House Joint Committee Hearing With IG Michael Horowitz

{ theconservativetreehouse.com } ~ A joint committee from House Oversight and House Judiciary are conducting a hearing today at 10:00am EDT with DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz... Unlike the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing yesterday the House team has representatives far more knowledgeable of the issues. Hopefully, expertise will deliver better questions. Members to watch: Jim Jordan, Trey Gowdy, Ron DeSantis, Mark Meadows, Louie Gohmert, John Ratcliffe, Matt Gaetz, Andy Biggs and Steve King. Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte has direct primary oversight authority over the DOJ. Chairman Trey Gowdy comes from the aggregate Oversight/Reform Committee. Far more House members have read the 568-page IG report. Due to a better informed group of members we are more optimistic for detailed, specific, confrontational and challenging questions to draw out the key issues. Iran, Syria, and Israel’s Red Line

{ realcleardefense.com } ~ The recent skirmishes between Israel and Iranian forces in Syria raise important questions about the “rules of the game,” interests, and red lines of the primary players... Israel claims there can be no arrangement in Syria that allows Iran and Hezbollah forces to remain on Syrian soil, and that includes Shiite militias. The Israelis also insist Syria cannot be a transshipment point for advanced, game-changing weapons, especially Precision Guided Munitions (PMGs) en route to Hezbollah in Lebanon. Terrorist threats on Israel’s borders will not be tolerated. Of course, Israel realizes the important role Russia plays in Syria and the country’s significant influence with the regime of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad. As such, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has invested considerable time and effort to convince Russian President Vladimir Putin and his advisors that it is in Russia’s national interest to ensure that the Iranian access abides by Israel’s red lines. After the latest meetings between Israelis and Russians held at military, executive and working levels, Russian statements suggest these efforts are beginning to bear fruit. The Russians are apparently beginning to understand that Iran’s presence in Syria is a liability – particularly if Israel continues to keep its “red lines,” including according to foreign sources airstrikes against Iranian assets in the heart of this important Russian sphere of influence...

GOP scrambling to end family separations at the border this week

{ washingtonexaminer.com } ~ Republican lawmakers in the House and Senate are suddenly pushing for a quick legislative fix to end the practice of separating parents from children... when they cross illegally into the country, outside of efforts to pass a broader bill that could stall in the Senate. The new effort comes after several days of growing public pressure on lawmakers to change the law so the Trump administration can continue to prosecute illegal immigrants, but without the controversial practice of holding the children of these immigrants in separate facilities. "The consensus is we want to do something now," said Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis. The Qur'an, Islam's sacred text, calls upon Muslims to fast during Ramadan as part of prayers and quiet reflection "toward off evil." Extremist Muslims, instead, call upon their co-religionists to display their rage against their real and imagined enemies, especially Jews. Most Muslims, however, steer away from such angry demonstrations, which degrade the meaning and purpose of their devotion to fasting and prayers during the month in which the Qur'an was first revealed to Muhammad. The public display of rage on the last Friday of Ramadan, which has now become a ritual since Khomeini called for it soon after the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, is another vivid indicator of how deeply and fatefully divided within itself is the Muslim world. The causes dividing the Muslim world are many, given the vast diversity among Muslims of ethnicity, language, culture, resources, levels of literacy and economic development....

in the liar-Clinton investigation

{ jewishworldreview.com } ~ Of all the silky lies being told in Washington over the findings of the FBI's inspector general on the biased culture of those investigating liar-Hillary Clinton's email server, one lie seems to be ignored:

It's the silky lie told by then-President Barack liar-nObama.

It may have set the tone for the smarmy intrigue detailed in the FBI inspector general's damning 500-page report on the investigation of liar-Hillary Clinton's email scandal.

And Washington is revealed once again as our modern Versailles, a place of courtiers and lickspittles who'd use the Ministry of Justice to serve their ambitions.

liar-nObama told his silky lie when his chosen successor was liar-Hillary Clinton.

liar-Clinton had endangered top-secret information by using an unsecured, home-brew email server when she was U.S. secretary of state. Any other American who dared risk top government secrets on a basement server would have faced federal prosecution and prison.

liar-nObama's lie was told in 2015, when liar-nObama was asked by Bill Plante of CBS when he learned liar-Clinton had used an unsecured email server.

