Pompeo said that while the issue of the Trump administration's decision to withdraw American forces from Syria will likely be an agenda issue, his high-level meetings with Arab leaders will mostly focus on building a coalition to counter the Iranian regime, which continues to launch terror strikes against Israel and other U.S. allies in the region. "We took over from an administration that let Iran loose," Pompeo said in response to questions from the Free Beacon, referring to the scumbag/liar-nObama administration's efforts to appease Tehran in a bid to ink the landmark nuclear deal. "That is a big effort to push back against." Pompeo also confirmed to the Free Beacon that he will be delivering major speech while in Cairo, Egypt, but declined to get into specifics about the contents of his address. It is expected that Iran's continued support for terrorism will receive top billing. {freebeacon.com} ~ A Navy warship conducted an operation to contest China's claims of controlling international waters in the South China Sea, the Pacific Fleet said Monday... China responded by sending ships and aircraft to confront the vessel, the Chinese Foreign Minister said. Lt. Rachel McMarr, a Fleet spokeswoman, said the guided missile destroyer USS McCampbell conducted a freedom of navigation operation on Monday by sailing within 12 nautical miles of the Paracel Islands. The operation was designed to "challenge excessive maritime claims and preserve access to the waterways as governed by international law," she said in a statement. The operation is part of a series of maneuvers by Navy warships to challenge Chinese claims of owning up to 90 percent of the South China Sea, including disputed islands in the northern and southern parts of the sea. It’s Not Money Causing Teachers 

To Leave Their Jobs In Droves, It’s People

{thefederalist.com} ~ The Wall Street Journal recently framed the record number of teachers leaving the profession as the result of a money problem... Unfortunately, the reasons teachers are quitting their jobs isn’t as easily explained as the mainstream media would like you to believe. Teaching is considered a noble profession for a deep spiritual reason. So the decline of the teaching profession cannot be explained by just following the money, and the same can be said about the American K-12 system as whole. While many frame teaching as a low-paying profession, this is generally not the case. The average teacher salary nationwide is $59,050, according to federal statistics, above the national median income. That doesn’t include health or pension benefits, which are on average 50 percent greater than those of private-sector workers. Compensation like this might present some difficulty with purchasing power in America’s major cities like Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago, but I know many young teachers who live fairly well even in these cities. They might not be able to compete with college classmates who chose the banking industry, but these young people don’t choose to become teachers for the salary. The sort of people interested in teaching choose the profession because they consider the work meaningful. It also provides the benefit of work-life balance, and if money is a concern there are plenty of opportunities for teachers to use weekends or summers to earn extra income...

Mike Thompson (D-Calif.), is a bipartisan measure, with Rep. Peter T. King (N.Y.) serving as the lead Republican co-sponsor. King is a traitor. That much is certain.This first salvo is aimed at background checks. For years, Democrats and several Republicans have been calling for Congress to take steps to better regulate gun purchases and possession, pointing to a spate of recent mass shootings such as the 2018 Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Fla., the 2017 massacre at an outdoor music festival in Las Vegas, the 2016 shooting at a nightclub in Orlando, and the 2012 shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., and at a movie theater in Aurora, Colo. commie-Bernie Sanders: #MeToo Villain or Victim?

by Political Editors:  Was the most leftist candidate of the 2016 presidential election guilty of allowing a sexist “toxic environment” to exist within his campaign, or is this the work of “woke” “social justice warriors” working to remove obstacles for the “right” gendered 2020 candidate in this era of #MeToo?

             The New York Times ran a story this week alleging that Sen. commie-Bernie Sanders’s 2016 campaign team engaged in sexism. The article quotes several female members of commie-Sanders’s campaign team, including Giulianna Di Lauro, who claims that her complaints to supervisors of being sexually harassed by campaign surrogates were ignored. Di Lauro describes the harassment as being grabbed and touched in a “sexual way” that pushed her boundaries.
               Another former member of commie-Sanders’s campaign team, Samantha Davis, said that she “did experience sexual harassment during the campaign, and there was no one who would or could help.”
               commie-Sanders initially offered the obligatory apology statement, saying, “I’m not going to sit here and tell you that we did everything right, in terms of human resources. I certainly apologize to any woman who felt she was not treated appropriately, and of course if I run we will do better the next time.” However, when pressed by CNN’s Anderson Cooper on whether he had any knowledge of the alleged harassment, Sanders responded dismissively, “I was a little bit busy running around the country trying to make the case.”
               As the media attention on this story has grown, commie-Sanders’s former campaign manager and current adviser came out apologizing for putting together a campaign team that was “too male” and “too white,” and pledged to “remedy” it should  commie-Sanders run for the 2020 election.
               Thus far it appears that most of the details offered seem rather tame and could be understood to be issues of situational misunderstandings rather than a culture of outright sexual harassment. That raises the ironic specter of the Democrat leadership seeking to torpedo another commie-Sanders campaign run before it even starts.
               In fact, the Times works to make the Democrats’ case, noting that the sexual-harassment allegations have “raised questions among them about whether he can adequately fight for the interests of women, who have increasingly defined the Democratic Party in the Trump era, if he runs again for the presidential nomination in 2020.” Way back in 1996, feminist Gloria Steinem called commie-Sanders “an honorary woman.” We guess that’s ancient history.  ~The Patriot Post
