There was no way that Bull Connor and the Birmingham Police were going to protect you.” Connor, an Alabama Democrat, used attack dogs and turned fire hoses on black civil rights demonstrators in the early 1960s, and who took other nefarious actions to counter the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Some Teachers, Restrict Gun Sales

{ newsmax.com } ~ In response to a deadly Florida school shooting last month, the state's Senate narrowly passed a bill Monday that would create new restrictions on rifle sales and allow some teachers to carry guns in schools... The 20-18 vote came after three hours of often emotional debate. Support and opposition crossed party lines, and it was clear many of those who voted for the bill weren't entirely happy with it. "Do I think this bill goes far enough? No! No, I don't!" said Democratic Sen. Lauren Book, who tearfully described visiting Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School after 17 people were fatally shot on Valentine's Day. She also would have liked a ban on assault-style rifles, like many of the students who traveled to the state Capitol to ask lawmakers to go even further to stop future mass shootings. Two of the imams quoted from a hadith that says: "The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him". Two other imams, respectively, asked Allah "to destroy the Zionists and their allies, and those who assist them" and "to wreak vengeance upon the plundering oppressors". Prior to these December calls, in July 2017, two imams in California Riverside and Davis also called for killing Jews. One imam quoted the hadith above. He later apologized, claiming that "The last thing that I would do is intentionally hurt anyone, Muslim, Jewish or otherwise. It is not in my heart"... Anti-Trump FBI agent Peter Strzok, the agent initially in charge of investigating liar-Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server during the 2016 campaign... may have been responsible for a major screw-up toward the end of his investigation. Fox News has the details: During the final months of the liar-Clinton email investigation, FBI agent Peter Strzok was advised of an irregularity in the metadata of liar-Hillary Clinton’s server that suggested a possible breach, but there was no significant follow up, according to two sources with knowledge of the matter. Sources told Fox News that Strzok, who sent anti-Trump text messages that got him removed from the ongoing Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe, was told about the metadata anomaly in 2016, but Strzok did not support a formal damage assessment. One source said: “Nothing happened.”... Why Low Oil Prices Help America Strategically
by Harold Hutchison: We’re sure you all have heard Vladimir Putin talking real big and tough about his new nukes. Don’t believe that hype. Two of those “invincible” weapons, that nuclear-powered cruise missile and the hypersonic weapon, will be easily handled by the lasers America is working on.
That is, if the Russians can even get their super-weapons fielded. One reason they may have trouble is the price of oil and natural gas, and President Donald Trump’s policies are sending those prices down. This should sound familiar. In the book Victory, Peter Schweizer described how Ronald Reagan defeated the Soviet Union with low oil prices. Back then, Reagan secured it by getting the Saudis to ramp up production. Trump, though, wants to promote American oil and gas, some of which is exported to countries like Poland.
In other words, not only is Putin getting a smaller pie, he is losing part of that smaller pie to the United States. It’s kind of hard to fund a new military and pay off the oligarchs and other shady figures when the price of the stuff you are selling drops and you’re not the only person selling it. In short, Putin may boast about the wonder weapons, but a shortage of funds means they will take longer to develop and field. By which point, the United States has counters in place.
Iran will also take a hit. Like Moscow, Tehran needs the oil money to pay for advanced weapons. China is a likely customer for that oil, but the supertankers carrying said oil have to pass through the Andaman Sea, and the increasingly powerful Indian Navy. It’s kind of hard for the ayatollahs to buy new weapons in large quantities when the product they sell for the necessary funds isn’t selling for as much.
When we talk energy policy, we’re not just talking about how cheap it is to fill up your gas tank. We are also talking about a powerful tool to advance America’s strategic interests. Or put a crimp in the plans of America’s enemies. ~The Patriot Post
