still favors a two-state solution to the conflict with the Palestinians isn't likely to persuade his detractors that he wants peace.

The day before his decisive victory in Tuesday's election, he vowed that there would be no Palestinian state established on his watch. This provoked a torrent of international criticism and served as justification for nObama administration threats to abandon Israel at the United Nations.

But while Netanyahu can certainly be accused with some justice of being a cynical flip-flopper, this episode doesn't justify the claims that Israel wasn't negotiating in good faith with the Palestinians during the past few years.

Nor is it entirely illogical.

In fact, the two statements show that Netanyahu is very much in tune with the views of most Israelis. They support a two-state solution with the Palestinians in principle. But they also know that isn't a realistic option under the current circumstances.

Let's concede that Netanyahu's comments about not allowing the creation of a Palestinian state while he was prime minister was a brazen attempt to lure voters away from right-wing allies in order to boost his Likud Party totals. But whether this was necessary or not, it must be accepted that it helped him and that it was not unfair of critics to conclude that he was retracting his 2009 Bar-Ilan University speech in which he accepted a two-states as the basis for peace. But his subsequent effort in an interview with NBC's Andrew Mitchell to claim that he still favors such a solution is, while seemingly inconsistent, actually correct.

Whatever he may have said on Monday, the left's talking point about the campaign proving that Netanyahu had been lying for six years doesn't hold water.

Whether you like the prime minister or loathe him, the fact remains that Netanyahu did freeze settlement building at President nObama's behest. He also sent his recent electoral opponent Tzipi Livni to negotiate peace with Secretary of State Hanoi John Kerry and Palestinian Authority head Mahmoud Abbas.

As we now know, documents have revealed that he went a long way toward accommodating Hanoi Kerry's ideas for a framework during those talks and even Livni concedes that it was Abbas who torpedoed them by never negotiating in good faith.

Had Abbas been serious about a two state solution at any point during the last six years he could have said he was willing to recognize Israel as a Jewish state but he refused to do so no matter where its borders might be drawn. He also continued to assert that he could never give up the right of return for the descendants of the 1948 refugees. Both stands are reflective of the fact that Palestinian nationalism has always been inextricably tied to the war on Zionism. Assuming he wanted to, Abbas is incapable of abandoning these stands and surviving. Hamas has no interest in such a scenario.

Moreover, Palestinian actions during the last 20 years of peace processing have convinced the overwhelming majority of Israeli voters, including many who voted for Netanyahu's opponents, that neither Abbas nor his Hamas rivals ruling in Gaza have any interest in signing a peace agreement that will end the conflict for all time.

Even if you want to ignore what happened in the 1990s when Yasir Arafat was running the Palestinian Authority and it set out on a course of fomenting hatred and subsidizing terrorism, Abbas's record is not better. In 2008, he rejected Ehud Olmert's offer of independence and a state in almost all of the West Bank, Gaza and a share of Jerusalem just as Arafat had done in 2000 and 2001. Even worse, after Israel's 2005 withdrawal from Gaza, the strip has become an independent Palestinian state in all but name and transformed into a base for terrorism by its Hamas rulers.

Under those circumstances and with the PA refusing to hold elections about of fear that the corrupt kleptocracy that runs the West Bank might be replaced by their Islamist rivals, it's little wonder most Israeli voters think Netanyahu was right when he warned that two states now meant another Hamasistan next to the Jewish state's population centers.

A two state solution in which a demilitarized Palestinian state lives peacefully next to Israel with both Jews and Arabs free to live unmolested on either side of the border is the ideal solution to the conflict. But until a sea change in the Palestinian political culture happens to make that an actual possibility rather than merely a fantasy, no rational Israeli government would consent to a complete withdrawal from the territory.

Is it possible to oppose a two-state solution under the current circumstances but to be for it in principle? Netanyahu's detractors would argue that it isn't. What's more they claim that his vow and his "Hamasistan" comments show that he merely wants to preserve the status quo.

But this reflects the basic myth that has been the foundation of the mistaken policies pursued by the nObama administration. Like some on the Jewish left, they've wrongly assumed that the only thing that is missing for peace to become a reality is a willingness on Israel's part to take risks to achieve it.

But Israel has been taking such risks for 20 years and has discovered that it traded land for terror, not peace. That realization has rendered the Israeli left unelectable and given Netanyahu a fourth term in office. Even if Isaac Herzog's Zionist Union had beaten the Likud on Tuesday, he was no more likely to create a Palestinian state than Netanyahu.

It's long past time for the United States to acknowledge that Palestinian intransigence and terror are the real obstacles to peace. Peace will happen when the Palestinians decide they are ready for a two state solution that has always been favored more by Israelis than Arabs.

Until that happens, it can remain a theoretical goal but one that, like Netanyahu, sensible Israelis will not choose to pursue under the present circumstances.