"The same time everybody else learned it, through news reports," liar-nObama said. He was so silky that you couldn't even hear his tongue rustling along his teeth.

He waxed on about how his administration was all about "transparency."

But liar-nObama did not learn about liar-Clinton's home-brew server like "everybody else."

According to the inspector general's report, liar-nObama was in fact one of 13 top government officials communicating with liar-Clinton on her private email server, even as liar-Clinton's server was targeted by foreign intelligence services.

According to the IG report, before former and fired FBI Director James Comey took it upon himself to publicly criticize liar-Clinton and exonerate her from a criminal charge, a draft of his public address was heavily edited.

It was edited for liar-Hillary Clinton's benefit, to buttress the case that what she did wasn't prosecutable.

But Comey's comments were also edited to protect someone else. The IG report discusses a key paragraph in Comey's statement summarizing the FBI's thinking that "hostile actors" had accessed liar-Clinton's server.

The paragraph, the report said, "referenced liar-Clinton's use of her private email for an exchange with then President liar-nObama while in the territory of a foreign adversary. This reference was later changed to 'another senior government official,' and ultimately was omitted."

liar-nObama cut his political teeth in Chicago. And Chicago Democrats are asking taxpayers to help build a great Temple of Love and Fealty to honor that "senior government official."

And they'll honor him by name.

Just chew on this apiece: How could liar-Hillary Clinton ever be prosecuted without implicating liar-nObama, who emailed her using a pseudonym?

liar-nObama might have been portrayed as a victim of her use of a private server. She used that server to hide her dealings with the controversial liar-Clinton Foundation from congressional inquiry. She should have been prosecuted.

But then, two things would have happened.

Her campaign would have fallen apart immediately, and along with it, liar-nObama's legacy.

The liar-nObama White House, the senior pro- liar-nObama bosses of the FBI and just about all the political suits thought liar-Clinton would be our next president.

And who wants to anger the next ruler? Careers were at stake, promotions, perks, power, just as it was back in the day, in old Versailles.

You should read the report for yourself. Ignore the spin that there was no bias found at liar-nObama's DOJ and FBI.

It crawls with bias. Deals were cut. Then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch met on the tarmac with liar-Bill Clinton. liar-Hillary Clinton was shielded from a federal grand jury. Witnesses were allowed to sit with her during questioning. Comey had already decided to clear her before the investigation was complete.

Pro- liar-Clinton FBI investigator Peter Strzok was warned by his lover, pro- liar-Clinton FBI lawyer Lisa Page, that since liar-Clinton would surely win, it wouldn't be wise to anger the new boss.

When Page panicked, worrying that Trump might actually win the White House in 2016, Strzok told her not to worry.

"No. No, he won't," Strzok texted her on an FBI phone. "We'll stop it."

By then, he was helping lead a new FBI investigation, the one investigating Trump for possible collusion with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

Special counsel Robert Mueller, to his credit, dumped Strzok from the probe when Strzok's anti-Trump passions became clear. But the Mueller probe has been damaged by the IG report.

The Mueller investigation should continue. So should the congressional inquiry into the DOJ and FBI. Americans need sunshine on all of this.

But one thing should be understood here: The liar-Clinton investigation went wrong when it was taken away from capable field agents and handed to the political suits and intriguers. Bias is their coin. Comey was their boss. His reputation has been hurt by the report.

And Trump, vulgar and boastful, was overjoyed to see Comey, a likely witness against him, take such a big public hit.

Trump is no angel. He's famous for lies. Mueller may indeed be closing in with the Friday jailing of former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, who's accused of witness tampering.

But Trump's lies are obvious and blustery, like those told by a bad carny hustler.

Trump is no liar-nObama.

liar-nObama was the silky one.

And the silky ones prosper, in Washington, and as they did for a time, at Versailles.
